Your First R rated movie
 

What was the first R rated movie you remember seeing? I remember seeing Carnosaur on VHS when I wast least four years old and rented it due to my love for Dinosaurs. I also have early memories of seeing Aliens, It, Predator (both movies), Dog Day Afternoon and one of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies when I was really little.

The first R rated movie I saw in theaters was Air Force One starring Harrison Ford. I saw it with my Mom and other family members at the time. I was six years old back in 1997.

My first R rated picture was likely either Terminator or Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
It sounds odd, but I saw both of them on VHS, and I don't remember which I saw first since I was only, like, 5 at the time I watched them.

The only R rated movie i've ever seen is Terminator.

Thats a really hard one. I saw tons of R rated movies when I was a kid so its actually not possible for me to really pin down what the first one was.

Freddy vs. Jason was the first one I saw with out an adult. My dad give me the money and the people at the theater didn't seem to care that a 12 year old saw it.

Now that I got to think about it a while the ones I think could be my first are either Jaws,Predator or the Exorcist.

I know that I saw those realyl early in my life. Especially Jaws I had seen probably more than three times before I turned six years old :lol

I think it was Terminator 1 or 2, not sure which. I was very young, all I remember is that my dad was watching it on VHS and I watched some of it with him. No idea what the first one I saw in the theater was though, too long ago to remember.

My first was either Stand by Me or A Fistful of Dollars. But to be fair, I think A Fistful of Dollars was only rated R because there was no PG-13 back then.

If I remember correctly the first movie rated R I ever saw was either The Shining or Rosemary's Baby.

To be really technical, my first was Braveheart, though I saw it when I was still in the womb according to my mother.

It was either Terminator or Robocop, I can't really remember.

Mine was one of the Scream movies and that was a bad night for me lol

Mine might have been The Matrix?

Spawn, right after it came out on VHS.

I don't know HOW I managed to convince my mom on that one.

Wasn't Spawn only PG-13?

The regular version was indeed PG-13. As I recall, though, the director's cut was R.

As for me, my first R-rated film was 1981's Tarzan, the Ape Man.

I'm guessing it was Blade, although I honestly have no idea any more.

Probably Terminator or Terminator 2. Memories of youth be hazy yo.

RoboCop or Predator, 1987 was a hell of a year

Too early for me to remember, honestly. It was during the time when toddlers first start forming memories. :lol

Out of technicality: The Patriot, but we were watching it at school so it was an edited version.

My actual first R-Rated movie: The Punisher (2004).

EDIT: Ok. I know it was a Marvel movie, but when I was a kid, I saw a little bit of The Punisher, so I didn't see the full movie. The first non edited R-Rated movie that I saw was The Wolverine (Director's Cut). Wait.... that was an "Unrated" version...... It is either The Wolverine or Daredevil.

Stripes. Saw it with my dad, either on VHS or HBO, when I was... I don't know, seven-ish? I mostly just remember the military Winnebago of awesomeness and lots of boobs.

Scream. My parents would not let me watch R rated movies until I was 15. Of course, at the same time though, that makes it that my brother was 11 when he was allowed to start watching R rated movies...

I honestly don't know. My father or grandfather would take us to see things like 'Under Siege' as long as I can remember. Usually they would have previewed it in case there was nudity and then told us to cover our eyes. Mass amounts of violence and swearing we fine just as long as they didn't have to confront nudity lol. I'm guessing the first R rated film I saw was likely around the age of 5-6 but I have no idea.

Jaws was PG.

Scary Movie was my first. =_=

Surprisingly enough, The Blues Brothers. As a kid, I never knew it was an R-rated movie as it really didn't have anything too majorly objectionable.

Otherwise, Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
