Kamen Rider OOO vs Spider-Man
How would you picture a fight between OOO and Spider-Man?
|
OOOs and it's really not debatable. Certain combos are downright OP compared to Spidey.
|
OOO in a close one.
|
OOO without a doubt because he has some really powerful forms with some kick ass abilities.
|
Spidey would have a problem against Sagozou's Gravity powers, and all the of the forms of Gatakiriba not mentioning any of the other combos.
|
Does Spider-Msn get Leopardon?
|
Spider-man, because OOO wouldn't even be able to henshin before Spidey webbed his driver away, let alone combo change. Spider-man is one of the quickest and most agile heroes and won't sit still while OOO switches medals or transforms. Spider-man's powers are always on, but OOO's driver is a weak spot that Spider-man would easily deduce with his crafty Spider-brain. Also he'd be heckling OOO the entire time, since OOO only ever fights static, slow-moving monsters who just stand there most of the time, and even if he could transform, Spidey has super strength and could just smack him around, or web him up with his super-strong and sticky web.
So sticky. Sticky bastard. |
Spidey is used to fighting incredibly powerful foes, and his strength is nothing to be laughed at either.
Add to that his Spidey Sense and resourcefulness and he would find a way to stop OOO in no time. |
You've basically got a guy who's entire power set revolves around quickness, reflexes and agility, and you're putting him up against a guy who, at his fastest, is easily avoidable simply due to that being the standard of the genre he's from.
OOO would have to be incredibly unlike OOO and Spider-man incredibly unlike Spider-man in order for OOO to win. |
Doesn't Super Tatoba stop time? I can't imagine Spidey beating that.

Eiji would pull out the belt, Spidey would think it's a gun or something, and web it away/web his hands. The fight wouldn't even start. And if OOO tried to get the drop on him, he'd sense it.
Spider-man's a cheap fuck. He quickly spams low-level attacks so his enemies can't build up anything effective. OOO takes too long to change forms. Also, people seem to forget how smart Spider-man is. Everyone expects a straight fight and not anything at all realistic or reflective of the participants. When people see a "vs" fight they don't consider the character's personalities, methods, or anything. They just imagine how hard either can punch. The only way Spidey could lose is if Eiji used Super TaToBa and went for the finisher immediately before Spidey even realised there was a fight. But that's not how Eiji works. He's never done that, and would never fight like that. Likewise Spidey would have to be unrealistically slow, dimwitted and predictable to let OOO reach any of his stronger forms. OOO may get to TaToBa, but any time Spidey sees a medal he'd web it away and put it in a little web-bag he'd hold onto out of OOO's reach. In fact, he'd probably wait until OOO had taken the old medals out, then web his medals away and gum the driver, forcing Eiji to de-henshin, then string him up and leave a little bitch-face note on him for the cops. Jameson would then bitch about it in the newspaper and Spidey would spend the night examining and playing with the medals. |
Well like I said Spidey can't fight an army of Gatakiriba's, and would be screwed against Sagohzo because of his gravity powers to suck everyone towards him.
Okay let's stop this stuff about Spidey webbing up the driver, we want to know who would win the fight not if the fight would begin or not so let's say Eiji is transformed already because you wouldn't see the fight begin with Pete taking off his civilian clothes would we? |

Spider-man's got super strength, but even he knows there's people he can't beat up. Wheras all OOO ever has to do is take his enemies in a straight fight, Spider-man's enemies pretty much always physically outclass him, and he has to find alternate ways to defeat them. Plus, no offense Eiji you're a great guy, but Eiji lacks even basic common sense at times, (I'm in a race to defuse bombs, so I'm gonna not use my superspeed mode and risk a bunch of people's lives for no reason at all) and Pete's always on his toes and crafty. So you've got a guy who does nothing but fight people by matching their physical power (OOO) to a guy who's physically powerful anyways, but always thinks of ways to fight people by exploiting weaknesses to them, whatever they are. (Spidey) Also, Spider-man's powers can't be turned off, and OOO's are focsed on an unprotected object exposed on his person. Quote:

I'll just say one thing (please don't take it seriously):
Spidey and OOO are about to start the fight when they suddenly lose their senses. Not so far... Tendou: obaachan ga itteita: fellow superheroes shall not fight, but they can fight me, who can defat them all. |
I have to fight Spiderman? Well I'm screwed.

As somebody that has an OOO Tattoo and a Spider-Man tattoo. I refuse to choose. But i like this conversation.

OOOs. Even excluding Super TaToBa and his time manipulation abilities or TaMaShii's apparent invulnerability/durability that he could use to take Spidey down, there are so many tricks up Eiji's sleeve with all the OOO combos that he could use to his advantage. Though, that's not to discredit any of Peter's edges, such as his spider sense and the fact that he's done battle with something designed to counteract his Spider Sense and won on multiple occasions.
Worst comes to worst, he could pull the same trick he did in one of the movies and use GataKiriBa to access all of his combos at once and catch Peter with one of his scanning charges. It would be a VERY close battle, but I think that Eiji would find a way to win. |
Only problem is Eiji ever getting a chance to use any "tricks." The OOO driver, even going super fast, takes too long to swap medals. You have to tilt it, pull them all out, put them back in, tilt it back, pick up the scanner, scan it, then wait for it to finish. Spider-man literally just has to point. Sometimes not even, since he only has to point at a target to connect a strand from him to what he wants. He could always just quick-fire little webs. For every step switching medals takes, Spidey's webbed him up. He's an asshole like that.
Really, when you start putting Kamen Riders with finnicky belts and slow dramatic fighting styles against "real" fighting heroes who don't faff about, they're going to lose by virtue of simply being too slow to draw. Spider-man would have to be slowed down, and OOO sped up, for any kind of lengthy fight to take place. And that's another thing: length. Spider-man's not doing anything special when he fights, not to him. Eiji is under strain every time he uses a combo. Spider-man has speed, agility, stamina, endurance, smarts, and reflexes on his side. OOO has pure strength, but needs to land a hit or else it's pretty much useless. |
Spider-Man because he is..... Amazing..... :o
SpOck because he is..... Superior..... :rolleyes |
Spidy could snach medals right out of OOO's belt and is way more clever in a fight, but if this was a popularity contest then OOO all the way

Now now, you all consider him putting in the medals in the driver to transform before they can start...have you considered he could have the driver already on him with the medals preset in it before he transforms?
And the whole "Combos put a strain on him." He got over it by the time Megamax came around. He doesn't have that weakness anymore. |

Eiji is not a tactical fighter. His whole fighting style is practically based around "this power didn't work, so I'll try this one". That's not going to work against someone who's style of fighting involves being quick and outwitting his opponents. |
You also have to keep in mind that Spidey is a guy who has gone toe-to-toe with guys like the Juggernaut, the Rhino, Venom, Carnage, Doctor Octopus, the Lizard, and Kraven the Hunter; and defeated each and every one of them. He can handle power-players, tactical geniuses, and any combinations of the two.
Even if OOO is ready to fight, Spider-Man only needs a few minutes to assess the situation, figure out Eiji's weaknesses, and have a terrible joke ready to demoralize Eiji into defeat. Besides, he was also Captain Universe for a while. |
I see it playing out like this: Spidey and OOO fight each other, they're both evenly matched, a villain or two from each side join forces to take them both out, Spidey and OOO team up to take out villains, they take out said villains, and Spidey and OOO have a good laugh after a hard day's work when suddenly Deadpool.

What about the character from them?
Like with Peter "With great power, comes great responsibility" With Eiji "With great power, comes great desire"? |
Okay, this came into my head. We know Eiji doesn't go straight on full color combo when he enters, but we do know he does at time goes into RANDOM COMBOS. So who's to say he doesn't have Cheetah as his legs and runs to a distance where he can switch into full combo?
|
If Spider-Man gets the chance to toss his web shooters on, then why doesn't Eiji get the chance to transform?

In the amount of time it takes Eiji to transform, Spidey'd have already strapped on his webshooters. He has been known to use them as Peter Parker—as evident in The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. II, Issue 697—so he wouldn't be too concerned with completely changing into costume (which only requires him to strip off his civilian clothes and put on a mask and gloves), assuming he was at all concerned with preserving his identity. Even if Eiji managed to transform, Spidey's not stupid. He's experienced enough to figure out after at least one Combo Change that the Core Medals are key to Eiji's powers. By stripping them away from him, Eiji would be stuck in one form. As powerful as it might be, Spidey is a seasoned combatant. His abilities and skill are enough to allow him to win. |

Also, I imagine if worse comes to worst, the dinosaur Medals could zombiefy Eiji and force a transformation once again. I'm not sure that's something you can stop with just trying to web them away. |

Fact of the matter is that Spidey has been at it for decades, has genius level intellect, super strength and speed, and everything Eiji does Spidey has faced before, how could Spidey possibly lose? Oh, and Dinosaur medals don't exist anymore. |

While PuToTyra would prove to be a challenge, Spidey isn't a slouch, either. He's taken on the Juggernaut, who is supposed to be unstoppable; the Lizard, who is incredibly powerful; Doctor Octopus, who has raw power and the mind to guide it; Norman Osborn, who's got a bigger bag of tricks than Eiji; the Hulk, one of the most powerful beings in fiction; Venom, who has all of Spidey's powers and is undetectable by his Spider-Sense; Carnage, who has all of Venom's powers and none of his inhibitions; and Wolverine, who is nigh unkillable; and beat them all at least once. PuToTyra is basically a mix between the Lizard and the Juggernaut, so I have no concerns of Spidey not being able to outwit him. If it's a battle of them at the peak of their powers, it's Eiji's GataKiriBa clones in all of Eiji's combos versus Cosmic Spider-Man. I think it's safe to say that Cosmic Spidey wins. If it's a battle of them at the beginning of their superheroic careers, Eiji might win with his greater powers. Even then, he only had access to TaToBa and TakaKiriBa. Spidey could easily web Eiji up into a cocoon. |

KRX did a good outline of it all - if you have current Spider-Man against current Eiji, Spider-Man wins, definitely. For the sake of argument though, I think it's a more fair fight if you take them from the same point in their respective careers. (Otherwise, Riders just seem to keep growing stronger. At one point, Rider 1 survives an atomic bomb being dropped on him, but that's thanks to multiple upgrades he's gotten at various points.) Eiji at say...6 months of being OOO is a very strong fighter, but still not a fantastically strategic one. Peter at that point is growing stronger, but his intellect definitely makes up for his his superhero growing pains. |

Besides, Spidey can also web up Eiji's hands so that he can't use them. This is a guy who fought Wolverine, after all. |
