Favorite Sentai Mecha?
 

I've always been a fan of giant robots, so i'm personally drawn to Super Sentai for the mecha action. So what is everybody's favorite mecha design in the series?

Three way tie with Gaoking, Daibouken, and Galaxy Mega.

Shinken-Oh, Gosei Great and Gokaioh.

I'd have to say that top five are (in no real order):

Gao Hunter
Magi King
Victory Robo
Goraijin
Kiba DaiOh

Favorite sixth ranger mecha would be Gojyujin, Daikaioh and Gaohunter.

Since I was a kid, I've always really enjoyed all of the designs in Dairanger, Ohranger, and Megaranger. I always really wanted the Power Rangers version of Ohblocker. I also really like Dragon Ceasar because it's so much like Godzilla.

Of course, there aren't too many i've seen that I really -dislike-. Can't say I like the ones in Go-onger. Too much going on

Muteki Shogun. Then Ohranger Robo and Magiking closely behind.

The answer to that question is simple. Toq-Oh is obviously the greatest mecha design ever conceived in the history of giant robots. None can compare.

I don't know if I like Toq-Oh.

Generally not a huge fan of mecha so my standards are extremely low, as long as it isn't a horrible flappy mess or completely lacking anything that makes it even look like a giant robot in the first place then it's pretty much fine with me.

Notable mentions to Gosei Great, Dragon Star-Lord, Daibouken, Go-Buster Ace and GoZyuJin. And a nod to Daizyujin as it all began there for me.

Magiking and Gokaioh.

Daizyujin, Dairenoh, TimeRobo, Shinkenoh and GekiTouja deserve mentions too. I also have a soft spot for Jet Icarus because he's my holy grail, but he looks pretty awful, honestly.

Wonder Gosei Great.

When I sat down to list my favourites I was overwhelmed by how many I like. I mean it's not a "lot" by the length of the franchise and quantity of designs but I'm someone who can firmly say they HATE sentai mech action, so it's a lot in proportionate to me.

It's like I didn't even mention the Jungle Fury/Geki mecha as I liked pretty much every single thing about it in that show, other than the cockpits. Which is very true of Kyoryuger as well, minus Gigant who SUCKED. To an extent SPD had great Megazords all the way through as well.

I guess what I learnt is the designs aren't really the problem with the mecha, for me, it's just the execution.

Well Dieren-Oh( The big Dairanger Megazord.) I also really liked Ryusie-Oh's Megazord form, since I like it when individual mechs do that.

Gaoking,Daibouken,and ToQ-Oh.The first because it's from my favorite series and it's such a clean look.The toy version also had some articulation that is rarely seen.

As far as Daibouken and ToQ-Oh,I like them mostly for the fact that I dig "realistic" transformations.Yeah,ToQ-Oh does take some liberties (I.e slamming it's fists down to stand up),but the general combination works in a way that you believe it could actually happen one day.

As someone who really only cares about the mecha over the actual series: Magiking.

Very unique transformation, wings built in to the design, even its sword is a combiner, dragon mode, and just a beautiful paint job (doesn't hurt that I own the Complete Edition). It manages to override my love of cluster final combinations like EngineOh G12 that utilize all the mecha of the series. Also being away from Power Rangers since Turbo, seeing Magiking is what got me into collecting DX mecha (for better or worse).
I also think it's pretty awesome that the individual "mecha" are actually gigantic magical avatars as opposed to piloted or sentient vehicles.

I'm a huge fan of Wolkaiser, as well.

Great Go-Buster.

The three dino mechs: Daizyujin, Abaren-oh, and Kyoryuzin. I also liked Gokai-oh, Gojyujin, Go buster ace, Gosei Great, GekiTouja, Dairenoh, GaoKing, and Killer-Oh.

Believe it or not, it's currently ToQOh! Love that design to bits.

Also a fan of GokaiOh, GekiTouja, Magiking, Galaxy Mega, RyuseiOh and Muteki Shogun.

Gokai-Oh I love them shoulder pads. I also really like Abarenoh.

I think the problem with Gokai-Oh is that the various forms are so hit and miss. Like for example the DekaForm looks much lamer than the MagiForm but the MagiForm is so damn boring I find it hard to appreciate the design for what it is.

Well, I just mean Gokai-Oh on it's own, not counting upgrades. My favorite upgrade would probably be MagiGokai-Oh, honestly. :lol

I'm doing my best to narrow down my favourites because I like a lot of them! So it's something like, Grand Liner, Galaxy Mega, Ryuuseioh and Go-Buster Ace. Oh and Dragon Caesar. Who doesn't like Dragon Caesar?

I think Zyuranger, Dairanger and Megaranger have the best Mecha over all.

Petragordon has to be mine...

Gokaioh and the Gokaiger line in general have the advantage of having the single most inspired gimmick of a mecha line ever. Like it or hate it, it's more original then any other and it's really well implemented on all the toys. There's only so many straight combiners, limb swappers, lights and sounds or motorised spinners you can take. Gokaioh is the first time they really thought out of the box, IMO.

My favorite ones:great five and ohranger robo.

GaoHunter. It has a drill staff (and drill swords are cool), a violet hammerhead arm, and an alligator Wave Motion Gun built into it's chest. The only way I can think of making it better is by switching out the wolf arm. Possibly with the Go Go Drill. (Special shout out goes to the Galaxy Mega and Kyoretsu-Oh)

ANYTHING FROM KYORYUGER that is all :lol :lolol.

My all time favorite is probably Magi King. The transformation is really involved. The Magi Dragon form looks really cool, the individual Mecha alls look really cool and Magi King itself looks unbelievably majestic.

Close runner ups are Shinken Oh, Jet Icarus, Gokai Oh, Go-Buster Ace Timeranger Robo Alpha.
