Just curious, guys, but out of the figuarts you own, which ones are you favorites?
I've been trying to keep up on solid Figuarts releases and I'm just interested in hearing which ones are favorites amongst the community?
My Top 5 would probably be, in no particular order: 5. Kamen Rider Psyga, which is an AMAZING figure to me. I love Psyga's design (probably my favorite Faiz design next to Delta) and the figuart captures it flawlessly. On top of that it comes with a truly unique accessory in the jetpack. 4. Kamen Rider Ryuga. Everything I loved about the original Ryuki release in this gorgeous matte black, silver and gold color scheme that reminds me of an exotic car. 3. Mammoth Ranger. Barely beats out Tricera Ranger as my favorite of the Zyuranger releases just because Tricera Ranger doesn't have the extended staff. The black and white is just clean on the figure. 2. Kamen Rider Gaim. Saying this figure is photogenic is an understatement. And the visor just POPS. I love the orange on this guy. 1. Kamen Rider Skull Crystal. Honestly, has there ever been a time where Skull didn't look like a badass, figure or otherwise? |
Non toku - Cure Heart Figuarts
Toku - Kamen Rider Ryuki wtih Dragredder, I love the fguarts so much. He is just a solid mold, he has a lot of play value and options since he comes with everything he uses in the show minus the survivor stuff. Then once you pose him with Dragredder he looks 10x more badass. |
All of the Gaim riders so far. And I'm sure I'll love the upcoming ones just as much if not more.
Kabuto 2.0. Because 2.0. Blade King Form. All the goodness of the Blade body, with all the beautiful fancy regality of King Form. Iron Man. Looks good in almost any pose you can think of. Also die cast. I'm SO excited for MK 42 and Patriot. |
Sailor Mercury and Mighty Morphin Pink.

My absolute favourite is still my first: Decade Violent emotion. Solidly built, no signfigant limits to posability, and a single set of hands that can hold both versions of his weapon and still look good.
In terms of Sentai I really prefer the Gokaigers. The hidden by a sleeve type bicep swivels on the MMPR/Zyurangers and the Shinkengers don't really work nearly as well as the plain bicep cuts the Gokais have. Other highlights include: - Ryuki and Ryuki Survive - the Fourze figuarts. I know some people don't like the proportions, but I really like that they look more like high school kids wearing suits rather than grown suit actors. - all the Flame Dragon and higher versions of Wizard. None of the problems from the base Wizard styles (at least in my copies) and all of the gorgeous molding and gem detailing. - the Den-O releases I have (Liner, New Den-O Trilogy version, and Zeronos Altair) |
Hmm...
Favorite - Tie between OOO TaToBa and Shin. Favorite riders from both eras kinda bump them to my top picks. Runners up based on looks, accessories, sentimental value: Gaim Decade Violent Emotion Gokai Red Wild Tiger Hurricangers Zyurangers ShadowMoon |
Meteor, no doubt.
Solid joints, great articulation and incredibly easy to change hands. Zero complaints from me. |

His white could be a little brighter but other than that I love him. He has great accessories too :D |
Sailor Mars - all she needs is a flame effect and she'd be perfect.
DragonRanger/MMPR Green Ranger - The start to what became the greatest toy versions of the MMPR we'll ever get. Deka Red/S.P.D. Red - Aside from the crazy amount of accessories, he's just one of the best modern Rangers, and the Akibaranger extras are cool, too. |
3. Kamen Rider Tiger
2. Kamen Rider Odin 1. Kamen Rider Abyss |
Gaim - the shows suit design is still weird and it almost seems like cheating to pick such a new release, but they're ridiculously high quality figures. They clearly put a lot of effort into them and it shows.
RyuuRanger - probably my favourite red and just the best Sentai release so far. Cure Happy - I wasn't the biggest fan of Smile, but their designs come off really well in figure form, everything about her (and the other Smile girls) is pretty much perfect. I don't think Heart works quite as well because of her ponytail, despite being a better character. The Sailor Moon releases are really disappointed when compared to the newer Precures. |
Tough choice! I'm going to include non-Toku.
1. Red Hawk/Black Condor The best Figuarts mold with excellent accessories. Red Hawk and Black Condor are the best we've gotten of Sentai and I think it's a travesty we haven't gotten the other three. 2. Basco and Sally Beautiful figure that really shows off the excellent suit design. Generous amount of accessories that includes absolutely everything Basco needs and even an in-scale Sally ZERO! Awesome in every way. 3.Tyrannoranger Second best Figuarts mold after the Jetman and probably the best set of accessories a Figuart has ever gotten. Not a single accessory is missing and it even includes Akibaranger parts! Excellent figure. Very disappointed that the other Zyurangers skimped out on accessories. 4. Gokai Green My favourite of the Gokaiger. Excellent mold and awesome accessory count. Navi is the best accessory ever! 5. Sailor Moon The first in a stellar series. Beautiful sculpt and generous accessories makes her a must-have. Sad that the Sailor Moon series went the same way as the Zyurangers with having a first figure with a huge accessory count that misses nothing and then following it with figures that skimp on accessories. |
Gaim, Sailor Mercury, and Blue Buster.
The Busters' designs translate exquisitely to the format. I only wish he came with at least an extra hand for the thumbs-up salute. |
I only have sentai figuarts...but my favorites are Black Condor, Hurricane Red, Gokai Red, Kyoryu Black, and Shinken Red
|
They're all really great, at least the ones in my collection. My favorite had to be armored red ranger simply because I never would have thought they'd do a FiguArts of my favorite ranger in that mode. With him being my all-time favorite, other ones I really like are Kamen Rider Birth, Super AkibaRed, DekaRed and female ShinkenRed.

As of this moment? This moment right here? Gaim.

Really tough one. I'm extremely picky when it comes to figuarts quality; I need to like the character, the suit design and approve of the figure's quality as well.
With that in mind, my top picks in no order of preference are: 1. Gaim: Very tight package here. The joints are solid, colours are spot on, accessories all work flawlessly (the musou sabre and daidaimaru even connect together to form the naginata mode without requiring a separate piece!) and proportions are exact. Baron and Zangetsu's figures have quality issues, and the upcoming Ryugen has a fatal design flaw in the skirt that hinders mobility, so they can't compete with the titular protagonist on this one. 2. Fourze (base states): I think they could have done better with accessory count. It wouldn't have hurt to pack in radar and missile modules. The marketing gimmick didn't do the accessory count any favours here. Other than that, I agree with what was mentioned earlier, that the proportions were made to resemble a high school kid rather than Seiji Takaiwa's body. Also, the quality of my figure is excellent, and the compound eyes still mesmerise me despite the figure being two years old. Lovely figure. 3. Shin Ichigo: the classic rider is the quintessential figure for any toku fan. Aside from the lack of bicep swivels, the figure is an excellent throwback to the showa era proportions. The effect part works far better than the other figures in the showa era series (V3's is a nightmare to put on). A must have. The other figures in my collection just can't make the mark. I'm a perfectionist that way. xD |
