Shouldn't Saba try to get their affairs in order before trying to become a megacorp? Let's be honest here; Power Rider and the musical girl thing went nowhere and PR isn't doing as well as before.

Why try to buy out a UK channel when your home affairs aren't so hot?

It's Saban Capital, the investment holding group. It owns Saban Brands, but is a lot more than that. This is a financial investment that has little to do with how Power Rangers is doing. I'd imagine it's similar to when Disney bought Fox Family. They expect the investment to pay off financially in the long run. It's the same methodology that explains the real estate portion of the company.

I think only someone from the UK can truly appreciate the hilarity of this business move.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Thessair. I still don't believe this'll work out for Saban, but ultimately it's their money.

Can't really tell if ZRV is laughing at me or Saban. Hopefully it's the later.

In the past 4 years I can't remember a single time I've turned on channel 5. Its 90% crap and 10% import shows.

And those import shows used be on the better channel like BBC and itv but now ended up on five

Talent is draining out of these channels in favour of Sky. When I think of investment groups buying TV channels I don't think of Saban Capital... Them and 5?

Saban himself wouldn't necessarily control the channel. Most likely, nothing would change... except of course the kids segment would almost certainly be the one to air power rangers.

Considering Five is where shows go to die, it seems fitting to air Power Rangers exclusively on there.

They aired power rangers megaforce before nicked did in the UK. But I can also see if they do get it they more most certainly make a kid channel to rival bbc and itv kids channels
