On-Going Power Rangers Dino Charge Casting Thread

Now in the present day, an intergalactic bounty hunter starts sniffing around Earth looking for the Prisms in order to harness their power and annihilate the world, so a team of Power Rangers forms to find the Prisms first and fight the bounty hunter and other threats with dino-powered swords, blasters, Zords (in Power Rangers lingo, large fighting machines) and Megazords The official casting sides for Power Rangers Dino Charge are available. PRODUCER CALL BACKS This is considered the "final round" of casting. If you get a producer call back, you're most likely in the final stage of casting. Either they pick you or they don't. Red - The Side sounds alright. Sounds a little Daigo-ish, but that's good. I liked Daigo. Just not sure about the name. Lucas. Will his best friend be a Dolphin and a Dagger and will he pilot a Stinger? (And if you get those references you are old)
Pink - Shelby sounds excellent. (I love Emma) but it's nice that she seems far removed from Eco-Minded BMXer who doesn't BMX anymore. Green - I like it. They made him a farmboy whizzkid who likes swords. They had to make him like swords though given the source material. But the rest sounds excellent. And the nerd-ranger personality fits the suit acting for him perfect. Gray - Now that's a large departure from Tessai ain't it? But I'm hoping he's more like the Green Ranger from Lightspeed Rescue, I loved him. My memory kind of let me down remembering his name though, but it happens. Violet - I love they made her older than yayoi, around 18-21, but she'd need to be a short woman for the suit acting to match up. I mean with Gia and Moune it's a difference, Gia loses about two inches every time she morphs.. then gains them back when she goes Gokaiger. Which is odd. But unless they get the height right with her .. "Dude! Kiera's lost a foot!" I love the Side though. Very Yayoi but enough to be original, less shy which is good. Black - ... So that happened. Seriously with the skateboarding and hoodie look? Gold - The backstory is an english Utchy, which is fine. But why did they name him Ivan? That's Russian. I know, small details, but still. Blue - I'm not commenting until I see it on screen. |
Not familiar with Kyoruger, but is the whole time travely thing drawn from that? I mean a caveman and a knight? very odd i think

Hey guys. I've been helping cover casting, and have been posting updates, along with posting people who have auditioned on RangerCrew, Rangerboard, and Twitter. Just noticed you have a casting thread, and figured I'd provide who's auditioned so far here.
Keep in mind, specific color auditions haven't started yet. We're currently in the first round of casting. This is to test acting ability, and weed people out. My favorites - Darrel for Red Ranger, Augie for Gold Ranger, and Sally for Pink Ranger. Sally has some YouTube videos out, look them up, I think she'd be a perfect fit.

Really dont get the confusion about blacks character, he's a cool, badboy ladies man at heart, which is perfectly Ian. I doubt PR is going to randomly make a teenager a spy, so the badboy thing matches fine, chicks dig it.
Blue being a caveman is novel, but it adds to the character I think as Nossan is more the brawler and relies on strength. It may be a corny story, but the characters still kind of match up. You could still have him get into a subplot with the PR version of Candileira if she was tied to his original life. Lot of potential in this, far more character development potential than megaforce, which currently consists of Troy - He's handsome and possibly lobotomised Jake - He's goofy Noah - NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD Gia - Hot Emma - Hippy. |

I'd rather not get my hopes up for another Troy. |
We won't ever get to see the auditions unless they're released down the road on a DVD.
