It's going to be sooooooo good.

It's looking good, I must admit that (although CGI work looks so interchangeable these days). My brain goes to Mass Effect when I hear those deep horns in trailers now though.

Freaking brilliant! I can't wait for that MonsterArts figure.

Dem US Budgets. Say what you like of say the Transformers Films, or Pacific Rim or whatever, it certainly beats rubber suits surrounded by cardboard buildings on obvious soundstages.

It gave me chills when I saw him at the end. Must go to see it.

Well, I'm excited. And I have to agree with Locke; I'm really enjoying the big budget low camp takes on the genre.

Also, there's a pretty major plot point in that trailer that I wasn't expecting.

I enjoy both styles.

The atmosphere is just so freakin tense.

That was amazing.

I was absolutely blown away by this. The nuclear testing was meant to destroy him?! I mean damn. This US Godzilla will finally live up to the incredibly monstrous legacy of the real character. BRAVO Legendary. And Bryan Cranston you magnificent bastard!

Well no, it was pretty clear that they said 1954.

That I hope this has some kinda link to the original then just being standard reboot

Kinda makes me wanna go back and experience the whole franchise if they are gonna be referencing it in this.

I think I know what you mean, but I'm still excited. It feels like they're just gonna focus on the people and Godzilla is just the threat rather than the star of the show. Part of a Godzilla film is the feeling that you should be rooting for him like he is a victim even though he's clearly the biggest badass around.

There's still a lot to see and Godzilla is one of my favorite franchises so I'm still plenty excited to see it. I just hope they don't give him the Transformers treatment. Y'know the whole, "Oh movie is running out of time, alright badguys time to die by default."

That's the problem though.Most people expect to see Godzilla and nothing but,yet many of the best Godzilla movies out there do focus on the humans,and their struggle during his fights.

I do want to see the big guy on screen a lot more then usual,but if it has no characters in it then it'll basically be a watered down Pacific Rim.And seeing how well Pacific Rim did in the eyes of most major papers,that would mean no sequel.

I want this to be a success,and if that means that there has to be focus on some characters as well as Godzilla,then so be it.I mean they got Bryan Cranston and Ken Watanabe.That right there should tell you that they're thinking "Yeah,we have to have humans,but damn if were not going to pick some of the best for the job."

So freaking pumped.

I'm not at all opposed to giving a human perspective to Godzilla encounters but this particular director has demonstrated remarkable incompetence with handling humans (I'd say go watch "Monsters" to prove my point but "Monsters" is a horrible piece of shit that I wouldn't recommend to anyone).

I see your point,but we can't go into every movie the director makes thinking it will be Monsters either. What if this turns out to be his breakthrough film?

Oh man I like the super dire tone this trailer has. Not much else to say that hasn't been said before (i.e Godzilla's enormous). Oh and I wonder what that second monster is that was glimpsed briefly. Looks like it had wings?

I'm thinking a mantis-like creature.Planes were falling from the sky which could mean flight and there was a claw that looked just like a mantis claw.

Hmm. I wonder if it'll be named Kamakuras then.

It does and I thought the same thing. Rodan seems the most likely possibility.

Or Mothra...or Ghidorah...

It didn't have those kinds of wings. The brief glimpse we had looked more reptilian. So I doubt Mothra. Didn't look like it had multiple heads either.

I think the trailer was awesome to be honest.

Well I dunno, watching it again, all I saw was that it fell form the sky and that it had wings. Can't really say what the wings looked like though. For all we know, it could be Varan.

and for all we know.. it could be something new.

I didn't even notice another one. Guess I'll have to rewatch haha.

There are 3.Godzilla,"Rodan"(The one that dived into the ocean),and the claw monster(after Godzilla gets flares shot up by him,the next scene is a claw slamming down)

I didn't like the line "Back to the stoneage", it's to overused in movies and such and doesn't have the same emotional impact it once had.
