The ADR sucks :(

Gokai Silver is awful. He's just pure obnoxious "hey guys look I'm a goofball!" tripe.

Exactly what I was thinking. Gai/Gokai Silver is one of my favorite Super Sentai ranger.

i think orion has personality of Dominic from JF and Antonino from samurai. i guess you can say he's very energetic like gai was from gokaiger.

it makes sense not because he has to be gai, but you have to have a happy/energetic type of character to bland out the rest of cast since they are just fighting and one thats more happy and energetic.

even though zhane was alien, he was still obnoxious like his counterpart megasilver forget his character name, it wouldnt surprise me if orion is like gai since he's from another planet and excited to fight and know what the planet is like and plus meeting his favorite power ranger elements.

Not in this context. The term ADR, in this instance, predates digital recording. In film terms it's Automated Dialogue Replacement, though it can mean Additional Dialogue Recording as well.

Honestly? You guys are already calling him terrible?

All we've seen is a character, jumping in, taking charge and doing it pretty damn confidently. ADR aside, if any of that translates in the rest of his performance it'll be just fine.

Let's not be instantly pessimistic, hmm, even though the show so far has done little to win us over.

Im just terrified they're going to play his character up really straight laced and serious when the footage of Gai in the costume clearly wont match that. The body language will be all over the place.

Usually I agree with you Split, but I just can't in this case. I know what you're saying to a degree. But Gai's character represents two things, the equivalent of Kamen Rider Decade that crosses several generation gaps to encompass Sentai, and the type of character that many dream of becoming, a Super Sentai that can fight with powers.

Okay, starting to see your point. But I do like Gai's character, even if he's more comic relief than anything.

This version though.....I'm sure the actor is just fine, but that script. That script is just Trollsei.
