I'm going to guess that a teaser trailer will come out during the Super Bowl in 2015 and a full trailer later during that year.

A release date is really important - it shows that the movie is really taking off in terms of production and behind the scenes. With a release date that should mean a preliminary script/story is ready and they can begin the process of figuring out where to film the movie (chances are ... NEW ZEALAND!)

Mid-summer's a good release window.

I know it'll be up against Turtles 2 and X Men: Apocalypse that summer. Probably one of Marvel's "Phase 3" projects too. Anything else to watch out for?

Only movies in direct competition the week before, of, or after are:

- DC Cinematic Movie (unannounced)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is June 2016. Honestly, you'll probably have a Marvel movie and Transformers to compete with Power Rangers.

It's not bad a release date. Enough time to film and prepare.

I hope for 23rd Jump Street.

It's going to be a busy summer, but it'll be a new I.P of sorts amongst a bunch of sequels, so it might be able to stand out.

But first and foremost here's a hoping it'll actually be bloody good.

You know, if you told me 10 years ago I'd be more excited for the PotA movie over a PR or a DC movie I'd have called you a liar. That being said, I'll keep some cautious optimism for this MMPR movie.

Ice Age 5, Apes 3, Independence Day 2 and Doctor Strange comes out July 2016. This movie is going to get overshadow by other movies. 2017 would have been better. I just hope for a decent movie.

Been awhile since I did a midnight premiere of a movie. Actually, I never have. This might be the first time I do.

I hope other toy companies will do figures for the movie while Bandai America will do toys for the kids. I just imagine NECA and Sideshow Collectibles doing PR toys for the movie.

Setting a release date before they even write a script or anything tells me they are out to make a release date and not a movie.

Godzilla had a release date before the script was finish and it turn out fine. I still have hope for this movie.

My hope is that they chose 2016 to make sure they get it right. And that they show off the suits during that years Thanksgiving Day parade.

Actually, I might be in San Deigo on my Stubenville trip the weekend this movie premieres. So sorry guys, I might not be contributing to the first week of ticket sales.

Meh, a release date is nothing for me. Doesn't give me any information of the movie. Also so many people are over hyping this movie a bit. I personally feel this could be a one time movie with maybe a couple sequels.

Hope boa uses this as an opportunity to give us a fully articulated combining megaZord. That's been my wish since childhood.

Imagine if Transformers 5 was to come out in 2016 liked originally and mistakenly said. That would be one hell of a year for my inner child. The top three things from my childhood all on the big screen in one year Turtles, Rangers and Transformers. So close.

Yeah, I really hate Hollywood with the whole 'create a release date before movie has even been written yet' mentality they seem to have developed.

The new TMNT movie has it's sequel dated already as well (not really deserving one either).

Seriously, have a script, have your actors, and have filmed the movie before you plan a release date.

It isn't uncommon practice to set a release date after having a script. While some may go further, I think setting a release date after filming can be a little bit too late. :lol

The date could be move. Look how TMNT went from Christmas 2013 to May 2014 to June 2014 then finally August 2014. I do feel like the date could move to a new date if they don't have the time to start filming.

i do not have any hope for this movie what so ever though i am curious if they will be using the ninja megazord or a new megazord

They will likely have it based on MMPR Season 1. The Dino Megazord would be pretty much given at this point.

I wonder how they'll update the Megazord to fit in better in a big-budget live action movie?

At least CGI technology has advanced far enough to where we can avoid this :lol :
