Kamen Rider Virtune: The Videogame Rider
 

GAME SET!! START!!

Here's something I made a few days ago as I said the theme here is videogames

So far the story goes like this.

A videogame company called MIST is developing a new videogame that uses hi tech VR technology to temporarily convert real life matter into Virtual Fields where virtual blocks can be used to create a more realistic environment for players. Unfortunately an accident caused the VR engine to overload and cause a giant V-Field to form around the city. Normally the field is harmless and unnoticeable to humans without the proper equipment but every now and then creatures called "Entities" which are modeled after the supposed enemies in the game emerge from the field. To combat these, MIST and the local government formed a small organization called AGNIS (Advanced Generation of Network and International Security) which uses state of the art weapons to protect the safety of the public.


Anyway here's the belt design

as you can see it does a lot of things

Cartridge slot- is where the V- cartridges used for transforming and form changing is inserted

Virtune Core/ V.V.- after the cartridge is inserted tapping the big red button initiates the transformation

D-Pads- changes the elemental attribute of the weapons

Corner buttons- the ones at the top are used for activating skills/ Finishers (depending on the cartridge) while the ones on the bottom are used to switch weapons

Mobile Mode- the core can separate from the buckle and move on its own. It also runs on AI and has its own cheery personality

Fighter Mode (fighting games)

Virtunes base form its pretty versatile stat wise but doesn't come with weapons so the lower corner buttons do nothing and the elements are instead fused to the fist and the feet.


Fantasy Mode (RPGs)

More durable than fighter mode but is a bit slower. It also comes with several weapons : Levelblade, Levelax, Levelspear, Levelstaff (the one that looks like a flail). True to its theme the Fantasy mode requires the user to get her ass handed on her first as the mode scans the enemy movements and gets stronger the longer the battle last (it still has its limits though)


Shooter Mode (FPS)

Intended for long range combat this form comes with the Blitzmagnum a hi power pistol, Blitzcannon a long range rifle and the Blitzmachgun a machinegun it also comes with a set of grenades as one of its skills which can be used alongside the other weapons. Too bad the main character has extreme motion sickness hehehe


Puzzle Mode (puzzle and mind games)

Probably the least powerful in terms of offensive strength and serves more as support. The Puzzle mode is capable of creating snare traps, mazes and illusions etc. to confuse its enemies. Whatever it creates stays as long the Virtune Core wants to and can still be used even if the user changes form. Therefore this form is ideal for setting up ambushes with the Shooter mode or creating makeshift dungeons for the Fantasy mode.



Mid Season upgrade : Virtune Velocity Mode (racing games)

A form dedicated to fast paced combat Velocity mode allows Virtune to move at the speed of sound. Although to activate this form Virtune has to first switch to and stay using the Fire attribute set because this mode uses fire for the majority of its attacks and its boosters. Using this form while in another attribute will either cause the form to not work (ice), do nothing and simply turn the armor into dead weight (wind/base) or damage herself (thunder). Like the fighter mode, this form doesn't come with weapons but who needs them when you have flamethrowers and rocket powered punches and kicks. The boosters also allow Virtune to fly and hover for short distance but drains energy at a faster rate.

I'm surprise Toei hasn't done a VR theme with Kamen Rider as well with Sword Art Online being popular. Tron: Legacy and Digimon are popular over there too. I'm digging this idea though.

Good to know I'm not the only one with the idea to make a video game rider. Though that fantasy form kind of puts my Jayd to shame in terms of weapons. :lol

An introduction to the main characters

Name: Junko Amatsuka
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Occupation: NEET

The main character a 20-year old NEET who is also the landlady of the apartment (owned by her stepmother who is currently working abroad along with her father) she lives in. Junko is often mistaken as a man due to her lack of ahem... assets and is usually snarky,apathetic, lazy and would rather just live her life the way it is but she can also be an airheaded ditz especially when it comes to gaming and anime. There are times where she acts like an utter jerkass the more that her vulnerabilities are shown but she is actually pretty kind and caring and only acts that way because she fears rejection and hides her loneliness, insecurities and self-loathing by pushing others away.

The reason for this is because when she was younger her (real) mother was very strict and valued pride and honor above anything else and raised her to be a top model student. Unfortunately Junko can only handle being above average and when she couldn't meet her expectations, her mother's values turned into downright harassment and emotional abuse. This lead her into desperation to get away from it all and she ran away from home hiding with her best friend. Junko's mother eventually found out about this and used her position to fire her friend's father from her company. This lead to said father commiting suicide and Junko being blamed and hated by her best friend breaking her already fragile emotional state. Fearing what else could happen, Junko was forced to cut down her ties to her other friends which ended up with her being hated by more and simply lived on doing what her mother wants.

Finally when Junko graduated from high school, her father ( who only wanted to keep his family happily together and actually loved Junko) had enough and divorced his wife. But even this wasn't completely happy because his wife took off with Junko's younger brother promising to raise him as a successful man and moved to America. Junko's father eventually remarried to a kinder woman who actually managed to get along with Junko. But despite all that, the damage was done, and Junko has changed to become snarky and less trusting and now has to live with the guilt of what she's done as well as the fear of being hated again which prevented her from making any more friends and has resorted to videogames to drown her past sorrows. Not knowing what to do, her parents eventually decided that it would be better for Junko to be left alone for a while since they had work and that they too are afraid of causing any more damage to her although they still visit her once every two months.
Everything was going fine for her...until an escaped V.V. crashed on her face


Name: V.V. (Aiko Yuuki)
Age: at this time she should be 30
Gender: Female
Occupation: Virtune Core but before that, an AGNIS agent
Hobbies: Watching Toku, Eating, Gaming (after meeting Junko)
Favorite Food: Katsudon, Pork Buns, Ramen, Cake, Orange Soda

V.V. is the Virtune Core which was modeled after MIST's current mascot Vivi-chan who in turn was an original character by Aiko Yuuki the ace Entity hunter from AGNIS.
V.V. has a copy of the late Aiko's memories and personality but refuses to be called by her name despite that the two of them in theory are practically the same person albeit in different bodies. V.V. is a cheerful optimist with a some sort of a sadistic side but does things that she think is heroic. Even though she acts like cheerful idiot with a hero complex, she's actually suffering a lot due to having to adjust to a small mechanical body, having to deal with nightmares of her death, working with both of her younger siblings who doesn't know that she is Aiko, and no longer being able to fulfill her dream of being a hero

As Aiko she was the star of AGNIS, the sole user of the prototype Virtune suit in which she proves to be capable of taking down several Entities single handedly. She had no flaws, no problems , no fears and everything was just that easy for her. That was until one of her targets caused a huge fire in the building they were battling in. She was forced to choose between defeating the entity and preventing anymore damage at the expense of the lives of those in the building, or save them and risk the entity killing more people. She made the dumb choice and chose both. She defeated the entity and saved the people except one little girl who was trapped in a higher floor. She tried to rescue her and just when they were about to get to safety the ceiling caved in and Aiko sheilded the girl from the burning debris. That little accident damaged her belt and caused her to de-henshin and get sandwiched between the rubble. She had no choice but to encourage the girl to escape by herself and tells her that she will be fine. The girl managed to escape the burning building but lost consciousness outside after inhaling too much smoke .Aiko however was still stuck and for the first time in her career, she was forced to let the victims save themselves and now she is in a fire and is about to burn to death and the only thing she could do is cry and desperately call for help.........nobody came and Aiko died an excruciating death.

Mourning from her death, Her friend Makoto Utsumiya the one who designed her belt and was one of those who worked on the study of V-fields, converted her brain into Virtual blocks and was then converted into an AI for the new and improved Virtune Driver's Core. Upon waking up after 10 years, Aiko did exactly what you'd expect her to do: scream in agony as she remembers the last few minutes of her life. Even though she was confused after all that happened she was not happy that she was brought back to life as a machine , and she ended up hating Makoto. After that she went through extreme depression one that was only slightly lifted after AGNIS hired both her younger siblings, Takuya and Sakuya (who is now a hardcore Vivi-chan fan) and made them her bodyguards. Knowing what will happen upon telling them the truth, Aiko hid her true name and introduced herself as V.V. Because of her death she developed a huge fear of fire and being too close to a large flame causes her to glitch out and go into mechanical convulsions which why she refuses to use the fire attribute set which in turn prevents her using Velocity Mode ( although after some character development, she gets over it).

Even though V.V. is a machine reminiscent of a large memory card reader, she was given several abilities that enable her to keep her human qualities such as the ability to eat or drink ( by converting the food to V-blocks and absorbing it same as what she does to defeated entities, feel/ hold things with her hand even though she has no fingers ( by emitting and concentrating her V-field into makeshift fingers( invisible to humans) , change facial expressions (her face is actually just a special hologram projector made for her) and to float around to make up for walking. All of this are kept to reduce the stress for V.V. and enable her to keep enjoying the things she likes.

And you thought this was gonna be a happy story

And the award to my favorite fan Rider series goes tooooooooo...

Seriously though, this is amazing levels of creativity which I absolutely love. Excellent job YuuHikari!

Here's the tertiary( foe-to-friend) rider of this story, Kamen Rider Rygar (Raiga Endou)

As you see he has a some sort wolf motif. Rygar uses a customized belt which was created from an unfinished V-driver stolen by one of MIST's rival companies. It, alongside the Encore suit were made as test models after the failure of the Rage suit. Unlike the Virtune Driver, the Rygar driver uses a built-in core which cannot be detached, and is incapable of changing forms. Instead, cartridges only give Rygar the weapons/ some abilities associated with it. Despite its minor drawbacks, the Rygar suit is naturally stronger, faster and a lot more agile than the Virtune suit and it is calso capable of turning the boosters on its back into a set of arms with claws which already probably speaks for itself.

His finisher is the Rider Kick -> Rider Punch combo where he does a powered version of guile's slash kick knocking the enemy into the air. He then unleashes his extra arms and does a powered uppercut with all four arms while covered in a blue aura cutting through the enemy.

Kamen Rider Monarch (Daigo Ouma)

Monarch is Daigo Ouma the president of Monarch Enterprises a rival company of MIST.
The Monarch Driver is the result of reverse engineering a stolen V- Driver along with the data taken from the Rage,Rygar,Encore and Chronos suits.

Like the other cores, the King's Core is fixed to the driver and is incapable of form changing but this form boasts incredible amount of power,flight, teleportation abilities, and super speed. It also comes with a really big ass sword which can be controlled at a distance ala darth vader and is capable of splitting into two. But its most dangerous skill is the ability to generate his own private V-field (similar to what V.V. uses ) that can override weaker fields and allow Monarch to manipulate matter and physics within the area. It can also concentrate his field to form a barrier that is equivalent to a rider sized AT- field.

His finisher is the Rider Kick -> Rider Punch combo where he floats into the air and crashes down on his enemy feet first shattering the surrounding ground and knocking the enemy up. He then stops time while the enemy is positioned in front of him and does a powerful straight punch while his hand is covered in a bright yellow aura which has the same amount of power as a supernova.

As they say…….karma’s a bitch. Virtune’s final form accessed using the Victory Cartridge which was in turn created from the stolen design notes of the Monarch driver courtesy of Raiga who just had a heel-face turn.
Victory Mode requires V.V to gather a large amount of V-blocks (either from converting matter, defeating entities or are provided by AGNIS) and use it to transform V.V into the Victory Core ( which turns her gold) before inserting the Victory Cartridge.
Victory mode gives Virtune an incredible boost in stats as well as give her the ability to generate a private V-field that can override weaker ones (currently this is at a draw with Monarch’s) allowing her to manipulate matter and physics within the area. Thanks to AGNIS’s science team, Victory mode allows Virtune to use any weapon or ability from other cartridges. But her most powerful weapon are the Victory Bracers attached to her arms which function as both a shield, a laser blade projector, a blade shooter or simply as something to smash into enemy faces.

Damn its been pretty busy the past week I barely had time to draw so to cut to the chase introducing the secondary rider Kamen Rider Axess

Kamen Rider Axess is Takuya Yuuki, Aiko/V.V's younger brother who now works for AGNIS alongside his twin sister Sakuya.
Just like the Virtune suit, the Axess suit was originally made to be used by either Takuya (using the shooter mode) or Sakuya (using the fantasy mode). The initial plan was to let Takuya have the Virtune suit since he goes on hunts more often while Sakuya gets the Axess suit as soon as AGNIS finish making it and after running a few test on the first belt. Because a few unexpected occurences such as Junko's intervention, arrival of Monarch's rider etc. AGNIS was forced to speed up the creation of the Axess suit and ditch the A.I for Takuya to use as soon as possible.

The Axess suit is similar to the Virtune suit in terms of power, the only difference being the pilot's fighting style (Takuya uses guns, Junko/V.V prefers their fist, Sakuya with swords) thus through Takuya's suggestion the suit was given cartridges that have emphasis on long range combat. Despite being a rushed down project, AGNIS managed to throw in a few more stuff for the shooter mode such as a new set of weapons the Blitzcleaver (a gunblade), Blitzeagle (pistol),Blitzbuster (grenade launcher) and Takuya's favourite the Blitzscope ( a sniper rifle) and the ability to summon 2 weapons at the same time and dual wield them (dualwielded grenade launchers anyone?)

YEAH ARMORED CORE BABY!!

A form that boast incredible firepower. The Artillery Mode is the result of AGNIS employees experimenting with other stuff just trying to see what works. Most exclusively made for LONG RANGE combat, this form can use either a pair of folding cannons , a pair of gattling guns or a pair of homing missile launchers which in theory could rip apart even high ranking entities. It's also capable of changing the elements of its ammunition making it even deadlier.

Kamen Rider Prototype Virtune (Aiko Yuuki)

The predecessor of the Virtune suit piloted by V.V. herself when she was still alive.
The suit enhances the users strength and agility as usual but due to being a prototype, the suit can only run for a limited amount of time ( 2 hours). But even with that Aiko proves to be more than capable of taking down several entities with it.

Unlike Junko's suit this cannot change attribute or form and the cartridge is also fixed to the belt. It's main armament is the ProtoVirtune Buckler which can switch to a scissor like mode and can be fired attached to a wire.


Kamen Rider Chronos( Seichiro Suzuki)

One of the Monarch Riders used by Seichiro Suzuki.Monarch's (psycho) lead scientist. Just like the others, Chronos boast incredible power but its main ability is the ability to slow down time for a limited amount of time which can be used to evade attacks but using this ability requires a great amount of concentration to maintain. Something that Suzuki has in bucket loads. It can also control the acceleration of it's attacks giving it even more power. It can also create a mass of V-blocks which it can be detonated and used like a makeshift timebomb.
It's main weapon is the Clockhand Blade 2 razor sharp swords which can be combined into a spear-like weapon or a boomerang.

His Finisher is the Rider Kick -> Rider Punch Combo where he does an accelerated reverse roundhouse kick with a clock aura to knock the enemy away. He then slows down time to a stop and delivers a barrage of energy punches on the enemy similar to what they do in JoJo's bizzare adventures. He then normalizes time and detonates the residual energy left on the enemy.

I like! Nice evolution from the prototype to the current form.

Name: Takuya Yuuki (Kamen Rider Axess)
Age: 20
Occupation: AGNIS employee, Entity Hunter

Aiko's younger brother who's currently working for AGNIS. He is a cold, strict, by-the-book kind of person with a bit of a jerky side. Their parents died when they were 3 and his older sister took care of them from there on. That's why he idolized her so much. He joined AGNIS in hopes of following his older sister's footsteps and fulfilling her dream of becoming a hero on her behalf.

Despite this he is actually quite emotionally unstable and a bit of a crybaby and relies on Sakuya for emotional support after being devastated by her sister's death and forced himself to grow into the cold person he is now to cope with it.

He is an expert on guns, military stuff and household ( due to fact that Sakuya sucks at this) and can get a bit obsessive on his hobbies. He is one of AGNIS strongest hunters and is capable of taking down entities even without the Rider gear through the use of special bullets.

Name:Sakuya Yuuki
Age: 20
Occupation:AGNIS employee, Entity hunter

Takuya's twin sister who is a hyperactive, carefree, and clumsy ditz. Just like Takuya, she joined AGNIS to fulfill her sister's dream but her main priority is to take care of Takuya. She is also a hardcore fan of V.V. and is usually the one who gets tasked of taking care of her.

When she was young, she used to be a shy and soft-spoken crybaby, but her sister's death and Takuya's depression forced her to step forward and grow stronger for her brother's sake.
Sakuya is probably responsible for a lot of the comical and embarrassing crap Takuya goes through due to her idiotic, clumsy, ditzy nature. But even though unintentional, it's just her way of showing him support and affection. But despite this, she is actually smarter than she lets on and was able to get a driver's license before Takuya. She also harbors a bit of hatred towards AGNIS for indirectly causing her sister's death but tries to hide it for Takuya’s sake and to protect the innocent to make sure nobody else feels the same sadness they felt after losing a loved one.

Her forte is with swords and uses a customized katana for hunting down Entities. Her van which was issued to her by AGNIS can transform into robot mode she calls the Sakuya Kaiser by using the Mecha cartridge. She proves to be skilled enough to be one of the candidates for the Virtune and Axess suits before Junko came in.

Kamen Rider Encore ( Nao Otonashi)

One of the first suits made by Monarch used by Suzuki's adopted daughter Nao Otonashi. Although not the most powerful, Encore is by far Monarch's most dangerous rider, this suit was made as an Anti-rider umm.. rider designed to kill and destroy other riders. Its main duty is to protect Suzuki and cover up any evidence that endangers Suzuki and Monarch.

The suit utilizes sound as weapons and its main weapon is the Chorda Folding Blade a blade that can fold into a sheild with a gun similar to the gundam exia's gn blade. The buckler can also detach and be used as a guitar that can fire off energy blast and shockwaves. But its most dangerous weapon is her speaker-like bracers which can open up and fire a giant destructive sound wave used at close range and is a certified one-hit-kill against anything. Even the test settings which is at 30% output was able to take down Virtune Velocity with one hit as well as heavily damaging V.V.

Her finisher if the Rider Kick -> Rider Punch combo where she creates a huge energy note with her guitar and kicks it at the enemy to stun it then proceeding to do the one-inch-punch position before opening her speaker bracers and obliterating her enemy with a giant point-blank sonic blast.

One more thing that adds to the danger. She was also Junko's middle school friend who's father committed suicide because of her, and now she's gone insane after going through Monarch's experiments and she has no qualms about killing Junko.
