Austin St John does brief audio Q&A - Answers 20th Anniversary Questions
Austin St John returns with another audio clip, this time answering some of your more burning questions!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au8qYjJ-WfQ |
I was just about to post this. Onore-Kickback :lol
|
He sounds so cool. And candid. He's not rude, but he's not shy about pointing out bullshit. (like Saban's offer)
He's humble, he's honest, and he genuinely seems interested in teh fans. |

Anyone wanna sum up this by text? on my phone and connection is kinda slow to load video
|
- Didn't do the 20th Anniversary episode because it equated out to about the price of a plane ticket back from New Zealand and pocket change. Too much pride and believes that he is worth more than that (not in a boastful, ego way, but a self-worth type of way)
- Open to return to the franchise but it has to be fair for him and for anyone else that comes back with him to the show (ie: no one paid more or less to return, all treated and paid fair and equally) - Convention in Canada planned but not ready to announce - Confirmed his role as a medic in the Middle East - Would love to go do a convention in a country that "isn't trying to shoot him" - Planning merchandise but wants fans to know that it's for them - he's not about trying to monetize who he is, feels fans know what he means when he says they get enough of that as it is, that he hates people who do everything and anything for money (basically, digs at JDF) - States he will not tolerate people being negative towards other Rangers on his page - Hates people that think they're the best at anything, that's not the way he was raised or what martial arts taught him (another dig at JDF) - Finishes with the classic "back to action" line |
He sounds like a decent guy with his head screwed on straight.

Thanks Kickback, look foward to hearing this later

That was awesome to hear, really seems down to earth, I think he was tryin his best not to call out someone, but he does seem like someone I really would like to meet someday
|
Here's hoping then stars align and he returns for Dino Charge in the Torin/Silver role.

Wow, my respect for him grows more every day.
|
He should be the most respected ranger ever instead of that egoist that shall not be mention on this thread!!

I really appreciate the fact that his was honest about everything. He didn't sugar coat anything but he wasn't overly negative either. He sounds like a dude we would all like to hang out with. |
I knew that my preference for Jason long time ago over Tommy was not unfounded. :lol (Not that I hated Tommy, was a fan of him too)
And the other countries prospect has me excited. If he comes to my city, I'm definitely lining up! |
I think have the march madness thing, have some like him come back is refreashing.

Great video

Actually the thing involving the money from ASJ was denying going to NZ for the 20th anniversary thing like the other rangers who go the shoddy deal & turned it down because they have respect for themselves plus honestly, would any of you guys go to NZ on an amount of money that could only fully afford one plane ticket & for the return to the US, you'd have to help pay for it? I wouldn't mind but with how crap the economy is in the US now, it's difficult plus plane tickets are f**king pricey these days, especially to the other side of the world :L.

The guy sounds really humble and respectful. Can't wait for the inevitable exposure of JDF by Austin St John at a convention or something. Keep going strong ASJ!
That New Zealand thing was really interesting. I wonder why some of the actors showed up despite the breaking even cost ASJ mentioned? I think that Kamen Rider and Super Sentai have an advantage with their crossovers due to how small their country is and the fact that they film there. I don't know how much the New Zealand transition saved Neo-Saban but I think for just this one anniversary season they should have filmed in L.A. or something. |
