Kamen Rider series with best/worst action
As the title says, which series have the best actions and which ones have the worst action? For me the best is Den-o, Kiva, Decade and the worst is Wizard
|
Going off of the shows I have seen, I'd have to give the title of worst to Agito in all honesty. I could never really get into the fight scenes like I did for the other shows. Not even the final battle managed to get me gripped. The only time that I think the action was good was in Project G4, mostly just for the fight at the end where chaos is breaking out and G3-X and G4 are duking it out. But outside of that, it just doesn't do it for me. It's pretty quick and a just doesn't leave that big of an impact.
As for the best, definitely Kabuto. It's hard hitting and has a good speed to it. Every move seems brutal and the high speed a lot of them are delivered with just makes it seem more vicious. I was only disappointed with the action once, every other scene to me is just completely awesome. It pulls you in and right up to the edge of your seat and delivers in some excellent fighting. That and one of the bets Rider Kicks ever. |
Best: 555, blade, Kabuto, decade and OOO!!
Worst: Ryuki and Hibiki!! |
To me the best would have to be Wizard Kabuto and Hibiki.
The worst action, Faiz, just because it doesn't feel like the character is under the suit. |

I really think Wizard is the best for me. The way Wizard fights without directly using his hands is amazing for me.

Worst is easy, Blade. The special effects used for the super moves is some of the worst I have ever seen in a production ever, I've seen web series with more polished effects.
Best is a lot harder, though. Faiz had wonderful action, but the scenes were so brief and disconnected from the rest of the series it is hard to care. Decade and Wizard were both fantastic series in terms of pure entertainment but lacked any real true stand out moments because they were so consistent. Ironic, eh? Hibiki may not have particularly great effects or imaginative monster designs, but the amount they get the Riders to do out of the suit and the gorgeous suit designs makes the fights a joy to watch all the same. |
I'm giving the best to Kabuto. It just feels so much fun to watch.
The worst I'd have to say is definitely Kiva. It's not bad in terms of the actual fight scenes, but the problem is that going from the shy and mousy Wataru to the violent and animalistic Kiva is too much of a jarring shift. "But that's the point! That Wataru is letting his Fangire side take over!" I know. I honestly understand it. But it just doesn't look or feel right, having someone too afraid to even thank someone in public to now start wrestling like he's about to take on the Rock... |
555. There was no choreography to the fighting, it was just people punching each other left and right. While that may be realistic, it does not make for exciting battles to watch, and the last thing I expect from a show about grown men in spandex fighting monsters is realism.

Best: X, Super-1, Kuuga, Agito, Faiz, Blade, Kabuto, Kiva, Decade, OOO, and Gaim.
The action of the two Showa series I mention were some of the best parts. Kuuga's action was cool. Gills really made Agito's fight scenes totally badass, same for Gatack in Kabuto, and Birth in OOO. Also I love the Hoppers, Sasword, Drake, and all the Riders in Kabuto and how they fought differently. Wataru was totally badass in Kiva same with Takumi in Faiz. Blade I like a lot of the different attacks they used, and definitely the battles towards the end got a lot better. Eiji in the movies is spectacular, and in the show he definitely has great moments too. Decade basically had all the past Riders and stuff to make it awesome. All the Riders in Gaim totally make the action freaking sweet. Worst (Well really Weak parts of the series): X, Super-1, Kuuga, and Blade Really just nitpicking here with X and Super-1 but I believe you can tell sometimes when they don't actually hit the guy and the enemy flies back, it's like a total miss. It sometimes bother me but not the biggest deal because the action is really awesome in these two shows. As I said I thought Blade got better towards the end, in the beginning it wasn't so great, I honestly thought all the series before Blade were going to look worse than Blade, I'm glad they didn't, lol. Also I wish Kuuga's other forms finishing attacks had better animations to it, because I remember his Dragon Form's finishing move was kind of lackluster. Still all just minor nitpicking that I really don't like doing. |
Kabuto is best for me. It felt like the characters were actually in the suit and the action is just extremely fast paced. I especially love watching punchboxing TheBee and Kabuto doing...almost anything.
Worst would probably be Faiz. I still enjoyed it for what it was, but I didn't feel like the characters were in the suit ESPECIALLY when it came to Mihara as Delta. |
Hi all newbie here!
I actually really liked Fourze's action. It was fun and matched the anime-esque feel that the show was going for. Agito and Ryuki were quite bland. I wish Gills' appearances had more blood ala Amazon, because the brutality of his character never seemed to come through. You could clearly see that after his classic finisher, his heel spikes just rested on the monster's shoulder blade... And his bike scenes were utterly lame. Ryuki was bland, but I didn't mind because the story was a struggle among ordinary folk, and the fights had to reflect that. Also, any action scene with Momotaros is awesome. |

Agreed. :lol |
Oh, I forgot about the best. TTHat would be both Blade and Black.
|
I'm a big fan of the action from the early Showa era, especially the original show and V3. It's not as flashy or polished as a lot of the modern stuff, but I think that really makes it more impressive.
|
I want to say Den-O, it's fights consistently got me pumped up for action, just because each form had such a unique style and stuck to it while they fought. Also like earlier as someone said, any fight involving Momotaros is awesome!
As for worst, it might just be me but Kiva's fights started to annoy me after a while, because holy shit so many knees to the gut. |
Hahaha I wasn't big on Kiva at all. I wish the fights had more of each form. Did they run out of budget for the CGI in his finishers or something? His forms were SO underused. Only Dogga was used for like, a whole of twice?
I mean with a rider kick that cinematic they should have kept it in as a finisher -and one that SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTS- more than twice too. However, I do like when Kamen Riders brawl. I like that Faiz and Kiva keep it real with the brawling style, one being based on street fighting and the other on monster fights. I actually prefer this natural brawling to overly choreographed fights. |
Best: Kabuto, Kuuga, Gaim, W, Black
Worst: Cant think of any in particular. |
Best: Wizard and Kabuto. Even though I don't like either series very much, from what I've seen of the first quarter of Kabuto and Wizard alltogether, they have great action. The clock ups get special mentions.
Worst: Not any series had terrible action overall but... Faiz? There were some spots where the action felt painfully paced due to the mission memory swapping. |
Any scene with Kamen Rider Joker is a awesome fight scene for me.

I generally enjoyed Double's action scenes. They weren't jaw dropping, but they were fun to watch for the most part.
