he is almost too hot for the role, thinking about the way the suit actor conducted himself as Gokai Silver, it's gonna be tough to picture him acting ever remotely close to that, unless they completely abandon those shots, and there were plenty

Well he's,tall, and I just don't think I can see him as Silver unless he like shrinks when he goes to Ranger mode.

So is he from KO-35 or...? I mean he doesn't look much like an alien to me, unless he's of a race of aliens who are 'just a bit taller than humans with hair much lanker'. Fantastic!

Curious indeed. Everything about this Silver Ranger is vague as all get out. One can only wonder if he can actually ACT worth a flip! Maybe if they do get even one character who was actually well thought out, has a decent backstory, decent dialogue/one-liners, translates well or is made to appear like he translates well with Gai/GokaiSilver, and can actually perform in the manner everyone has been desperately wanting for so long, then perhaps there is a marginal hope for this series yet.

Theories on how this should have worked out: He is an alien. Ryan, the Titanium Ranger still has his powers (if we can't get a Ranger Key of him, then we can at least get an in-show appearance of the costume that suggests that no Ranger Key is neccessary), and gives Orion his powers.

Reasoning: GokaiSilver has a sea theme and Ryan, a Ranger who had powers which originated from a team which was based beneath the sea, could have a rebuilt Max SolarZord.

Wishful thinking, I know...

First thing I thought when I saw this pic was, why the flip does Emma walk like that. I mean one leg fully crossing over in front of the other. What the heck! Your gunna trip like that.

Hopefully he's not as kill-yourself-annoying as Gokai Silver.

I doubt it, to be annoying would mean that they got an emotional response from you, and so far the talent of the Megaforce Rangers has been so non existent they can't even get any response out of you at all other than 'wow these guys are bland!'.

Well that's gotta count for something.

God Gokai Silver was just horrible.

I'm more baffled that they decided to make him an alien, like not only is that a weird choice anyway, it's especially weird for a show with no plot for twenty five episodes.

It seems to be a reversal of the situation in Gokaiger, with the main team being humans and the special ranger being the alien, instead of the other way around in the Sentai.

I doubt the reversal "reference" was intentionally done, but still.

OK, I get that Saban's riding his MMPR money train for all it's worth but after seeing these pictures.....

Holy Crap in a hat, the difference between how the two teams dress! How on Earth did we go from "Killer Anti-Hero Space Pirates!" to "90210 for Kids"?

I think what Sentai Tamashi means is…depending on Silver's personality watching him act out of context from the Gokaiger footage is gonna be pretty painful.

He won't be. Gai was annoying because he was eccentric, excitable, loud and geeky, so he had a personality. That means he's outside of the calibre of anything Power Rangers has been able to churn out in a long time. I fully expect him to just be as dead boring as all the other Megaforce Rangers and to have excited and exaggerated movements in-suit while the voice overs are just the same bland generic chit-chat its been throughout the show.

I'd take an annoying yet eventually lovable character like Gai over any of the Megaforce rangers any day.

I try and ignore in-suit height discrepancies. Even Sentai gets it wrong.
