A trademark filing by the production company of Power Rangers has revealed that the second "season" of the upcoming Power Rangers Dino Charge will be titled Power Rangers Dino Supercharge.

But seriously though, we're seriosuly doing this two years for one Sentai thing again? Unless the Kyoryugers turn into the Go-busters or the Toqqugers.

They need to just stop calling the second half of a season "Super". Also,just focus on one series.Don't mix and match.Super Megaforce is proving that it doesnt work.

So two seasons of 13 eps each stretched over two full tv seasons. It just feels like they are trying to stretch things too far. But they've done this before so 'oh wel'.

I would like it if they could use some more words from the English language though.

we knew this would happen, its a side effect of being a part of nickelodeon.

they are the ones dictating the 20 episode seasons and then waiting half a year to air half of it. for some reason that is their strategy and while it really sucks it works for them.

I'm calling it with you. And considering this is a dinosaur themed season, it's probably all the more tempting for them to do it.

Every time I see "Super" slapped on one of these it reminds of what the biggest problem facing this series is right now, Laziness. I mean it's like they don't even care or try, and if they do try they just seem to have the attitude of "Oh well it's supposed to be cheesey". No one said it wasn't, but cheesey doesn't necessarily mean bad, cheesey can in fact mean still enjoyable. Yes I know the first few seasons of MMPR were rough around the edges and that was part of its charm, but 20 full years have passed and you should have a much better clue as to what you want. Now I know the whole 2 season thing is Nick's and I can give you a slight pass on that one, but what that really means is you should have more time to actually sit down and plan out a decent set up a bare minimum, not simply copy and paste the Sentai plots and throw Super around like it's gonna catch on. It's dumb and I can even hear it in the actors voices when they say "Super Mega" anything that they think it's dumb to. Speaking of, sidenote: On the Goseiger cards I get that there are some words you simply can't use but come on, did you just assume your audience couldn't read? Could you not use some kind of wipe at least or were you too busy wiping out Angel wings that would offend all of 3 people? And for that matter why change Hyper Gosei Great to Ultimate Gosei Great when it clearly says in HD resolution HYPER, what did you think that would offend the same 3 Angel haters? Just stop and think about what you're doing guys, you will kill the franchise if you have 0 originality, and that is true of any franchise no matter the audience or the content.

Well this was pretty obviously going to happen. And yet I had some idiotic idea they wouldn't repeat this nonsense 2 season format. Oh well. I'll keep watching the good stuff while this turns into the 3rd train wreck in a row.

It really hurts. Every single time they announce some new series, I get all excited saying that maybe, just maybe, this time it'll be different.

Maybe Saban is just finding their legs. Samurai was too quick after the purchase, they needed time. Super Samurai was necessary to placate Nickelodeon. Megaforce will change everything, you'll see. Super Megaforce, err, is going to be based on Gokaiger and that's good right?

The insulting thing is that it's not even a subjective or taste issue. It is simply hard to defend against the charge that Saban Brands is being lazy with this because they can.

Honestly, I don't understand why people are getting pissed at the prospect of a repeating format of seasons of the potiental reuse of a theme song. If the show's gonna be good or not, let's watch it to judge it to base it off its own merits, not rumors we hear about it a year before the show is gonna air.

I mean Toei has been doing the sameintroduction shit with Kamen Rider since Double. Secondary Rider shows up in january, Super Mode shows up in Feburary, Secondary Rider upgrade appears in April, Final Form appears in May e.t.c. Gaim even falls under that trap but since the plot is so amazing, varied and intresting, people forget that the same shit is going on.

Most head spinning for me is the response from the wider community. Power Rangers gets trashed by the wider toku community, especially Disney for some odd reason... And yet when Saban hits the epitome of their laziness...people start to NOW defend it?

Seriously, if you go into any thread there are very vocal people defending Saban's I dunno....right to be lazy or something. I found myself close to ripping my hair out in that Dairanger thread, where Saban played right into the haters hands and lived up to their fantastical versions of Saban's shittiness...only for the haters to come galloping in the defence of the use of the footage. It's like they don't want to be right, they just want to be contrary.

It's just bizarre because when Power Rangers was good, you couldn't swing a cat for the people working holes until we had vortexes but now Power Rangers is genuinely a piece of shit, you can't swing a cat for people jumping into Saban's defence.
