So. I started sketching some ideas for a mascot for TokoNation. Like the one for TFW2005? And I thought.. why doesn't every artist try, and then the site votes on who wins and then that becomes the mascot? If the Mods agree, I mean.

King Ranger is my hero until there's an SH Figuart of Kamen Rider Ryuga, then maybe I'll have a hero in Kamen Rider too (though right now I'm pretty fond of Kamen Rider Knight and Kamen Rider Meteor).

We have actually seen Figuart Ryuga and Dragblacker. I don't think it has a release date yet, though. And given that Gai was exclusive, I'm sure Ryuga will be, too.

I'd nominate what is clearly the best character in toku history.

So we're still doing the "whoever's interested submit their proposal and it will be judged" deal? I think I might be willing to try my hand at drawing something, though I'm not sure if I can commit yet.

Now what exactly are we looking for in a mascot?

If we do ever use it in an official sense, the creator has to be cool with giving up the rights :p That's the catch. Credit for design and artwork, but not going to play the game 5 years down the road if TN gets super super popular, has ad revenue coming in, and then suddenly someone wants a cut because they designed the mascot half a decade earlier.

Just an FYI from a business legal standpoint.

I think everyone can agree to these rules.

Like Kickback said you get credit for designing it, and they use it, but you don't get to come back later and say "I want mah cheddah!" Or whatever the kids are saying now.

Submit your entries in the Submit thread I'll make, now that isn't for comments. Just to submit your entries, so everyone can see them without moving through five pages of "Awesome work!". Makes it easier.
Then myself, or whatever mod wants to, will make an official voting thread. We'll keep the polls open for a week, and whoever wins gets to be the mascot.

Unless a mod disagrees o.o

Entries are now being accepted from now untill July 1st. Thats gives you plenty of time to draw, and submit. Then the voting thread will be made July 2nd.

(And I won't be entering. I tried seven different designs and burned them all with a lighter xD Artist I am not)

I wonder if we could put in two submissions. Cause I have an idea for a male mascot, and the cutesy Toku-chan mascot idea I have lol

I say go for it, and then we'll take the best out of the two :p

I'll start up an official thread here in a moment. Thing is, it's got to be perfect! So I think I'll include a clause that it may or may not become an official mascot ;)

It'll be like Boombox over on TFW, a fan made icon that represents us.

Well, here's my first Idea, Toku-Chan! A girl who uses the powers of different Toku. Her main features come from Fourze, RedBuster and AkibaYellow. Hope you like!
