Stupid Question
Since we know the Riders and Sentai Heroes share the same universe why hasn't a team like the tokkyugers come across any cracks or Forest monsters while on their journey across the world? Hell Even the Go-Busters live in the same universe Why haven't they done anything? I know its All "The movies and specials are not cannon"stuff but it would still be nice to know." Espcialy with the last movie (kryu vs) trying to conncet the busters to the kryu guys fight during the goaki vs movie.
Oh well. Slight rant over. |
This is gonna be complicated.
Each series of Sentai and Rider are supposed to be in thier own separate universes (With Sentai haivng a VS movie continuity). But then you have stuff like the Double, OOO and Fourze guys living in the same world and Gaim being separate from everybody else. |
The more simple answer is....japan really doesnt care about continuity. Most japanese shows dont have that tight continuity like for example western comics or tv shows have.
When the Script needs those characters to interact with one another they do...every other time they are pretty much unconnected. |

At the same time Showa era from 1 to RX was one world. And double to fourze when back to that world due to the fact they were the main 7

I thought Decade was the answer for this, if theres a continuity issue, its because he brought them over himself and everyone gets returned to their respective universe after the whatever they were needed for.
Or the more common- BLAME DECADE! |
The simple answer is, shut up and don't question it :p

*KAMENRIDE B-B-B-BLADE!* SHUT THE FUCK UP! Everybody is blaming Decade for everything bad. When can we give him credit for doing something good? I'm still hopeful for the Kamen Rider Taisen movie being the best Rider movie ever and that has Decade in it. |

Tensou. *Outbreak! Roplant* *vines ensnare Powerman* Easy there Powerman. We all just like to channel Narutaki form time to time. Plus, the "Blame Decade" scapegoat thing is a running joke in the Toku community. Would you rather we blame the Muffin Man for everything bad? Oooh, how I hate that muffiny bastard! |

*Breaks free* At least he didn't fuck up your childhoods or something the way you guys are treating Decade. |

Thats how I saw it. |
I always assumed that the Rider universes were separate and occasionally came together via Decade. Like how the worlds are treated in Kingdom Hearts, which would explain why none of the history makes sense if you look at it in a timeline, or why active Riders wouldn't show up during major events.

I don't know trying to find continuity in any of these shows just gives me a headache :lol |
The one thing that pisses me off more about Japan's lack of continuity is how little they seem to care about that fact at the same time.
Everyone raves about Gokaiger but I actually found it an incredibly alienating, challenging watch, as it was a celebration of a franchise where every series clashed with the next and the show was forced to edit out the bits that didn't fit - or more regularly - just smash everything all together creating plotholes so big you could ride the Galleon through. And I know "it doesn't matter" but it shouldn't be a big thing to ask that these shows make sense even if its just within their own internal bullshit rules. |
Actually, Decade did the same thing as Gokaiger though. The world's Decade was visiting where A.R. worlds, while the real riders did seem to coexist in another world- or that's what it suggested. But then again, Decade was like: Screw logic! We'll just do whatever we want in every episode.
The thing is, the shows are presented seperately for every generation to enjoy without knowing all of them. It is easier to build a superhero show with a new team without some overpowered senpai appearing. Of course one doesn't have to like the crossovers or what they did with the continuity in Gokaiger, but I try to use my own imagination on how Gokaiger works. Headcanon can help you get over such things, even though it doesn't correct the plotholes, but just covers them up. |

Personally, I'd like more solid continuity between series, but then again, I'd probably be asking myself why Tendou Souji doesn't just Hyper Clock-Up and solve every conflict in every Rider show ever :lol |

There just isn't a continuity between series. Easy solution~
