Sadly enough, I don't have mine yet. I'm still in the stage of begging my mom to order the damn thing already. I even e-mailed the site to her e-mail address so she'd do it.

The tail, diecast and MOLDED details in lieu of flat surface/stickers won me over, I was going to pass but I might just buy this.

Wow. Is that due to the transformation, or a true feature?

a little bit of both. The arms pull out due to trans formation and while you have it out like that you can swivel them up and down.

My opinion is still that the Legacy Dragonzord looks great on its own, but sucks in any combo. I'm on the fence if it was worth $80, but just feeling the weight of it makes me mostly okay with it. The beautiful paint apps & molded details also help.

The visible face in his mouth bugs me to no end. The box outright LIES about it. And they bother to make the red eyes disappear when the face is visible, but then why not just have the whole face flip up and down like the original figure?!

Also, anyone know a way to give the Legacy Dragonzord ZordBuilder arms without the 2010 Mastodon? The legs are pretty straight-forward.

ok...is it me, or if you add a cape this is essentially Vega form for the Dragonzord?

So as cool as the Legacy Dragonzord looks after having him for half a day I have to say I kind of still like my vintage Dragonzord better. Why?

When you combine it with the Megazord parts, the way the Legacy Dragonzord is supposed to connect with the Saber-toothed Tiger and Triceratops doesn't seem to like to stay installed. The die cast in his feet tend to pull the legs downward when you pick it up.

The feet also seem to sit too far out from the zords compared to the original as well, which makes them look odd as they kind of 'float' out ahead of the rest of the legs like deformed knees.

Also, the staff with the Dragonzord tail being so insanely HUGE makes it almost impossible for it stand on its own. The tail is just way too big. Which also prevents you really from doing the combined mode with Dragonzord's body on top of the Megazord accurately.

Basically it feels like the Dragonzord was more or less designed to be just in its regular form mainly and the combined with the Megazord modes as kind of the afterthought.

This is exactly what I've been saying for months. While everyone else gushed over it and overlooked it's apparent flaws.

I just like the standard mode and the poncho mode.

Hmm, the more I see it the more "eh" I get about it. I love Dragon Caesar's design but for an $80 toy aimed at adult collectors I feel they could've done much better. The combination modes are pretty awful. To put it in context, $80 is how much Hasbro sell their imports of the Masterpiece Transformers and there's a big difference in getting your money's worth with them. Either then the Diecast, this guy's not really notably superior to an average BOJ mecha which retails at about $40.

I'm not going to cancel my order because I do want Dragon Caesar and the Legacy Dragonzord is still a hell of a lot cheaper then an original.

What? People have been going on about it's problems since we've seen the combined modes.

I have no problem with the way he looks combined on top of Daizyujin. However, the drill is just way too big (they should have given him a smaller one just for the combined forms) and the partial combo form looks okay. However, the appeal is getting Dragon Ceasar on his own since it is very unlikely to ever have a SRC version.

Just finished watching Baltmatrix's review and seeing how this thing combines. For the "wearing the dead body of the Dragonzord" mode, holy crap they weren't even trying. Those shoulder clips are awful compared to the original. The Tyrannosaurus tail has nowhere to go. And the feet are so heavy that if you have a Legacy Dragonzord with looser knee joints, they'll just keep falling down if jostled wrongly.

Battle mode is better, but as people said before the proportions are off (tiny head, short arms, huge drill). Again the weight of the legs becomes a hindrance on the poor Sabertooth Tiger & Triceratops.

And now I'm just repeating things that people already know or can see for themselves.

tl;dr - I'm keeping the Legacy Dragonzord because it looks beautiful on its own. I'm sticking with my classic Ultrazord for its size and playability. And I guess the best news? Guess that means I'll be putting my MISB Legacy Megazord on the market.

I don't know wether or not I should want this thing anymore. :(

I frankly don't anymore, but its been long paid for and will be coming to me so I guess I kind of have to take it.

Frankly without a Dragonzord to properly compliment the Legacy Megazord I don't feel a need to own the Megazord though. What's the point? These were supposed to be nice alternatives to vintage DaiZyuJin & Dragon Caesar or their American counterparts. But the Dragonzord defeats the purpose by being so flawed. I think I'd rather get rid of both and focus my energies and money on getting the real toys down the road.

Umm... the t-rex tail plugs into the Dragonzord in conbined mode. My only issue was while the di-cast is awesome, it's too heavy for the leg joints. I was pretty satisfied actually.

Damn, you people complain about Zordbuilder in the Legacy Dragonzord too fuckin' much.

Sorry that we prefer non-flawed, not overpriced, accurate, and quality products? You don't have to agree, but you don't have to be so rude about it either.

Well, I watched ShukuenShinobi's review, and he brought up the point that a lot of Sentai Robos cost more, and you guys can't deny that in terms of accuracy in dragon mode it's leagues better than the original (i.e. no stupid lightning bolts).

Honestly, any flaws with the combined mode I can forgive, due to the fact that back in 2010 I'm pretty sure BoA had no plans to make a Dragonzord, so those of you saying it was an afterthought...you're probably right because of what I just mentioned. I think it looks good all things considered...granted for $80 some LEDs would have been nice, or maybe another, smaller drill piece for the weapon (Although the size doesn't bother me too much, and I can live without the electronics).

I just thought I'd jump in here and give my 2 cents.

So...What are you looking for? The original Dragon Caesar is flawed, overpriced, not as accurate, and hasn't aged well...I don't understand why you're so vocal against this iteration.

Oh I definitely agree. There is no indication that there were ever any plans outside of the 2010 Megazord. And unfortunately rather than creating a nice new figure for the Legacy line the 2010 Megazord was simply reused with diecast. Which worked fine, until now.

But because of this whole zord builder thing that means anything designed to go with it later is handicapped by that feature. Hence the Legacy Dragonzord being what it is. If BOA had just made a nice new Megazord originally instead then we'd have a more appropriate Dragonzord now as a companion piece. It's primarily the zord builder system inclusion that makes the Legacy Dragon less than what it should be.
For what this thing is supposed to be, based on the standards of today, I feel like the issues it has are kind of an eyesore. I'm vocal here because this thing retails for $80. It's a high priced exclusive that's being scalped to hell and back and despite some pretty detrimental design flaws that make what it sells for just at normal retail, seem like way too much. People are unfortunately paying way too much for this thing. I admit it's a cool toy, but it's just not the Dragonzord/Caesar we should have gotten. The weight/overuse of diecast, tail, head fin, face in mouth, zord builder ports, issues etc make me not want this thing.

I can understand. I just feel like the major flaws (Like the excess diecast) are being swept aside for minor nitpicks that aren't as detrimental (Like the tail being too long for the spear).

And if you don't want it, can I have it? I really want one, but I can't get my hands on one before June 30th or for it's asking price...

Currently I'm waiting for the one I ordered through my job to arrive. I manage a comic shop so mines coming via Diamond Comics. However Diamond has yet to fulfill retailer orders for DX Gosei Great or the Legacy Dragonzord. They were both supposed to ship 3 weeks ago and aren't even scheduled to ship next week. However I'm more than happy to contact you when it does show up.

Eh, the Zord Builder ports don't bother me too much, but I do agree that an all new Megazord with a different Dragonzord would've been really sweet.

I wasn't complaining about the Zordbuilder stuff. I didn't even notice it had that in it.

I was complaining about the way too big of a tail for either combo with the Megazord and the overuse of diecast in the Dragonzord's feet making it so combining it with the Legacy Megazord not really work well...and also the fact that combining it with the Legacy Megazord in either mode just doesn't look right.

Again, if I was to simply keep the Dragonzord in its normal mode, it'd be great. It looks the most accurate to the show compared to the vintage Dragonzord, but the fact that one of its gimmicks is to combine with the Megazord and it comes off so bad you don't want to do it... That's a flaw that really should have been better addressed during the initial states of its development at Bandai.

Loosing the diecast might have helped a little as it was unnecessary even on the Legacy Megazord. Heck, you could have re-released the 2010 Megazord as it was with just more show accurate stickers or sculpted the details on like the Dragonzord. I honestly have to say that diecast only really looks cool when used sparingly on toys, like Masterpiece Transformers kind of have been doing.

And I'm sure people reading will think I'm just complaining because I like to or something, or I'm the type of person never satisfied with anything and should be grateful we got this, but I really did want an updated Dragonzord and was excited for this when revealed. The Legacy Morphers and Dragon Dagger were pretty great and made me want to see more Legacy weapons like the Blasters or Saba even.

However in the end, this new Dragonzord is just 'okay' when it should have been 'awesome'. For the cost and its glaring flaws, I can't really recommend it unless you are a hardcore fan of the Dragonzord and don't care about combining it with the Megazord that much.

Reprolabels already took care of that. They released a sticker set for Legacy Megazord that looks even more better and show-accurate than the base sticker set that's already packaged with the Megazord.

And personally, even though I have the 2010 Megazord, I'd like to get a set of those stickers for it.

It feels like they did t think this through while designing it. Really silly design mistakes and omissions make anything but the base mode just not stable or fun

I love this toy at it's $60 price TRU.com had him on. I don't see myself paying $80 for it at all.
