Just wanted to add, Official pictures of SHF Rose Attacker has been revealed, and if you're interested I posted some of them in the Toku-Related SHF Thread.

He actually does, this "グラス" means glass (Google Translate), it is included in the items section of the details of Bravo.

Which is a good thing, at least we get some cool parts/accessories instead of just a few pairs of hands etcetc... but Bandai still has a long way to go before all of us forgive them for making Bravo exclusive.

I think Gaim is popular enough for Bravo to sell well enough to warrant it a standard release, such a beautiful SHF as well.

Yeah I'm not going to lie, I hate them for making Bravo an exclusive. He's my second favorite rider of the show and having all of this exclusive BS to him is a bitch.

I have already preordered (and paid for) Bravo Lock Seed and Arm Change figure from CS Toys, so getting Figuarts is a no-brainer for me. :)

Knew it. Oh well, looks like he'll be worth the price. Though I'm gonna need to be careful with his spikes, and make sure that he's not in sunlight, or else his amazing paintjob will fade.

What seems to be the problem? Granted the spikes are sharper on the toy than the suit, but that's because the suits aren't made out of metal, they can't do the spikes that sharp.

The spikes aren't that long on the show, so why'd the Figuarts make them longer? It's not accurate, and isn't accuracy kind of the point?

The design is studded, not spiked. Also, what you said doesn't make sense. They can make the spikes that long because they did make the spikes that long on the show for the shoulders and chest and helmet. :lol As it stands, the AC is marginally more accurate.

If you look at the CG of the durian arms before it falls on Oren, the spikes are THAT spikey and long, but once it transformed into practical armor, it is reduced to studs

You're aguing semantics, man.

The suit is not that spikey. In order for the Figuart to be accurate, it should match the suit. It doesn't match the suit.

All you're doing is (unsuccessfully) trying to distract from the fact that the Figuart does not match the costume.

So I guess when they make Mango arms, you'll want the cape to be solid mango halves? Because the CGI of the mango armour doesn't have the cape in the shape of the cape. All the fruits mass-shift and change. What's important is the costume itself, because that's what the Figuart is representing.

EDIT: And the CGI actually ISN'T as spikey as the Figuart. :lol So every picture you've posted just shows how inaccurate the Figaurt is more and more.

I've been driving myself nuts trying to find a 1:12 scale sofa to match the one the figure was displayed with to no avail. But I went back to the episodes and skimmed through those, only finding two Bravo video messages to the public (in 7 and 13), in neither of which was he on that couch. Did I miss one somewhere? Or is the couch I've been freaking out over finding not even a screen accurate prop?

The couch isn't actually screen-accurate, I don't think.

He sat in a chair once, but Bravo's apartement doesn't have a couch if I recall. People just assumed he had used a couch because Bandai posed him with one.

Oh, the spikes on Bravo's suit are spikier than they look in the show...

I think he looks distractingly off, but if you like it that's totally cool.

But when the point of Figuarts is accuracy, to the point where they include a wine glass because it's something he did in the show, don't just wave away legitimate critisms with accuracy liek it's nothing.

The helmet is also wrong, BTW. The eyes are off and the "brow" is too pronounced. Considering the price of these, I'm not sure I want to pay $50 for "close enough."


I've got to say, I'm starting to take this whole "I say I don't like something, in NO WAY implying others can't, and get lynched and try to be disproven even though I've proven my point and then people just become flippant" personally. It makes me feel like the simple fact that I don't share the popular opinion offends people, and then when I deconstruct and show the flaws in what people faun over, they get upset and try to ignorantly right me off of "WE IT'S ALL OPINION ANYWAY." Because, y'know, that's exactly what I was doing.

Honestly it's not the opinion. I mean getting angry at someone's opinion is stupid. Everyone's is different and that should be accepted, not berated.

I think it's more how you word it. For all I know this is the fault of interpreting tone through text, but your responses to peoples' counter-arguments tend to come off sounding condescending with a "Well you obviously have no clue what you're talking about" kind of feel. Like your desire for screen accuracy is totally cool cause you're not the only person who'd want that, but the way it reads sounds like you're being really anal about it.

Again, it's probably not how you intended it to come off as.

I deliberately peppered my posts with :lol smileys to try and show I wasn't, like, getting mad or anything stupid, because I know how easy it is to assume the worst, and I try really hard not to assume myself.

But when the post after rather noticably blows off my entire opinion, that's BS.

The problem here is I don't consider the figure looking more like a stylistic interpretation verses and actual attempt at replicating the show costume "anal." It's a collector-level line at collector-level price but not collector-level quality. To me this is no differnet than the roided up ranger figures MOA makes. Both are extreme interpretations rather than being faithful to the show appearence. I thought that's why SIC exists. I mean hell, Bandai remade Kabuto for the express purpose of making him totally accurate. They're whole new goal is absolute show-accuracy, hence the little creases in the suits like they're fabric.

Hey, it's cool that you don't like it, you saved some money, I get what Bandai is doing, so I'm perfectly fine with it :) I think Bandai is doing a really good representation of the character, and it's not off enough; especially with the new body, to warrant a renewal for probably quite some time, and if and when that happens, I'll be getting that too :)
