So...who is the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger? (a lol post)
 

So.

You have Austin St. John back in the fandom and doing convention tours now. He bills himself as the original Mighty Morphin Red Ranger and the Gold Ranger.

But!

You also have Steven Cardenas doing convention tours, billing himself as the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger (which he did play for a season and a half plus a theatrical movie). He doesn't seem to bill himself very much as the Blue Zeo Ranger (I've seen pics where he has the helmet, but his banners are all MMPR Red).

So ... uh ... who in your eyes is the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger? Poll will be anonymous for the sake of people not getting in to fights (this seems to happen more now than it ever did before).

Austin St. John is of course the original Red Ranger. I haven't met him yet but I know he's a great dude. I actually have met Steve Cardenas though and he really is awesome. It's a tough choice for me, I'd kind of be stuck right in the middle.

I've grown to love Rocky. But, to me, it's Austin. He was the first, he was the best, and no one will ever be like him.

I also laughed at the JDF option.

To me there is only one red ranger... and that's this man. :p

Is it weird i prefer Austin as the gold ranger, he got his own theme song that way and im a sucker for a good theme song

He actually had a character arc as the Gold Ranger. :p

Is it ... Austin St. John, who played him for the final 20 episodes?
Is it ... the DeFillapo (SPELLING?!?!) triplets, who played the body of Trey?
Is it ... Brad Hawkins, who did the voice over work for Trey and when Trey was the Gold Ranger?

ASJ is and always will be THE Red Ranger to me. I felt Rocky didn't really do much as a character until he donned the blue suit.

Both Steve and Austin are the Red Ranger to me, but Austin more so because he originated that role.

I also prefer him over Trey for Zeo Gold, too.

Always been Geki, though for PR-same, ASJ. Rocky irritated me. Steve Cardenas is probably a cool dude IRL, but his character portrayal always seemed, meh.

ASJ. All I remember of Rocky is that pachico or however you spell it game episode. That and once Rocky started, Tommy became leader. Red is pretty much supposed to be leader to me. So it has to be Austin.

I actually remember nothing about the MMPR cast swap.

Honestly, this is a question that comes up not just for the MMPR Red Ranger, but MMPR Red, Black, and Yellow Rangers often.

Jason stands out more to me as Red Ranger than Rocky as he actually did have a lot of story arcs devoted to his character and his rivalry with Goldar. When I think of Rocky, I really don't recall anything that stands out story wise.

Trini is pretty much the same to me compared to Aisha. Better standing out than Aisha.

The Zack vs. Adam bit for the Black Ranger though is a bit harder as both were actually interesting characters in their own rights.

Austin St John for me due to the fact is that i remeber him more as my fave ranger over tommy. and Adam all ways been my fave black ranger
