Why do people HATE Toqger?
 

I thought everyone LOVE train but I thought wrong.

I don't get it. The purpose for the Motif is that Toei and Bandai want KIDS to buy their stuff by putting Train as Motif

The reason of why Kyoryuger wasn't successful because the toy sale.

I got a question for you.

Do you love Train?

I guess grown ups fan are not a fan of Train. Only kids

Why do people HATE anything?

It's basically a cycle that goes on every year when a new Sentai, Rider or anything shows up.

People tend to be afraid of new things so they lash out at them until it's proven to be popular, good or have some form of meme waiting to happen OR it turns out to be bad, stupid or has no real merit to its existence.

Given time I'm sure Toqger will show what kind of show it is. So far it seems to be dragging but with Z being fond of light, ToQ6 being unsure of his place in life as well as the ToQger's allies being shadier each episode until the big revel when we find out just what their deal is I have hope it can pick up sooner or later.

It really isn't the motif in my opinion.

For me, it's the tone of the show that doesn't allow me to enjoy ToQGer. I understand that it's a kids show, but the entire reason everyone loved seasons like Shinkenger was because it wasn't as light as ToQGer is. It's hard for me to take the show seriously because of all the "childish" things. (Ticket, mostly.)

I find the whole "imagination" thing hard to believe as well. Really. Superheroes that imagine everything? Add that up with the fact that most of the attacks are things that a 5 year old would come up with and you get why I don't really like the show.

The main thing that really grabs my attention is the villains. The Shadow Line has been a great villainous group so far and that's one of the only thing that catches my attention. (I like Hikari mostly because I think we share mindsets.)

NOTE: This opinion is based off the first 5 or so episodes.

For those of you that like ToQGer, well then I'm not trying to prove you wrong or insult you. I'm just providing my opinion, like this thread asks.

Shadow Line is more Badass than Deboth.

To be honest. I keep forgetting Deboth's leader's name. I blame Riku Sanjo for give him 4 episodes appearance

I like about the villain is they have Human villain. Deboth don't have human villain and again blame Riku Sanjo for this.

I only hate 2 things. People who do not tolerate other people's culture and the dutch!

It was the first thing that popped in my head when i read this thread. :lol

These are my reasons as well. The super kid friendly vibe is just not my thing. I found it pretty boring and a lot of the humorous bits were near cringeworthy for me. I personally prefer my Sentai to have a bit more of an older child sort of tone. Toqger to me is meant for five year olds (which it kinda is) whereas the stuff I like is more or less in the tone of how a lot of Kamen Rider is. It's why I like the Liveman-Hurricanger era of Sentai the most, it has comedy but it's treated in a more serious tone.

The imagination thing is really a great idea to me and if used right could open up a lot of cool things. But for what I saw, it was just used badly. The characters were just meh or bad to me with Riria and green being the only ones I found myself liking (Blue was meh, Right was bad, and Pink made me want to bash my head against my desk).

It just isn't the type of tone I like and with two characters that I only had a minor interest in, there was no point in me continuing to watch.

Don't worry. I pretty sure you might like ToQ 6Gou. You will. One day

Also the show has no goal, other than finding their home, it's just a boring show to watch. I love trains, but ToQgers show makes me want to fall asleep. I've never had that problem with Sentai before(except for Kyoryuger) or Rider. It's just the way the show handles things that makes me enjoy Rider more and more each day.

Also, it's REALLY nessicary for you to make a new thread just to bring up how much you don't like the show?

The whole amnesia/not remembering where they come from aspect is another great idea the show has in my opinion, it's just executed poorly to me. The show has genuinely great ideas, but they're not be used to their fullest and best potential.

I pretty much preferred Rider the minute I finished Ryuki. Complex ongoing story line with very little filler and has a more mature/serious tone to it. That sums up a lot of riders and it's what I've come to love for toku (though the Showa stuff is a bit hard to watch).

Hate and disdain aren't some mysterious force. It's easy to track, easy to place, and easy to follow.
Oftentimes, you find people having a harder time spelling out why they like something over why they hate it.

Ya I too started to prefer Rider after checking some of it out(which was seven episodes of OOO,Decade then Double) to where I started going like, huh these shows aren't as cool as I thought. Really only the action in Sentai keeps me engaged.

I think the main thing is that Sentai is a very formulaic based story. The story changes every year but at it's heart it's the same thing but with a new coat of paint. Kamen Rider follows a slight formula, but it's only in a few small aspects. KR as a whole constantly changes it's story year to year. Sentai really doesn't do that a whole lot.

I wish western toku had a more mature show like Rider since PR doesn't seem interested in pulling its dramatic weight right now

Back to Toquger, the show is boring and I only saw like 2 and a half episodes.

Despite dropping TQG at, like, episode 3, I found myself strangely enthralled with it during the Gaim crossover. I might end up giving it a second chance. Who knows.

Concerning Sentai as a whole, only rarely do I ever write off a series that I haven't attempted to watch (That count being one, Go-On). It doesn't keep me as interested as KR does, and the only Sentai I've seen that kept me interested from minute 1 to the finale was Gekiranger.

Do you think Gen Urobuchi might be the head writer of Next Sentai show after he done writing Kamen Rider Gaim?

I mean he state he want to do a toku show.

After ToQgers is done. I not sure if Gen Urobuchi considered to write Super Sentai next.

Okay. This has run it's course. I'm fairly certain that only 15 episodes into a show we don't need a thread like this.

And creating new threads every time like this is a bit unnecessary.
