Kamen Rider Gaim Episode 25 "Gridon and Bravo's Strongest Tag Team" Discussion/Poll
Bravo's been training Hideyusa, Kaito returns from Helheim, Ryouma's plans are forming shape, so much happening at once! Vote, Discuss, Lock On! |
I hope the subs make more sense. It felt like a net movie then an episode of gaim.
|
I have no idea what happened in this episode, but I felt for poor Hideyasu. I thought I detected some jealousy. Darn if that Iyo doesn't always seem to pop up with new and interesting scenes. :D
It was an amusing episode, but the comedy seemed to be a bit overplayed. That could very well be due to the amount of heavy drama we've had the last few episodes (with the exception of the ToQger crossover, obviously). I almost felt a little sorry for Oren there during the piggyback ride, too. I hope we actually find out what happened to him in the crack (that sounds so awful). It doesn't look like it based on the preview, but I have hope! This episode was bit weird, tonally. I'm not entirely sure if I enjoyed it or not, despite some amusing moments. Maybe the subs will help. |
Maybe an episode of just full-on comedy is what this show needs. Maybe last week's bellyflop was because the dour, omgsrs tone was being stretched too far?

I remember hearing this was Oren's last episode for a while so no idea if or when he'll be seen again.

Whoever needs to watch it but missed the stream, here's the raw!

Motherfucking religious parallels. I'm willing to wait until the subs to pass judgement on that one, but I do not have faith.

Don't feel like sitting through the raw, so what was it? *sigh* |

Because I'm still waiting on the Apple Lockseed. |

I had been afraid of how they'd handle it since the beginning but I find myself pleased, so far. It might mess up later, but right now I'm liking the direction they're taking. |
Great episode
|
That's more like it. You really had me worried there, Gaim. The stuff that moved the plot was great, and the stuff with Gridon and Bravo was silly and funny as it should have been. A decent serving of both levity and plot developement, unlike last week which moved the plot very little but had nothing substancial to fill the void.

DJ Sagara... WHAT ARE YOU?!
So where in Assassins Creed the Fruits of Legend are Pieces of Eden, in Gaim they are Helheim's Fruit. Intriguing... |
I can not handle the amount of hilarity in this episode :lol
|
I just loved this and can't wait to see more apples, and maybe the movie is in canon? Overall I liked seeing more Gridon, we need to see the Butchers favorite character more.
|
I'll take betting money that Oren gets the Fruit of Destiny and loses it due to not being as gorgeous as the Overlords unsuited.
Also, another episode of Kouta being wishy washy, Kaito being a general d-bag. I'm gonna need them to write Kouta actually growing a pair, and I don't mean cherries. Either you're there to make the Overlords listen or not dude. DJ Sagara is so off the charts, he makes the rest of the characters look like fools, I love it, he's the version of Kaito that Kaito dreams of becoming. The one that's so powerful, he can choose how he wants to level the playing field beneath him. My only slight concern is that they're gonna monkey up the last 25 episodes with a bunch of Mai fluff. But it's slight. We seem to be in a pattern of darkness and levity that's just right. |

Do people actually know what "wishy-washy" means or just say it becaus ethey think it makes them look smart? He's not ambiguious on anything, he's going to get their help, he just doesn't know how or where to find them. He was in Helheim looking for them. |
I think my favorite part of this episode was the interactions between Junouichi and Oren. Not even the big silly stuff, just them talking.
It's really a side of Oren we've never seen before, him caring about another human being. |
Love the character development for Jounouchi and Oren. They feel like they have the typical son and father/grandfather relationship that I've seen in most JDramas where the father/grandfather is always scolding/criticizing the son for not living like a proper man. Except instead of never complementing the 'son' when he does something right because he can't 'show emotions' Oren actually gives Jounouch encouragement and it's clear that he cares about his pupil.
Also I'm glad that we now know Kaito has a specif reason for his current search for power, he needs to be stronger than the overlords so he can make his demands to these beings who can control Helheim. What he want's to demand is still unclear and he could still give up on earth but it's nice to know he has some end goal in mind instead of only mindlessly going after power(which he also does XP ) |
Am I the only who thinks that the crack closed right as Oren jumped into it, and that the zipper got stick in him? :lol
|
I'm not gonna lie, my first thought was he got zipped in half.
|
Poor Junoichi indeed :lol
This wasn't a ground breaking episode or anything, but a nice fun "Fillery" episode like this is just what Gaim needed before it picked up pace again. And seeing Oren actually care about someone is a nice change of pace from his usual plot points. |
Lots of good comedy but still managing to push the plot forward. I suspect we'll see much more involvement from Bravo now that he's investigating the cracks. More crazy Ryouma is also always welcomed.
|
A nice little filler-y episode.
It was nice to see Jounouchi henshin for the first time since you-know-what happened ages ago, even if it wasn't anything particularly breathtaking. And Oren's one of my favorite Riders so I was glad to see him again. So this basically confirms the Apple lockseed then? And good that they didn't go with a Garden of Eden plotline, and instead presented the fruit as a common thread throughout history and mythology. And it looks like from the previews, Micchy is just falling deeper to the dark side. Quite excited for the next episode. |
This is exactly what the show needed.
An episode that is mostly comedic (when was the last time we had a good laugh on this show?) but still manages to advance the plot from the villains standpoint (Yggdrassil). And what looks to be an interesting twist is that Oren is now investigating the truth behind the Inves, meaning he may end up joining the side of good in the end. But what will he find in Helheim? AND NEXT EPISODE! Energy Baron! Mai learns the truth about Yuuya! Micchy finally reveals himself at Kouta (well, sorta). Can't wait. |
I enjoyed this episode like Kickback said it's a nice break from all the drama that's currently going on.. plus "NEVER GIVE UP" is stuck in my head now :lol
|
Oren must have been drunk though to think somebody could jump off the top of playground equipment with a giant ass weight against their back :lol

Well they link together a lot of historic shit, so yeah, there's my reasoning :lol Would you have preferred a Davinci Code reference?

A good episode with good comedy, but not without plot development.
We rarely see the girl working at the fruit bar acting, but when she does something it's hilarious. I hope she'll get a scene with wagon in the next Gaim vs ToQger movie. |

So I really disagree that he's not brave. A courageous person is not one who falsely puts up a pretense of courage acting tough when all his senses tell him otherwise, but one who continues trying even when every instinct tells him or her to give up. That's exactly what Kouta is. |
