Silver Ranger Gold Mode Problem
 

There's a problem with introducing the Silver Ranger's Gold Mode in Super Megaforce. The Silver Ranger in Gokaiger has all the helmets of the 6th rangers on his armor. How are they going to show Silver's Gold Mode in Power Rangers if all rangers pre Zyuranger teams except Maskmen and Flashmen (Samurai Surprise) don't exist in Power Rangers. I hope the Gold Mode is Changed to reflect Power Rangers more and add the Jungle Fury Spirit Rangers, Phantom Ranger and Titanium Ranger, but seeing as how Saban has been so lazy, I bet they'll just use the sentai gold mode and just brush off all the other supposedly non-canon 6th ranger helmets on Silver's armor as "there's a simple explanation for that.."

Actually, there is no problem as there are no sixth rangers before Zyuranger. As this image shows the only helmets on Gold Mode are ones that have been used in PR.

Teams, pre-Zyu, did not have sixth rangers(Bioman and Maskman had prototype ones)

How is there a problem? None of the pre-Zyu teams had sixth rangers. All the helmets on the Gold Armor are PR related. The oldest one is Zyuranger DragonRanger/ MMPR Green Ranger.

I wouldnt get your hopes up on Titanium, Phantom, Spirit Rangers added. The toys dont them added, likewise, honestly Saban has been lazy with editing anyway, no way theyd add in new ones anyway.

Plus, why would we get Spirit Rangers over Rhino Ranger?

I know Maskman had X-1, but what did Bioman have?

I guess I didn't pay as much attention to it as I should have. Sorry guys. Wait a minute. Why arent SPD Nova or DekaSwan in there? They're not considered 6th rangers?

Nova Ranger, no. But DekaSwan A.K.A. Kat Ranger is considered an Extra Ranger as her Ranger Key is among the Extra Ranger Keys, along with SPD Shadow Ranger, even though he debuted before Omega Ranger in SPD.

Nope. They are extra/support heroes. Omega/DekaBreak is sixth of DekaRanger/SPD even though Shadow/Master showed up first, he is still a support hero.

Seeing as they're 8th & 9th Rangers respectively, why would Deka Swan or Deka Bright be on there? And they fall into the broader category of Extra Ranger/Extra Hero. 6th ranger refers to the proper 6th addition to a main team. Not an infrequently seen character with a handful of episodes for screen time. Characters like X1 Mask, Green Eagle, Deka Swan, Magi Mother, etc dont belong there because they aren't the proper 6th's for their respective teams.

There is no inherent issue with this power up as it represents nothing that hasn't previously made it's way to Power Rangers. No sentai characters without American counterparts are featured in Gold Mode. And they would never alter the suit to accommodate such American exclusives as Titanium Ranger or the Spirit Rangers. That simply isn't going to happen, it would require far too much extra expense and new footage to make that happen.

So that kind of settles the issue at hand.

I think the real problem with the Silver Ranger's Gold Mode is the fact that Robo Knight's face is on there. I understand he was technically a sixth ranger for the Megaforce team, but the last time we saw him, he disappeared along with Vrak when the Armada arrived. We know for a fact that they'll be back, but until then, how are the writers going to explain Robo Knight's face on Gold Mode?

Much like Jake going Black to Green, it will likely never be addressed or explained.

That's what makes me hate Super Megaforce; the fact that Saban doesn't explain anything for this season AT ALL. In fact, let's count up the number of things Saban needs to explain by the end of Super Megaforce.

-The Gosei Great Megazord and the other Zords that they had were just fine when they got their Super Mega Modes.
-Pink Flash and Green Flash from Flashman, Yellow Mask from Maskman, and the Dairangers are now in Power Rangers. We know that the Dairangers were "never seen on Earth" before, so where did they, Pink Flash, Green Flash, and Yellow Mask COME FROM?
-The Super Mega Modes, the Silver Ranger, the Morphers and Zords, are pirate-themed.
-Jake going black to green like you mentioned (this one infuriates me the most, as THAT could have easily been explained in ten seconds; some Ranger teams have a Green Ranger, others have a Black Ranger, THERE!)
-Where did the Ranger Keys come from? Did Gosei just copy the powers? Are they simply the essence of the powers stored in the Universal Morphing Grid?
-Where did the Silver Ranger's powers come from, and how did they get to Entrasia or Antrasia or whatever the hell Orion's planet is named.
-Why is Robo Knight's face on Silver Ranger's Gold Mode armor?
-Why does Saban have to be cheap tightwad when he said that this season would be the biggest budgeted season for Power Rangers, when we CLEARLY have yet to see anything that makes use of that budget!? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! *Hits head against a wall*

Even after watching Linkara's newest History of Power Rangers review for Operation Overdrive, I'm still convinced that Super Megaforce is the worst season ever. Maybe most of these problems will be explained in the last few episodes, but I doubt it at this point. I'm really just waiting until Dino Charge airs.

So Im gonna guess todays episode kind of settles this, well the early release of the episode today. Gold Mode premiered and nothin edited.

Also, Its called SuperMegaforce Gold now. Alright.

The real issue with the mode is it's horrendous design. Why couldn't they just be the logos instead of the helmet/mask things? Whoever wanted that made needs to learn how design works.
