Zyuranger you're not the best but I enjoy you and will buy this. As I said in the SDCC thread, I really, really hope this does well so that we may possibly get to see other Sentai releases in the US.

Okay I know this was pretty much because MMPR source footage. I have no idea how good Zyuranger is, but there are some saying they wont buy because it sucked. I disagree, sure you may not like it, but if this doesnt sell, we might not get more Sentai Subbed OFFICIAL releases stateside. This is a huge opportunity and we should not waste it.

Oh, Shout Factory. First you started with MST3K, then Headmasters and now Zyuranger. They have quickly become my favorite DVD distributor.


That...that doesn't make sense. People shouldn't have to buy something they don't want just to get something they do.

That's like "Hey, do you want Corn Pops? Well too fucking bad, you didn't buy enough Fruit Loops, so you don't get to have that thing you do like."

I mean yeah, if people like it they should support it and hopefully that will lead to other releases. Personally I'd like Jetman and Dairanger, but I wouldn't buy a series on DVD I don't enjoy in the hopes of getting ones that I do.

Like Dairanger. I hope their expectations are low though.

This makes up for all of the poor depressing news from the rest of the day. This makes up for almost all of the disappointments that have happened this entire year in my life. This is amazing. I hope this leads to DaiRanger. I want official subtitled DaiRanger DVDs.

To be honest I think they wouldn't do Dairanger for a while and just focus on the ones that fully became PR seasons. Dai wasn't used for much to where there's a clear distinction of "Okay here's the American version for the casual fans and here's the original for the hardcore fans." If they did Dai and Kaku I'd say it would be later on, though who knows and maybe I'm wrong. I hope we get Dai on DVD since it's one of my favorite seasons.

Honestly, I hope they do them in order from ZyuRanger on.

actually that is how Mattycollector runs and how this will probably go. Zyuranger is a test to see if sentai will sell here, and if it doesn't sell well then it will be a one off


take gundam for example, it is a heavy rumor that one of the main distrubitors of anime over here is negotiating for the rights to release all of gundam. but first they have to start with gundam wing to see if gundam is marketable on blu-ray over here. I want Turn-A gundam on blu-ray, and I would buy EVERYTHING, including shows like Seed, Seed Destiny, and 00, that I OUTRIGHT DESPISE, if it means showing the market is there to support to release more over here so i can finally get my Turn A Gundam, ZZ Gundam, Gundam X, Victory Gundam, etc.

As long as we get 'em.

It's Shout Factory. It will probably be released in two volumes that cost $15-20 a piece. That would be $40 for the entire series. I paid more than twice that amount for a single Japanese volume that had 10 episodes on it.

If Wing is first, I am going to be greatful for that. Or Zeta.

Finally! Super Sentai is being released in the US on DVD, hopefully subbed! I will surely get this, hoping for more seasons to be released on DVD.

I'd say my top five to get released would be Megaranger, Dairanger, GoGoV, Timeranger, and Kakuranger. I would say Hurricanger and AKibaranger since they're my favorites, but I already own them on DVD and don't need them on DVD again, unless of course they got released and had some great special features.

the rumor states Wing is first, then they are arguing if UC or Seed should be next. myself I say UC so we can get victory and zz over here asap

I don't think they'd ever bring Kamen Rider over again until they have a good foothold with Sentai to assure them that there is a market.

Whatever comes of this whole thing I told Brian Ward personally, at the Q&A end of the panel, that I will buy 12 copies of Mystic Knights DVD's if they ever happen. Seriously.

As long as this leads to more toku releases I'm happy. :D
