Your interest in ToQGer - Has your interest been ... DERAILED?
I love puns.
There's a lot of talk out there on the Internets that the show continues to lose dedicated viewers - meaning people like us. Why, even our great Den-O has debated getting rid of some of his ToQGer merchandise as he's beginning to lose interest in the show. So how about you? Has your interest been DERAILED? (I will never get tired of saying that) |

Not for me it hasn't. I admit, much like Gaim, I hated this whole thing before it started. I am a die-hard Kyoryuger Fanboy. Lady Candelira! But this show is so much better than I thought. Not every episode has been amazing, I could've done without the Fire and Police Ressha episodes. But the cast has kept me coming back. |
I don't know, i haven't been able to find anything past the first six episodes on youtube.

I personally cannot stay interested. I am attempting to - I am downloading episodes as we speak. But I find my interest lacking severely.
|
I never really had interest in it the first place, I watched the first episode and that was it. I don't hate it, not at all. Super Sentai shows just don't do it for me anymore since I finished Go-Busters.
|
The only reason I've lost interest is because I just haven't had the time or drive to sit down and watch some of the latest episodes.
I love the series, and I do eventually want to catch up, but for right not it's a "meh" kinda thing for me. |
I enjoy it. It's the first Sentai series I ever watched though. But I find it interesting. It's better than Power Rangers Super Megaforce at least.
|
Not at all, I love the cast, the ToQgers are one of the most fun team in recent history, I enjoy the lightheartedness and the plot has moved enough for me.
|
After what happened this week on the show the hope train still chugs along like build daioh's pulleys.
|
Meh. I didnt care for the series much at all to begin with, it took until Akira debuting for me to get invested, and then they ate Zed, my favorite character. I might change my opinion once I see episode 24, but at the moment, I am back where I started with this show. Not much of an opinion at all.
|
I started it. Thought it was horrid.
I continued. It wasn't as bad, but went from horrid to just dull. I kept at it. Nothing improved. It was just dull. I was never particularly excited for it to begin with, honestly, but I have no intentions on catching up or finishing it. |
To be perfectly honest I don't have much interest. I don't think it's a bad series, but it isn't for me.
I find the villains more interesting than heroes, both in personality, because they actually have it, and design. For someone that's totally okay with being good and hopeful for the sake of it, I should not be lacking interest in the heroes. I appreciate certain aspects, like Kagura's internal pep talks, or Ticket being a complete smartass. But it was never something to completely hold me. I can't even say my interest was derailed so much as I boarded and immediately got off, caring not for the journey or destination. |
I'm still enjoying it; far more so than either of the last two Sentais before it. It's not like my new favorite show of all time, but I'm really having fun with the characters, the villains, the stories, the action, and the show's overall tone. Also, Akira's theme music is freaking awesome.
|
I didn't realize how many peeps here at Tokunation was DERAILED, or just has no real interest to catch up yet.
|
If anything I'd say my interest in the show has picked up in recent weeks.
|
Toqger actually got more interesting as it went along.
|
I tried, I really tried. I was so incredibly ridiculously pumped for this show. It seemed like ToQger would be a fresh start after Kyoryuger which I was only averagely interested in. But sadly this show fell onto so many tropes and boring used plots right out of the gate that it really lost me. The ToQ 6 and Emperor stuff that's come up recently has helped hold my attention, but it has failed to increase my long term interest. I'll continue to watch it as I feel it's pointless to judge a show on only a partial viewing of it. But for now I have lost tons of interest.

i like the show so far. My interest has stayed pretty much on the same level as it did with Kyoryuger, but lower than Shinkenger, Go-Busters, or Gokaiger. Although it is higher than than Gekiranger and Goseiger (just thinking of recent series). Although if there is some awesome storyline to finish the season like Gekiranger had, I would be pretty excited. There is that possibility as we learn about their forgotten memories and I want to see that play out.
|
I'm still hanging on to it, but I'm not enjoying it anywhere as much as I'm enjoying Gaim.
|
It's ironic that this thread is created now the show really get interesting. I didn't like the show that much at first, but now I find it entertaining. Episodes 22~23 were really really good.
Sadly, episode 24 looks like a filler. It would be awesome if all episodes from now on were more story driven. |
I still like it. for me, as the show picked up steam and started chugging along the plot rails I couldn't get enough of this locomotive sentai.
|
My interesting is still on track. Unlike Kyoryuger, this series doesn't feel like a chore to watch and makes a nice counterpoint to Gaim.
|
It didn't really get derailed for me. It more was a case of me getting off the train for a bit of fresh air but the train had left before I could get back on. I basically forgot where I'm up to but I wil catch up as it sounds like it's getting pretty interesting now.

I am pretty much exactly the same way. Though I was excited for Gaim when it started. Yeah I am a huge Kyoryuger fan (Obviously) and said horrible things about ToQGer but now I am eating Crow. After watching episode 17 when ToQ 6 first debuted as my first episode I fell in love with it. I am All Aboard for this Sentai. |
I lost track of this show after episode 5. That is where I departed from this annoying borefest. Toei needs to spend some time training their actors to actually act normal rather than acting like spastic people on Speed.
|
The first few episodes for me were pretty good, then it got stale. Nothing really lead up to the mid season thingy. 6 was good at first, but even he became like the others.
The toys to me were pretty bland at first then Build Dai oh appeared and it along with the legend Ressha stand out to me. Everything about TpQger has been bland, so much lack of build up to anything. Uh, I just gave up. |
For me, it started as a train werck, and now, finally, is starting to get interesting. I haven't seen 23 yet, but can't wait to see what happens with Gritta, and the Emperor.

See, I don't understand the whole waiting until 23 episodes for it to get good. That is more than 7 hours of your time spent on a show just to get to the good part.

However, I think the next station will be good since they will try to invade Shadow Lines in place of the ol' defense some stations from darkness and we will getting some out-of-suit fight scenes |
My answer is yes and no. The teens were a very mixed bag with Akira being a fun character, but the episodes ranged from okay to the absolute worst. Plus there's little to no story progression. However, the last few episodes remembered the show had a plot and it's been progressing quite well.
Right now, the show is perfectly fine and I'm somewhat interested to know what's next. If you had asked me a month ago, I would say without a doubt that this show was beginning to lose me and I was only going to give it a few more episodes. So yeah, this thread is running late. ...Damnit! I almost made it without making a train pun. |
I enjoy it a lot. It isn't a series that I take serious and that helps with the enjoyment. I always crack up when Right calls Diesel "Grandpa". It's just overall a fun show.
|
I pretty much lost interest in it at episode 04, but I guess it's because I had just finished rewatching Gokaiger and the first 10 episodes of Go-Busters.
|
Wow, seems like the show is kinda popular. I watched the first few episodes and just hated it. Have they explained why they swap colours yet? It's one of the things that really annoyed me but if it's got a valid reason I'd feel better about it.
The shadow line though.... Oh man.... That's some good villain designs. Ahh well. If you guys are enjoying it more power to you. I'll stay over here mumbling about not wanting stupid trains. |
They didn't explain it yet, but the norikae change has been used in many, many fitting situations where it turned out to be a great advantage.
