Sooo they've switched gears to go back to Goseiger specific footage from the Dark Gosei Knight episodes? Smack in the middle of the already choppy Gokaiger footage they've been using? Awesome edits Saban.

'Back in Vrak' would be an awesome heavy metal song.

And seriously Saban? THIS is why editing is taking forever. They really need a 'blend all the things' button in Adobe Premiere.

What the hell is Super Megaforce?

Pretty much, but we saw this coming for months now. The Megaforce, and Super Megaforce I think, openings both had Brajira No Bureduran in the opening titles.

Atleast they didn't go for their second choice. Jason David Frank Saves the Universe, with help from.. these people.. whoever they are.

I called the part about Vrak returning after Vekar gets killed. I didn't call the part about Robo Knight returning under his command, that was unexpected.

Only question is: Will Vrak have already upgraded himself to his final “Brajira of the Messiah” form by the time he reappears, or will he still be Cyborg Vrak and upgrade himself on-camera?

It's literally what happened in Tensou Sentai Goseiger. Gosei Knight (Robo Knight) turns out to be Brajia's (Vrak's) Headder, tortures him and turns him to evil to use his power. Minus the torture and BAM the end of Megaforce.

So when are they going to have the cross over episodes? Like the ones with Tommy and gang they filmed over a year ago?

That will be spliced into this probably. Or when they defeat Veker. Who knows, with Saban? Who the hell knows.

We've been assuming that Brajira would appear for Vrak's final form, but I still hold doubts about whether that will occur or not simply because Saban has been downplaying the angel theme of Goseiger. If it does, they would have to explain it (or just up and show him in this form like they did Yellow Mask and Pink Flash). Now, there is something to be said about Gosei Great which retained the angel wings on the side of its head (which would have been next to impossible to continually edit), so one could say that he absorbed the power of the now-unused Megazord to change a final time, but this is pure speculation. Two additional matters come to mind here: how much Super Mega Mode footage will be implanted here and will Brajira's own evil Headders make an appearance? Remember though, two of the three were shown with gauntlet forms, so if the monster forms remain unused, then you could have them as "special weapons", which would definitely sound Neo-Saban-ish. Also, will Vrak interact with the Armada villains any and will we get, if nothing else, flashback footage of Vrak and Vekar? Also (I know I have too many thoughts here), how will a reprogrammed Robo Knight work when Silver is supposed to have a Gold Mode with Robo Knight's face on his chest armor?

Come September, I'm going to be entirely oblivious to the fact Super Megaforce is a thing and just discuss Gokaiger episodes in the designated Super Megaforce threads.

I will call everything by its Japanese name and discuss the Japanese episode plots in leiu of the actual plots. Because it's either that or writing Unicron/Decade slashfics.

So they really are going to cut back to Goseiger just as they're about to finish up the Gokaiger adaptation.

I guess they plan to use Brajira form from Super Sentai 199 for Vrak's return while mixing Dark Gosei Knight footage.

Not really. A basic knowledge of the source footage would have meant no surprise there.

No. They're likely straight up adapting the 2 or 3 episodes over which Dark Gosei Knight was even featured. When Brajira was still running around freely. Because in Goseiger they occur before the finale, here they've simply shown them out of order, in a different season even, to facilitate an entirely unnecessary absence of a character.

Isn't Hulu at still putting up the episodes?

I don't think they'll use 199 Footage. I'm sure they'll just keep it to Goseiger footage.

I wonder how awkward it'll be when they suddenly are back to using Megaforce mecha? I'd assume they'll have some reason, but then again this IS Super Megaforce.

Still, at the very least I'm glad they AREN'T just ignoring Vrak, even if its a pretty silly way of doing things.

Hey, then Robo Knight can DIE and Orion can use his key for the finale.

Because in the final battle (you know, with all the suit changes), Robo Knight is there (along with NEW POWERS).

Just let the bastardization of the franchise's 20th anniversary end already. Bring on Dino Charge, and hopefully a guy in charge of the show (Judd Lynn) who gives a damn about what they're putting out.

Are you saying that they're just gonna lie about shooting new footage and just reuse legend war stuff from episodes 1 50 and 51 of Gokaiger?

Oh I'm sure the Legendary Battle will be mostly American footage. But what scares me is the interview with the special effects chick where she says the hardest part was "editing the legendary scenes with all the Sentai Rangers" ... which, they didn't do in the dream sequence.

So that means they probably use a lot of footage from the movie and from the first episode. I'm sure the battle with the Emperor will be mostly Sentai footage, because it's cheaper, easier, and doesn't require an explanation other than "NEW POWERS!".

Saban, as a company, dropped the ball on Super Megaforce. They dropped it hard. I hope with Dino Charge they begin putting in the effort that they've lacked in the last 4 years they've had their franchise back.

I know we all called it blahblah but in the context of Super Megaforce how will this work?

"Hey we got these Legendary Powers over the course of the season but we're gonna use our Megaforce powers on you only."

Then again they defeated Mons Drake (what was his name in Megaforce?) with their base forms and because of the way they edited it made no sense as they didn't use their power ups they'd acquired and been using for weeks on end against monsters of the week... for one of the big bads.

This is the smartest thing I've heard yet. ... I remember being so happy that Megaforce was Goseiger ...

Commercial free, yeah, but you have to pay for Netflix to watch them. You're not paying anything to watch them on Hulu. Not like commercials are that big of a deal when you'd be sitting through them if watching on Nick too.

The decision to merge Goseiger with Gokaiger together is really bitting them in the arse, huh?

It's sad because there are ways to make the two work together (even if it was solely relying on the Gosei footage) yet the way they've worked it and placed the episodes just seem dumber every time we hear something new.

The theorized story you and I came up with was leagues better than the final product. There are clearly an infinite numbers of ways that this show could have been anything other than shit. But it isn't better than that. It's a horrible, terrible, insulting piece of drivel.

Look on the bright side, at least Goseiger was the front end of this Super Sentaipede.

That would require actual effort on the production team's part and/or Saban giving a damn.

I just hope judd Lynn does some thing about this cause it been 4 year now of MMPR style quality and we need more originality
