Dino Charge and... Kamen Rider Wizard?
 

Apparently there's a new still going around that clearly shows Kamen Rider Wizard along with the Dino Chargers (Kyoryuger). Is this just lazy editing for the promo, is Saban bringing over Kamen Rider Wizard, or will he be introduced lazily as some kind of Other Hero like Auric the Conqueror from Zeo? Only time will tell, but let's speculate!

I hghly doubt Wizard actually shows up in Dino Charge. The Clip in question is just from the Super Hero Time bumper so its not even taken from the show itself.

There was no reason to show the bumper though. They have plenty of footage of the Kyoryugers to work with without resorting to that. So my feeling is it's there for a reason.

Didnt stop them from using TV Nihon subs for the Super Megaforce Clip :lol

I've read it had Gaim in it as well, so I'm almost certainly thinking its lazy editing.

The Gaim one was a mistake, the writer thought it was Gaim but it was actually Wizard.

All I see is him staring at Amys... assets. :lol

We all saw the Dairangers in Super Megaforce and everyone said they wouldnt be there. Sure there is a difference is Sentai and Rider, but who knows? Im just gonna keep thinking its as funny as everyone thinking Dricera will be purple until we see more.

Well these promos usually aren't very well designed, so I wouldn't take them as an indicator of the actual series' quality just yet.

These are just more examples of how piss poor the editing at Saban Brands is. These are clips from Super Hero Taisen Z, the ones with Wizard at least. Why they even need those clips is beyond me. They have a plethora of show footage to work with.

Maybe they're teasing some blitzing new powers? :p

I uploaded the KR Wizard still from the marketing teaser.

KR Wizard is not going to be in Dino Charge. These teasers are rapidly created for events like Licensing Expo. KR is visible only in a few frames. It is lazy editing but keep in mind that these teasers are not meant for the public.

Even though it's lazy editing, I think Wizard would be a decent choice for an American series though.

It certainly could be, though I still think that Fourze would be a very easy adaptation, if not the best option.

But if it did, and Kamen Rider was coming to the US, then I would be so happy. :D

Wizard has magic and a dragon in it. Magic and fantasy stuff sells well with kids like Harry Potter, and even Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I rather Saban not do another Rider show and see a original Kamen Rider show from American that is not adapted from any of the Japanese shows. Something done in the tone of Arrow while mixing elements from the original 1971 series.

With Wizard get adapted of all things? I mean the fights are cool, but given Saban's general laziness and copying and translating over the story for recent PR (minus the nuance and subtlety at spots) combined with what I think of Wizard (boring, dull mediocre, cliche) it could end up being the worst Rider series ever. Currently, that spot is held by the first half of Dragon Knight (cause I haven't finished that shitty show.)

But if Kamen Rider did come here, just release subbed DVDs, Blu-rays and stream all of the Japanese series. Please.

Wizard is not going to be in Dino Charge. At least I hope he's not. Remember those rumors of Power Rider when we were in the second half of Super Samurai and everybody thought it was going to be the Decade/Shinkenger footage?

I concur I don't think it would lead to anything. Though I would love Kamen Rider in the US.

I doubt that Saban (That's no good lazy bastard) will ever made American Adaptation of Kamen Rider Wizard. Wizard is just SUCK! Wizard have poorly-written character, lazy storyline and weak villain. Thumb down!

We all no Wizard won't be in Dino Charge. Saban has no trademark for riders or deal with Toei for that footage. This is just an editing error and should be treated as such.

Was that really necessary? Just because you don't like a show doesn't mean you know a thing about why something will or won't be adapted. Please don't pretend otherwise.

Well, I never said Saban would be the one to adapt it. If Saban was the one adapting it, I wouldn't even watch it. I would really only trust someone else to adapt it.

(I, actually, unlike others, liked the Disney era of PR, so I would watch it if Disney adapted it which will never happen.)

Because Toy Sales. Go-Busters, outside of the Ace DX Mech, was an almost complete flop toy-wise. No gimmick was the prevailing theory why, and the complicated why each mech combined. It was like someone took a bunch of random parts and stuck it together with super-glue.

But that's just a theory. I don't think he's given any real reason yet.

Bandai of America explained it to us at Toy Fair 2014.

There was no marketable gimmick in Go-Busters. Goseiger/Megaforce had cards, Gokaiger/Super Megaforce has keys, and Kyoryuger/Dino Charge has batteries. Go-Busters had nothing - it was an attempt by TOEI to make a radical change to Super Sentai and it did not resonate at all - all time low in ratings and sales. To that end, with an unmarketable toy line (every toy line needs a gimmick now) it was a mutual agreement by Bandai of America, Bandai of Japan, Toei, and Saban Brands to allow Go-Busters to be skipped.

Keep in mind - Toei and Bandai of Japan get a cut of the Power Rangers pie, as it's shown in their yearly sales spreadsheets.

Also - the clip of Wizard is from the "Super Hero Time" bumper at the beginning of each episode of Kyoryuger until Wizard concluded. Saban Brands attempted to reattain the rights to Kamen Rider but no agreement could be reached, hence why the "Power Rider" trademark was abandoned earlier this year.

No speculation needed - another Kamen Rider in the United States is not happening by Saban Brands. Thread closed.
