Those bottom two aren't Gundams, right? They don't look familiar.

Nope, they're Chinese produced model kits. Not knock offs either, as far as I can tell anyway.

I didn't know that China made things that weren't KOs.

China's been making original toys for the a few years now to coincide with original animations. You can still tell they are 'inspired' by Japanese shows, but a lot of them are fairly unique. The quality is varying but there are some pretty nice original toys around. If any one want to purchse those two, the links to the Taobao pages below:

Finally caved in and purchased my first AC figure!


I saw Ryugen for 30 bucks on Amazon with Prime shipping and I just couldn't say no! He should be in tomorrow. Kinda considering picking up either Duke or Zangetsu Shin just so I can swap armors.

finally got these beauties in just a little bit ago.

Is the one on the left farther away, or is that type of lock seed much smaller? I always assumed they were the same size.

The smaller one's an actual lock from the look of it.

they are both capsule toy releases, and yes the smaller one is an actual lock you can use. what was cool is that the actual lockseed had a small mini gaim figure with it. gotta say, lockseeds are so much fun to mess with.

Interesting, Alternative doesn't come in a window box. It makes sense, considering if it had it may not have appeared very different from the retail Alternative Zero box, but I hadn't been sure what to expect given the TWS Ryuki Riders have retained the window box that so many other TWS Figuarts have eschewed.

Figuarts Zangetsu, Chalice, Wizard Land Dragon, Ryuki Survive and Magnugigga. I wish the mailer box had been included w/Magnugigga, given the price I paid usually indicates its still included, but hey, finally nabbed the damn thing!

I recently ordered some vinyl ultra series figures Ginga and Dyna. they are so small. Have all the Ultra vinyls changed to the new smaller Sparks scale?

No, those are actually from the K'nex blind packs, ridiculously easy to feel out. They come with stand ports that are a little to big for Tamashii stage arm pegs, so I made adjustments. I got them to go with SHF Mario though. Seems like they'd scale well.

Not Toku related, but:
It's been a while since I picked up any of my comics and Excelsior was urging me to chip away at what I owed because my subscription draw was getting incredibly full. Reluctantly picked up a chunk and reduced my pulls list down to four books (Invincible, Chew, The Goon, Saga).
Forgot I had put these back, awesome issues of Alan Moore's run on Swamp Thing, love this series.

I got everything except the tie clip from Yahoo Auctions Japan. That came from the GAINAX site. Sadly I missed out on a sweet deal for a LD set of the original Dirty Pair series. The guy at Yokatta was super helpful with everything and shipped it quite quickly. I'm glad it came in before this weekend. I want to wear the OSTO pin when I go to Kennedy Space Center on Saturday. :D
