The good people at RangerCrew attending the ongoing Licensing International Expo have shown off the first official images of yesterdays' confirmed new season of Power Rangers!

Power Rangers Megaforce premieres early 2013 with 22 episodes including holiday specials.

Alright, yeah. That poster does look pretty awesome. I had never really looked at Goseiger but those suits are definitely growing on me.

Okay Saban, here's my challenge to you - if you really want to make this like Mighty Morphin, let's see Gosei Green as the sixth ranger :p

Not that I'm saying they should drop Gosei Knight, but he could easily fill an extra hero role if need be.

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! Looks awesome! Im actually surprised at myself about how excited aim considering how much i wanted to see Gokaiger brought over. Im sure it still will in some way at some point but till then I'm so ready to see how this show comes about. :D

....which concerns me. Only 22 episodes? Okay that might mean it'll go into Ultra Megaforce or whatever like Samurai became Super Samurai, but even then Samurai was marketed as being 40 episodes right off the bat.

Maybe this is where they'll tie in Gokaiger, after? Sort of like during the Zordon era?

I look forward to seeing what they'll do with this season. The poster looks great. The Goseiger footage is filled with immense potential and I hope they make full use of it.

Perhaps, but the idea of attempting to cram 3 story arcs into 22 episodes does not fill me with a lot of hope :lol

Look, we know now that it's Goseiger. Nothing we can do to change that.

Unless they're going for a 3 season run or something, and plan to switch during Season 2.

The low episode count is definitely strange, but hopefully isn't any cause for concern. It could just end up being a short season with a switch to a new team. Who knows?

I also don't think not being able to fit all 3 groups of enemies is a problem. It doesn't have to be a straight adaption. Many would argue it would be better otherwise.

I think Saban is starting only with 22 episodes but will probally expand to another twenty midway through the season. You have to remember this is al devolopment stuff. Nothing involving something like this is set in concrete untill it's done and over with. (Except that we're going to see Goseiger. :D That's happening.)

And you haters. Seriously? How about doing what Eric said and giving peace a chance. You don't know it's not going to be good, you just wanted Gokaiger so bad you're not willing to even accept the possibility it'll be good. Keep an open mind. Wait and see what happens instead of jumping the trigger so early.

I think it'll be good. And I'm very willing to wait and see what happens. Especailly what they'll call the different sets of headers, how they'll sell them, and what the American versions of Gosei Mechs will look like. And if they'll be able to combine with the Samurai stuff. Which I am very hopeful for.

Also very much looking forward to writing some Megaforce fanfics when the time comes.

I don't want a straight adaptation by any means, but arguably Mystic Force and Operation Overdrive struggled at having so many villains and such a short episode span. I don't want to see the same happen for Megaforce.

Hopefully this just refers to a first season, with more episodes to be announced later in time.

You know, I'd be really excited about this, but if they managed to squeeze Super Mega modes from Shinkenger, I just know they're going to have a field day with the Super Goseigers. Which is something of a shame, because I want a constant stream of merchandise with the regular suits.

How do you know they are craming them into 22 episodes? Maybe they are just going to use some of the villians and toss out the rest.

The second "season" of Megaforce has been trademarked as "Ultra Megaforce". Thus, another 22 episodes (2 being holiday specials, like the first 2 in the 22 of season 1 are).

I agree with whomever said they should change it from goseiknight to the green gosei angel. That would be cool.

I understand that. I just pointed out that Samurai, despite its split seasons, was announced from the beginning as a 40 episode series. While its more than likely that's the case with this too, its strange that they initially revealed it as being 22 episodes.

Whatever happens, Ultra Megaforce is a terrible name.

This sort of has me wondering about BOA's Ground Gosei Great as well. If they want to stick to the same jointing system as the did with MMPR 2010 and Samurai, then will the just make Gosei Ground incompatible with whatever motorcycle leg zord things come out? Because if they do decide to switch the ports around, then they'll have to get creative with the placement of Gosei Shark and Gosei Phoenix on Ground Gosei Great.

I didn't care all that much for Goseiger so I was hoping they would have skipped it altogether and went with Gokaiger. Especially since it's the 20th anniversary. Unless they are planning on doing something separate and special for the anniversary. Despite my feelings for Goseiger I'll still watch Megaforce. No sense in condemning it before at least giving it a try.

It would be a nice call back to MMPR & Goseiger if this took place in Angel Grove.

I think personally the name is weak. Now if they had it like Kaiju Force than that would be cool. But its whatever.

Goseiger's ten last episodes were fantastic. the show just started out really bad. I'm looking forward to megaforce. It can't do worse than the first 40ish episodes of goseiger. I just hope its better than super samurai. Ugh that show has left a nasty taste in my mouth.
