So it looks like we're getting a one hour crossover! Though it's weird Toei considers this to be the first Sentai x Rider crossover.

Well maybe it's an actual crossover episode from both shows rather than just being in Decade.

Also cool to see Ichigou, Nigou, and V3 be in it too.

I seriously cant wait for this, just wish it had been Kyoryuger instead of toqger :lol

I think Shison Jun (ToQ 1Gou) mentioned on his blog that the crossover is a direct continuation of the Heisei VS Showa movie.

The Decade/Shinkenger crossover was on both shows, though. Started on Decade, continued on Shinkenger, finished on a Decade.

Not that much. In Shinkenger, the crossover had no impact on the story, just Ika Origami was missing for a few episodes and we had a short clip in which Kaito steals Ika. The actual crossover happened just in those two Decade episodes.

Started on decade? I thought at the end of shinkenger they tesed it, then decade ended it? lol at MOTW diend though.

Actually its going to be a VS. Special which is a first since all the other VS were movies.


Also there is going to be a form of ToQ-oh.

No, I remember watching an episode of Shinkenger between the two Decade ones. A Shinkenger monster stole the Diend driver and there was much discussion of how the US adaptation would handle that episode.

ToQger and Gaim just keep getting better and better, well Gaim's been going downhill slowly, but seems its gonna pick up again when the new arms come.

But that was all in Decade. In Shinkenger, we had the scene were Kaito steels Ika Origami (Episode 20), but the episode itself focused on Kotoha- no Decade characters appeared before mentioned scene. In episode 24 of Decade, we had the Gedou-DiEnd plot, so this was NOT in Shinkenger. In Episode 21 of Shinkenger, we had the story about Chiaki's dad. The only mentions of the Decade crossover were the introduction scene, with Genta looking for Kaito and Ika Origami, a short sequence with Natsumi coming out of the house (that happened while the Shinkengers fought a regular Ayakashi) and the end scene with Narutaki warning Takeru and Tsukasa and Takeru talking briefly. The rest also all happens just in Decade, NOT in Shinkenger.

Just in case you still want to argue, I actually CHECKED that by watching those episodes.

And thats pretty much the only relevant thing for the story that happens in the Shinkenger Episode. I remember that I didnt watch this Episode when it all aired and was absolutely confused when I saw the second Decade episode :lol

Awww. I was hoping for a Gaim resha for the special. The denliner is cool too. Im not gona lie, I just preordered the Denliner too. Was that perfect timing or what.

Is this crossover special going to be canon to both shows?

It's canon to the movie, but probably not so much for the shows. Though we haven't had any infos on the movie being canon, have we?

People are now thinking Saban are going to adapt the Gaim crossover when ToQger gets adapted in the US. I think Decade never got adapted because Saban & Bandai think that there's not enough stuff in the show to make merchandise for a show that's 30 episodes long or they bump into legal reasons since Decade has Ryuki characters and Adness Entertainment may still have the rights to those characters.

No, it's just that he always gets set up as this mysterious quasi-villain that has some kind of personal beef with Decade that never gets explained and every time he's appeared since the end of Decade his exact nature gets more and more confusing.

Anything from Decade showing up will only make it worse.


On top of that, Toei just can't seem to keep crossovers simple anymore. Gaim vs. ToQger. That's a simple idea that will make for a fun hour of watching characters play off of each other. They have enough on their own to work with. There is no reason to add a bunch of other stuff that has no reason to appear.

Wasn't there some information that this would tie in directly with the Heisei vs Showa film? That might explain Narutaki's involvement.

Of course, I don't hate that particular related series as much as others seem to.

Will I be able to skip this or should I watch it? I haven't seen any of Gaim so I'm not sure how that side of it will work

Gaim is pretty good, like, really pretty good. I'm not sure about ToQger.

This is more or less a cute one-off style adventure that pretty much exists to shill the movie. It's not part of either show's episodes proper (it's titled as Episode SP for both). So if you WANT to skip it, you can. The special's been pretty... divisive? I liked it though.

If you want to watch the Kamen Rider Taisen movie, I'd recommend to watch it as a prequel. It might work to skip this (we'll see about how it ties in to the show next week) but as it was really well-written and fun to watch, I think it shouldn't be skipped.

I don't stand why Narutaki called himself a "friend to all Riders" when he was one of the main villains in Decade. Also why he was in the special in the first place? His cameo seems pointless.
