I remember Blufin or someone else teasing an Armored Black and Shieldless Green 2 pack last year, but this is better than nothing.

The rumors ive heard have made mention of a possible three pack. No confirmation whatsoever but ive heard talk of Dragon Shielded Black & Blue Rangers with a shieldless Green.

I loved this episode so damn much! I can't wait to have this. Zack was my original favorite Ranger til Tommy came around. So Tommy lending Zack his shield was a cool thing to see. The underwater Megazord battle was cool too!

Now this is a good idea for an exclusive. Also one we all saw coming, but still.

AHAHAHAHAHA Sooo many people were saying this would never happen, that they never didn't care about the US market and fans to give us this. This is a def buy for me!

Bluefin said at SDCC last year this was the exclusive they were hoping to do.

Makes me want a SH Zeo Gold now, because I just love that Gold on black color scheme.

I thought it WAS the Gold Zeo Ranger at first from the tiny photo. Was ll like 'An S.H. Figuarts Zeo Ranger!?'

Then I saw it was Armored Black Ranger, which is still cool...though I wish it was in a 2-pack with Armor-less Green Ranger like the rumor was stating for ages.

We go from a huge 5-pack to a single release...kind of a downer.

I'm still hoping they are going to reveal figure stands for Pink/Yellow/Black/Blue/White to go with the Green and Red ones from last year.

That was just popular speculation. Clearly it didn't pan out. It's just something that was speculated. And considering BOA has made a couple of random Blue Ranger with Dragon Shield figures before in their 2010 MMPR line, there was kind of a precedent. Albeit not a very strong one.

Either way I am MASSIVELY excited for this figure. I know it's from MMPR Zyu2 footage, but I could honestly care what it's from. This is a very inspired exclusive and it'll look gorgeous on my Zyuranger display.

Nope, there's just Red, Green, and Armored Red.

Hopefully the SDCC reveals aren't all done yet and maybe the stands will be shown still.

In the meantime, Armored Black is awesome to see.
Of course, with people asking for Armored Blue (due to him having a figure in the 2010 line), the Yellow and Pink Rangers deserve armored forms I think as well.

Speaking of stands, I still need to get stands for Kyoryu Red, Shinken Red, and Shinken Gold

Not anything I'm interested in myself, but I do like it. That black and gold looks really nice, but like others have already mentioned it just makes me want a Zeo Gold even more!

At least it's something that appeared in the show.

I'm kinda in between this. It's a über cool release, and I'll likely get it (just cause), but it's something I could skip initially. This could've been shelved for those missing Swat Dekarangers, or the aforementioned Zeo Gold Ranger. But I'm likely going to hear the hate, so save it people, an go have your Armored MMPR Black.

Man, he's gonna look weird with Armed Tyranno/Armored Red and Dragon/Green Ranger........

Heck, this could've been saved for Adams PROO Defender Vest. We do already have OO figures.

I personally find this just meh. It's cool to the completists but to me it (like original colored Vegeta) is another case of this could have gone to a figure we haven't had over here yet such as the Gokaigers instead of the same figure with one new feature. If you want a black with the shield, get a second green and just cannibalize the shield off of that. But that's just me. If people want it cool beans.

That's really just it. SDCC exclusives should be something you don't need if you don't want it. Not a lot of people probably care that the exclusive is an Armored Black Ranger, but if the SDCC exclusive was a character we have yet to get in some form already. Say for example... Deka Break/SPD Omega Ranger or Bouken Pink and Yellow/Operation Overdrive Pink and Yellow.

People would rage because a major character not received thru basic means was turned into an exclusive.

Mattel is notorious for this with their exclusives at SDCC a lot of times.

Yeah, I feel the same way. It's frustrating when exclusives are something important since they're usually so much harder to get, I prefer when they're like this. Something cool and unique, but far from necessary for most collections.

Fully agree with the last few posts. This is pretty much the ideal SDCC exclusive imo.

I was hoping for a Green Ranger without armor to come with the Armored Black Ranger as was the rumor.

I actually just watched the episode with Zack getting the armor yesterday afternoon on Netflix. I didn't know it was the final episode of Season One, but the next episode was the first for Season 2 "The Mutiny, Part I"

They might save the armed less green for another con like NYCC
