If past KR series had more riders than two...?
As I said before besides having rider shows with just two, how about more riders in every series? True we have movie riders.
In Ryuki there are 13 riders according to the rider war. But instead if it was rewritten why not 100 riders to replace the wild mirror monsters? In Faiz. There would be more riders with the greek alphabet besides five. They could've made Kiba a dark version of Faiz with an alternate greek letter. In Blade, there were more. But if Gatack had an upgrade since the hyper form in hyper battle, what if it was a different version? And Gatack would've had an extra weapon with zecters that were not used. In Kiva, IXA was the monster slayer and Saga was the "King". But what if Kiva had a knight that fights alongside Kiva? In Decade, Diend is a disappointment since it can summon riders, true. But what if there was a third rider who morphs into secondary riders like Decade that fights alongside him? In W, Kirihiko should've survived and decided to hide for a while until Shroud meets him and gives him a lost driver to become Nasca. And Eternal is its movie rider, including Skull, but there should've been more riders with lost drivers. A female one using the Queen memory. In Fourze, three astronauts: Rokuro, Gamou & Emoto were the astronauts. So there should've been three. Fourze, Meteor & a zodiarts rider. In Wizard, section zero should've had its own mage. One who can be a Phantom who fights alongside them and Haruto. Wizard's infinity is a diamond so why not for this rider to use a pearl as its final form? Wizard is Dante and the Phantom rider is Vergil. |
What would be the point of any of these? None of these would add to the show in any tangible way.

I think the only show I've watched that might have been aided with a new Rider is maybe Kuuga. You could argue half of Ichijou's strength is his strength of will even with the realisation he's absolutely useless in the scheme of things, but given how much I love his character (he's the only reason to watch the show) and how much I hate Godai I'd have liked to see the Grongi give him some sort of powers to keep the game interesting. |

You lost me there. I think you mean Kabuto, not Blade. |
No, a show with like 13-15 riders, yeah sure cool there's that many, but a good amount of them you might forget about, like Scissors, Imperor, Fiveteen and the other movie riders.
In a show, I'm not saying its bad to have more riders, it just okay. I'd rather have some riders with a back story, or characters I could care more about. Kabuto did that thing pretty good in my opinion, in just having one character become multiple riders. So if each show were to add riders, it wouldn't do anything but make the story a mess. I think the show to handle the concept the best would be Hibiki, it's the one that could have more Oni. |
W - three riders for the show - Double, Accel and Nasca (Kirihiko)
Fourze - three riders for the show - Fourze, zodiarts rider (Gamiu's grandson or nephew) & Meteor Wizard - three riders for the show - Wizard, Druid rider (for Section Zero and is also a Phantom) & Beast Will that work? |
No, most of these are terrible for the stories of thier respective showsor have already been done.

Agreed. And what is with your obsession over having a zodiarts rider or a phantom rider? Seriously, it just makes you come across as a typical preteen kid that wants that bad anti-hero/villain type where there really is no reason for it.

Having what is essentially 100 Odins for Ryuki would ruin the story and the fight scenes. The point of the mirror monsters was to be a wild card in the fights and to give the characters a reason to fight as the contract monsters eat the other monsters and you don't want your contract monster eating you. Even if they were just trooper Riders it would still be a bad idea. |

Personally, I think Rider series with fewer Riders are fine the way they are. The more Riders you introduce, the harder it is to make all of them equally good or interesting characters. Of course, not all of them can be at the exact same level of character development, but it should be more than: Hello, here's another rider, watch how he's cool in one episode and never does anythin useful again.
There's multi-rider shows that do good (Gaim), others that are... not quite as good (Kabuto) and some might be terrible. As long as a writer does a good job on having so many characters it's great, but a small cast of Riders is fine with me as well. I like casts that have more non-Rider characters because it makes the Riders seem much mor unique and it's easier to keep an overview. Except for Gaim, most of my favorite Rider seasons just have a few Riders (OOO, W, Blade...) and I wouldn't need any more riders in those. |

Thas pretty much exactly how I think about the matter. The Show should just do what works for it the best. Some shows wouldnt be the same with a ton of Riders and vice versa. |

And Wizard, they should've had a Mage of their own. He'd be like Chalice. Beast had no reason to come into the show. |

You have on record wished for this idea repeatably ; yet the basic idea that not every Rider would work better with more of the Riders seems to be beyond your understanding. Sometimes it's best to have a few Riders as having them interact with normal humans helps to flesh out the world the show's set in and allows us to form opinions, theories and viewpoints on them; therefore ensuring that we as the viewing audience can enjoy these characters with more than one ideal. While fighting is a staple of this series most of the time conflicts are formed that aren't caused by physical violence and thus must be solved by alternate means. The ideas you keep pitching as basically stripping Kamen Rider of all subtlety, complexity and worse of all meaningful character interactions. You can get away without nonstop fighting in a video game but a show needs story to keep from being monitious. Unless you take the time to listen to what we are trying to tell you your ideas will keep being ignored. This is why it pays to allow others to share their viewpoints; as it helps you grow as a story writer. EDIT: Unbelievable. We've tried to help henshinzero but I think he just stormed off because we kept telling him not to badger us with the same old ideas he's been pitching for some time now. Either he should start writing his own fan fiction or just stop; because I'm sure no one cares about his 100 Odins or his Zodiart Student Body, which I'm sure he got from Medaka Box's Minus Class 13. |
