Best episode of the series 10/10 Life fulfilled who needs plot anyway.

I'm really curious how the are gonna present that episode in the context. Also yay for Hase-chan coming back! <3

I'm probably one of the only people who don't mind these tie-in episodes mainly because they provide a break from all the dire suffering currently going on in the plot. Usually you leave that to one-off filler episodes in your usual Rider shows, but given how Gaim's been going so far, doing that now would feel super out-of-place. Especially considering the apocalyptic state of things now.

Granted the timing of these episodes could be better considering they tend to happen after big cliffhangers, but I enjoy them for what they are regardless since the more light-hearted side of Gaim is usually just as entertaining as the dramatic side.

I actually enjoy them as well. I absolutely loved the wacky Kikaider episode so I very much hope this one is in the same vein. It's not like we lose real episodes or something for these, they're still very enjoyable and so compartmentalized from the main story that they can be enjoyed very well on their own.

I actually like the tie-ins too. They just have the worst timing :lol

Unless something plot wise happens I'm skipping this week. If you like them, more power to you, but they annoy the holy you-know-what out of me. "Takatora was defeated! HERE HAVE SOME SOCCER!"

Yeah this is my beef with them. If they came after like, Episode 18 or something then I think people would be more willing to put up with them.

They know people are going to watch specifically for the "Next time on Gaim" clip at the end :lol

I'm very tempted to do that, too. But I think I'll stick it out. I haven't skipped an episode of any Rider series I've seen and it would feel weird to do it here, no matter how bullshit this one is.

Luckily where I watch I can skip straight to it without having to sit through soccer.

Kaito, the Kaito we've known all this time, is sent to the football universe by DJ Sagara. Meanwhile, Kouta continues to look for Takatora in the normal universe. That's the jest of it.

So yeah, Gaim has had a crossover with ToQger, most all Kamen Riders, Kikaider, real world soccer, and ITSELF.

I got confuse, so Kouta is not the only one who went to alternate world? Kaito went to alternate world too? But why everyone think Kouta went alternate world alone but didn't think Kaito will go to alternate world? Is this episode prequel to Gaim's summer movie?

As someone in the stream comments put it, and I tend to agree, the soccer portion of this episode really felt like a Hyper Battle Video. :/

So what happens next episode? Takatora is alive/dead? Roshuo's wife is ressurected? Mai and Yoko have a Girl's Day Out? Mai gets a Driver? Yoko goes God-mode like Urobuchi's other cute pink archer? Ryouma returns? Sagara betrays the Overlords? Zawame gets invaded by Shocker? Wallace and Gromit find Atlantis? The Pope discovers a spaceship beneath the Vatican that takes him to an intergalactic outpost where he helps alien freedom fighters defeat an evil space empire? The Simpsons gets cancelled? Someone tries rebooting Galidor? Narutaki and Decade reconcile their differences and become BFFs?

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?! TELL ME!!!!!

Okay guys, who's gonna get me plane tickets and a hotel so I can go to Japan and watch that movie? NOW???

After giving up on Zawame City, Ryoma returns in front of Kouta once again. Ryoma knows the secret passageways into Yggdrasill and asks for alliance. Although Kouta wants to save his sister and the other people, he disagrees due to their differences in opinion. Meanwhile, Mitsuzane constantly sees the illusion of Takatora in front of him, and he cannot get rid of it no matter how hard he tries, making himself very distraught."

Well to be fair, it's not like Gaim has too many filler episodes.

I don't remember where I read it, but wasn't this whole string of episodes suppose to be Micchy's redemption arc or something?

Like he kills Takatora, feels extreme guilt, realizes how much of an asshole he's being and then tries to redeem himself, probably through death?

Yes, but these are getting annoying as they are doing them in the middle of a story arc instead of planning them out ahead of time. It really disrupts the flow of the episodes. Plus, they didn't do this before with W-Wizard, so why is it suddenly okay with Gaim?

Because change up in management said so. I imagine this type of interruption shit will continue in Rider from here on out.

Oh, and apparently, HE lives.

Whenever subs are done, if anybody finds the new YT playlist for Gaim and could link it here, that would be freaking awesome.

So according to the movie preview at the very end, Gaim Banana Arms makes an appearance in the film.

Unless Kamen Rider keeps its current quality I foresee a huge drop in viewership. It's understandable to want to push a movie based on the series but to interrupt the show's flow on a whim?

I can easily see this strategy backfiring. There's a limit as to what viewers can take before they tune out and look for replacement toku or other media forms.

Yes. Because all of Japan will immediately lose faith and replace a 40 year legacy because of two or three promotional episodes.

That was certainly different. I like the world-building of the soccer world and the cameo appearances of movie characters, as well as connecting the movie without changing the time frame. Action was excellent and Baron finally has a Rider kick!
