FAKE: Micheal Bay to direct MMPR Reboot Movie
Yup. According to what's going on around the internet, which you shouldn't believe mostly, Lionsgate has said that Micheal Bay will direct the next MMPR movie. Now, I personally don't know if this is true. Until I see secondary, and maybe more, confirmation I am not believing a word of it.
So make of this news what you will. |
Where there's Michael Bay, there's explosions. I for one approve explosions. KABOOM!!!!!
|
Link to this info? If it's from Kdramastars then avoid it at all cost. That site is full of shit.
|
This would be totally awesome!
|
I hope it's not him. I'm sure he's sick of doing huge explosive blockbuster versions of kid's stuff. I for one would like to see Micheal Bay work on something that's his own creation again.
|
His disregard of the source material is pretty bullshit, but it also works for mass audiences and studios making them lots of money to give him the freedom to make massive, fun movies. I'd prefer it in his hands than most.

Well, I honestly wasn't expecting a good movie, so I guess at least with Bay it can be absolutely shit but still moderately entertaining like all his movies are as long as you can turn your back towards racism and sexism (which at least the former was lacking in his most recent film).
|
If there's any sort of director around that can handle random explosions, over the top action, corny dialogue and asinine plots it'll be Bay. Perfect choice in my mind.
|
I have conflicting feelings about this, but right now I'd rather hear an official confirmation or denial.
|
As much as I love how the recent TMNT movie is coming along, let me guess: Billy will have goggles attached to his helmet and Jason will have an extra black belt above the belt that carries his morpher.

I'm generally not a fan of Bay, his action is so over-the-top that I leave the theater with a headache, and his story, characters and dialogue are often cheesy and predictable. Now, that being said, those very things are why his style would admittedly fit Power Rangers. I wouldn't particularly mind if he directed it.

Oh heck no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You really got to stop believing everything that's posted on the Internet.
The rumor originated from the "Power Rangers MegaForce" Facebook page (a fan-created one with only 3K likes), and they stated at 12am they would have a big announcement from Power Force (which they are not a part of). Then, at 12am CST, they posted a claimed E-mail from the Power Force from the head of Lionsgate. The first sign it was fake? The E-mail states, "a grittier, darker Power Rangers", when Saban Brands has said, even at the Licensing Expo two weeks ago, that they want to keep it cheerful and fun, to appeal to both the young and the old audiences. In this day and age, if this crap isn't coming from something official you can't assume it's correct. Michael Bay has not been chosen to direct Power Rangers at this time. Until Lionsgate, or a major movie news outlet releases the information, it's all made-up. |

False false false false false.
Big giant not happening rumor that got started from a fake Power Force e-mail. Kickback knows what's up. |
