It was so beautiful, too... |
That sounds awesome.
I think one of the best parts is that even though it'd cost $$$$$ the characters are that: CHARACTERS. This is why I am dreading Dino Volt. King is Sentai's Kamina, and Kyoryuger its Gurren Lagann. Dino Volt has to be that, and it won't be easy |
*Flips over table, cries for a bit, then sighs and carries on*
|
Once again, Amit Bhaumik proves that the fans could do a better job handling the show than the creator himself.
|
Which is ironic considering how bad Wild Force was.
|
Oh man I wish this had happened, but the only thing that I dont like was that all the Disney seasons wouldve been in the same universe, just have RPM in Dimension X instead. But other than that this is awesome!
|
Well, this was pretty good. But instead we're getting a macekred version of Kyoryuger. *Sigh* The only downside was that Ziggy would be dead.
|
interesting, but i really dont care for a rehash of a previous years villain. other than that its pretty good
|
Sounds amazing like normal with Amit.
|
I hate saying this because I'm happy as hell they skipped it and are going straight for Kyoryuger, but this does sound good.
Why the hell do they never use his ideas? His idea for Samurai was far better than what we got to. |

That said, there are some of this that's great and some just seems too fanficcy and not realistic for a Power Rangers season, such as Dr. K returning and Kendrix as mayor. |

It's so surreal watching In Space while all this shit is unfurling. It's got all the same big names on it as these shows do, but whereas Megaforce tacked on an unmorphed scene as the credits rolled In Space literally can't seem to find place to put the Megaranger footage because it has so much original footage. Entirely new villains, entirely new footsoldiers, an entirely new plot and setting. It's just how it possible they could make that and then THIS.
It's a big reason why I'm not gonna lose hope on Dino Charge, not yet. |

Then again, the theory goes that at that point the higher ups weren't paying much attention to PR so the producers got away with whatever they wanted. The same thing is supposed to have happened around the time of RPM. The threat of cancellation does strange things to executives. What I've gleaned from Amit's blog is that every time he suggested something that had promise someone like Tzachor said "yeah, that's great and all but what about my idea instead." And it looks like it happened enough for it to be a 'thing'. Then they conveniently run out of time to hash out the ideas properly... It's really quite interesting to read what Amit says about his time working on power rangers. Very interesting indeed. |
Amit's ideas are just way too fan-fic'y for me to get behind. I would love to tie Venjix in as this multiverse villain, but his entire story would never work from the word go. The ideals and lessons that Power Rangers is setting out to teach (teamwork, friendship, anti-bullying, etc.) in every season is totally absent from this "THE RANGERS VISIT THE RPM AND LOST GALAXY RANGERS AND SOME OF THEM DIE AND THE RANGERS GET FIRED AND NEW RANGERS TAKE THEIR PLACE AND AND AND" story pitch.
There are some things that just won't change in Power Rangers. 1) No one dies RPM got away with it (killing off NON-Ranger characters) but that's because no one that was funding it was paying attention to it until the bill came in. 2) The "6th" Ranger, whether they be an actual 6th or in this case a 4th, are always male Changing Gold from male to female wouldn't work. Silver would have been a possibility, but not Gold. 3) Every season is a "new universe" as much as possible, with little to no references given to previous seasons We never got a single mention of previous Power Rangers from Bulk's return in Power Rangers Samurai (even though he was part of MMPR, Alien, Zeo, Turbo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, and hell, even Wild Force in a sense). The most he ever said was "I know about Power Rangers" or something to that effect. 4) Use as much footage from Sentai as possible The days of massive original shooting are over. There's some hope since New Zealand changed their prices to be more affordable with other countries, but all Saban sees is a way to do it the same and use the savings to pad his profits. We, as Power Rangers fans, need to accept the sad reality we live in now - copy/paste Sentai shows from a story standpoint with subpar acting, little to no references to the history of the franchise, and a heavily-pushed toy-centric ideology (new toys must be introduced every 2 to 3 episodes). I just made a bet with trekkieb47 about Dino Charge. My bet was this: - No actor for Kyoryu Cyan - No actor for Kyoryu Grey - Only female Kyoryu Violet, no male ever shown You save money by not having to hire more actors this way (literally cutting 3 paid positions out from the budget) and you don't have to shoot new footage. I should go work for Saban. |
Just as I would expect from Amit. Flawless Story
