I'm kinda on the same boat you're on with Kaito too. When he showed up he was a jerk and even though he became an even bigger jerk Ryugen somehow turned out to be more evil than Baron.

I am still in shock we're not at the late 30s or early 40s and we're getting near constant action and plot. But with all the self servers out there Kota should be glad he has Zack; although Kurumi Arms isn't really going to cut it with an Energy Arms.

I really don't see Zach lasting past the late 30s. He's far too nice, and more to the point, far outclassed at this stage of the game. Even Jounuichi could probably take him without too much trouble.

Brah, I don't mean to sound disrespectful or anything, but plain and simply put, you are wrong. Jounuichi is as of now the single weakest Rider on the show, sure he has a B-Class Lockseed, but he is a pathetic fighter, and so far his only moment of glory was being a glorified meatshield, seriously, Hase, despite having a C-Class Lockseed, was roughly equal to the other Armored Riders, not counting Bravo, and even put up a pretty good showing against Zangetsu, and Zack has shown himself to be a pretty good fighter too, and he has a C-Class Plus lockseed.

I'm pretty sure if he fought Jounuichi one on one, he'd win handily.

I didn't know the Lockseeds has their own class/rank besides the energy lock seeds. I kinda thought it was based alone on the character itself on how good they are.

Nah, it's pointed out as far as Episode 1 when Mai and Yuya visit Sid after Mai's Himawari Lockseed gets destroyed in an Inves game. Sid tries to sell them on a C+ or B-class Lock.

Even though the creators have said time and time again the flashforward in episode one is not concrete.

Kinda worded my posts wrong. what I meant to say is that... I thought it matters only on how skilled the Rider/character they are. Not the class/rank of the Lockseed it self, besides upgrading to a Energy Lock Seed.

Anyway, even with my original statement, I think that Joey's gonna bite it first or around the same time Zach does- they ALWAYS kill the comic relief first.

Because Urobochi probably has some dumb plot for Orren at the end of the show.

I expect he'll stop being funny when it really gets serious. He seems to have some degree of empathy for Jounuichi. I suspect you remove him from the equation... We're going to see exactly why Takatora was concerned about Oren "disrupting the balance" when he first got the belt.

Plus we haven't exactly seen him since he jumped into the crack at the end of 25. If his reaction was anything to go by, he's not going to be the same when we next see him.

Looking at his design and its similarities to Ryugen vs. Deemushu's to Baron, I think it's an interesting parallel in how he sits back and lets others do the fighting for him while gloats and lobs insults.

Watching the episode right now. Wow. That was quick.

Well seeing as I don't know much about Kiva I couldn't possibly be expected to know that.

That's really cool and something I probably totally wouldn't have caught at first.

This show's biggest downfall, easily, is how good it is. When it is good, it is damn good, to the point of being frustrating.

I REALLY want to see this subbed, and I REALLY can't wait for next week. Almost every episode bar a select few has felt meaningful and integral to the overall story in such a way that it genuinely feels incomplete when you finish a new episode and have to wait a week for what's next. I mean that's great, but it's also torment. :lol I'm so used to toku being, realistically at best, an amusing distraction with a story I can only appreciate over viewing of multiple episodes at a time. But Gaim just keeps on coming. The developments felt in 22 minutes outshine those in series where I marathon three to four episodes at a time. It's unreal.

Bravo is incredible. I now REALLY want his AC figure. Zangetsu's finally developing, Micchy got his shit wrecked and scurried away like a scared dog, and the Overlords continue to grow enigmatic and intriguing. Honestly, saving them until now was BRILLIANT. They were rouge elements just long enough to get the point, and now they're moving on and becoming more understood by the audience. Imagine if these guys showed up ten or more episodes ago, and how weird it would be if they just NOW were revealed to have a boss? These types of monster generals can easily feel misdirected when you take them from rouge elements operating for so long independantly, to underlings working under some kind of command.

My biggest complaint is that Jinba is still around. Motherfucker you have a literal TANK LOCKSEED. Why this bulky, half-hearted excuse for a power up keeps getting let out of the basement when Kachidoki is everything it should be and more, I don't understand. Aesthetically it's no contest. Most rider upgrades tend to go for over-the-top flare. Kachidoki manages amazing flare and yet a sense of utility, without resorting to typical profiles and proportions. Hell, with Kachidoki, Jinba literally serves no purpose. If it's meant to be weaker, why not just have Kouta default to the still-awesome-looking Orange? If it's meant to be a power up for tougher fights, why not use Kachidoki since it's effectively a "fuck you" button? Kachidoki is all-purpose, too, thanks to the coolness of the DJ gun. (though I wish they didn't HANG on it's use for so long during fights. It's really designed so that it's different firing modes can be achieved with the flick of a switch, yet it always takes over a second to switch modes, and eternity during a fight scene.) Hell, both narratively and from a toy-selling point of view, the mere existence of Jinba at this point is an oxymoron. It's an outdated power, and an outdated toy.

Hopefully when that gorgeous piece of rubber and foam that is "Triumphant" Arms returns, (such a cool name) the DJ gun is less flow-breaky, more face-breaky. Ugh, I hate when my favourite suits get shoved to the back-burner for a boring one. (the sonic arrow is SO boring)

You're wrong about one thing.Jinba is useful.It gives him abilities that Kachidoki does not.Without Jinba,he wouldn't have the super speed from Cherry and the heightened senses from Peach.That being said,I wonder when he'll use the Lemon version of Jinba and what it will give him.

But he didn't use Cherry OR Peach this episode, so your arguement is invalid. Also, Peach's ability really doesn't help in combat.

So no, it's not useful. Not when he always uses Lemon and nothing else except for rare and fleeting occasions. There's nothing Jinba did this episode that Kachidoki could not do better. Lemon has no powers. Why it's still being used defies all logic. Even though super speed ALWAYS has a use, Cherry has been seen about twice.

I can't imagine what ridiculous made up power they could give Melon Jinba.

I understand that Jinba doesn't have many powers useful for battle,and I agree that Kachidoki is more powerful by a long shot,but you said Jinba is useless.I just gave a reason why it wasn't. Lemon doesn't even have a power. Why he even holds onto the Lemon LS is a mystery. It offers nothing. It has no ability. If jinba is not useless, answer me this: why exactly did Gaim use Jinba lemon this episode? What did he gain from it?

Also, I don't like jinba at all. It's an ugly suit and looks ridiculous in fights. He looks like he's wearing six T-shirts over eachother. And his weapon is just another sonic arrow.

You're, rather emarrassingly, arguing semantics.

Jinba is useless, because it's few powers are quite clearly afterthoughts. They're esoteric abilities verses something apparent, that are not used to nearly the effect they should be. How does that armour imply speed? Or extra sensitive hearing? It's quite obvious jinba was made as a gimmick before it was made as anything practical or sensible. It's abilities had to be made up because nothing about the armour itself is a substanical update. Even the helmet is just a lazy repaint. Kachidoki is visibly more armoured, every other arms has a different weapon or look. Jinba has nothing.
