The mysterious silver ranger has arrived! But just who is Orion, where does he come from and why does he have a ranger key? And most importantly, can the other rangers trust him!

Meanwhile, you can bet Prince Vekar isn't too happy about the arrival of a new ranger and has a new plan to take down the rangers!

Nor is Vekar too happy about others being taller than he is.

Silver Lining - Part 2: Orion's Backstory

Defiantly another great episode. Some of the things could of been explained better, but I did enjoy it more than Gokaiger, though without Vrak the villians are just sort of dead? It just felt they were missing something.

A super mega win episode.

Really liked the backstory stuff in today's episode.

So we still have no explanation for the Ranger Keys, the Sixth Ranger Keys just...appear, and the Q-Rex just shows up from the year 3000, without Eric or any of the other Time Force Rangers knowing about this.

Super Megaforce continues to suck for me.

All joking aside, I felt that this episode was a step up from...... previous.... epis... OK! THAT IS NOT WHAT THE Q-REX LOOKS LIKE!!!

So this episode started out with potential....then Sentai footage happened. I liked Orion's character and having a reason to fight. Rangers really never have a reason other than save the world even though revenge is lazy in something like PR it's intrusting. Also the stuff with him and the girls felt like true teen bullshit. But man as soon as they switched to sentai footage the show got less interesting and felt like the last handful of episodes. Also from the looks of what they're establishing only Orion can do 6th ranger morphs so there goes some fight potential. plus they really should have called gojyujin Q-Rex 2.0 instead of the Q-rex zord because it's gonna get confusing. Overall Okay episode not bad but not great either. Finally add 2 to that "there a simple explanation for that" Noah question why Orion's morpher is different and why he need the Dino Thunder, Mighty Morphin, and Time Force key to operate Q-Rex 2.0.

So far us non-Americans, what was his backstory? Was it explained what the sixth keys are/where they come from and why he uses the MMPR and DT Keys to transform him?

Oh. Did they explain why the Q-Rex is back/why Orion has it? Where did the Silver Key come from?

I think Robo Knight is the main reason. (Though I've seen a screenshot with him beside the other sixths?)

Also, did anyone notice how they classified Dino Thunder White as a "sixth" ranger? *grabs some popcorn, sits back, and awaits the oncoming War between DT White as Fifth Ranger and DT White as Sixth Ranger*

I have given up trying to argue with you. If you want to convince yourself tht you are a "true" ranger fan, so be it. Just don't try to make the rest of us feel bad for pointing out the faults with the show.

This is entirely unnecessary. If you start abusing the report post function the only person who'll be causing trouble at that point is you. So please, just chill out.

That already happened during Gokaiger and there were people wondering why Gekichopper(JF Rhino) didn't count.

So what would Gai transform into when they did an all Gekiranger morph with the six Gokaigers?

Why not just ban prfctcellrulz then? Since he/she is the one who causes the problems in these threads week after week.

He would transform into someone else. Ahim/Gokai Pink used the GekiChopper Key.

They never did a all Gekiranger morph with Gai. Dunno why Abaranger got the special treatment though, maybe because AbareKiller died along with his other counter parts, or he is really that different compare to the Abarangers I dunno.

Here is all the 6th keys that he uses, Only Abarekiller is on there with no Gekiranger

Yes but they are no Rangers. They fall in the same category as Zuban and Signalman would.

In another episode Ahim gokai changes into the Chamelon chick, and Don gokai changes into the Black Lion. So yea still no Gai :lol

Well, this was typical in about all of the regards one can expect. Yes, I will admit that Orion's back-story was interesting to begin with. The demise of his village was one of the shows most literal representations of death without actually mentioning death outright (which is to be expected given the target audience). However, his story started getting tedious and the whole "slingshot-a-ship-so-one-can-escape" concept is odd to say the least. Surely, the accompanying ships would have either destroyed the damaged one or at least removed the more compromising secrets from it. A conquered planet shouldn't account for a lackluster handling of one's equipment. The whole shopping tour sequence was cute, but largely unnecessary. The battle was typical, with the whole Q-Rex introduction being just a glorified toy ad. No explanation why the morpher was hidden among stone nor any explanation why MMPR, DT, and Time Force are necessary for his zord. Here are some things that would have made this better:

- Take Part 1 and make it a partway Lightspeed Rescue tribute. Show new footage of the fire monster Basco with the Ultimate Power being the Blue and Green Mega-Battle Armor.

- Have Titanium Ranger make a cameo. Just because we cannot get a Ranger Key doesn't mean he can still be relevant.

- Titanium Ranger is partially responsible for Orion's powers. GokaiSilver had an anchor design and Titanium was part of a team that was based underwater and even encountered King Neptune (and his trident). Just seems to add-up.

- Change the Lost Galaxy replacement of the Sixth Ranger change in Part 1 to another All-Red change using the same teams. Example: GokaiGreen became DragonRanger is changed to Jake becoming MMPR Red. That way, Orion can work behind the scenes and give Jake the dagger and shield and allow the footage to mesh-up better.

- Have Orion's back-story include new footage of the core Armada villains with some Gokaiger monsters we probably won't see running around.

- Have Orion secretly board the ship instead of using a slingshot.

- Change the Q-Rex to the Rescue Rex (Remember, Lightspeed Rescue).

I know this is just rambling, but one can dream, right? "Triple Drill Dream"!

Well, AbareKiller looks extremely different from the other Abarangers, so I guess that might be it

Pretty middle of the road. Not bad, just rushed, but that's to be expected. They do kinda take a while to finish a conversation....

I think they used up all of the show's ability to explain stuff on Orion's backstory :lol

Continuity isn't SMF's strong point. Notice how no one's even mentioned Robo Knight recently?
