FINALLY!! IT'S OUT!!

But I'm just at the beginning..

Voted Average. And it's lucky I did that. I was enjoying this episode, I really was, I actually laughed a little at Orion doing his best Risky Business at the beginning. I thought "Maybe these last couple episodes will be good!" ... And then what happens? Jake turns into.. Bioman?! Again with this?! And once again absolutely no explanation for it, it just BOOM there it is. Dino Charge can not come quick enough.

Save us Judd, you're our only hope!

And something else. I went into YouTube and made sure before posting this. But he already had the belt that summoned keys.. So what did Tensou do exactly?

Except for The 'New Power' I enjoyed this episode. Jake gets some development. They translated Dons footage into Jake well I thought, and the end of the episode makes me more excited for Jake-Gia shipping.

I dont care, that is the only thing I look forward to is Jake-Gia. :lol

This was a pretty good episode, minus the uh *cough cough* random sentai ranger inserted in...

All of it was good with the exception of the random Sentai ranger and Jake not noticing robo-knight on Orion's chestplate. :lol

I can't watch this because my cable provider dropped Viacom instead of accepting the doubled costs for their channels. Sounds like I'm not missing much.

Neither can i unfortunately.

Well, as far as things go, not terrible, but could use help. Since the start of Megaforce, they have been using money in all the wrong places. There is almost no effort to use the budget they do have constructively to workout translation difficulties and to further implant original story ideas that distances Super Megaforce from Gokaiger. No new mention of Robo Knight (though it would have been warranted), and no mention of Lightspeed Titanium (they should have extensively redone the Orion introduction to explain why he might not reappear continuity wise until the finale). Now remember, episodes have to be examined individually, not just collectively. All things considering, they were on the right track, it just always seems to drag at the most crucial moments. Others may find a niche with this easily, but wouldn't recommend anyone hold their breath over it. Oh, 'New Power' occurrence again, echoing what first happened in Earth Fights Back and then Samurai Surprise (like anyone is truly surprised anymore).

I was wondering how they'd work around the Green Flash transformation during that important scene. Guess they didn't.

Did they call it a "new power" or was it another case of Yellow Mask and Pink Flash without any verbal notice made to it?

thought it was decent. the "new" change was made less cringing, I think, by what Jake said during it. still though, this episode had the distinct taste of a holiday ham.

ok i thought it was good it was not bad. yet again it could of been nice for jack to change it some what of a pr colour like zeo or MMPR black just a suit that looks like bio main in scheme and they could shot own footage for it. but all in all i enjoy it so far Orion is starting to be my fave ranger this season i dunno why but its all ways the proper main 6th in neo-saban that i enjoy more then the main 5.

Hulu usually airs episodes the day after they air, if you really want to watch.

Campy, more than most, but fun. It's nice to see new episodes.

I hope we get Go on Wings key...and Gokai Christmas key. The morpher does say "Merry Christmas"

The beginning of the episode was a neat montage and I enjoyed it, though I admit - all I could think at the beginning was ORION DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THEY WILL THINK YOU ARE SETTING UP BOMBS TO BLOW UP THE SCHOOL. Because, you know, kids in school by themselves at dark are trying to do that these days.

I thought Azim did an INCREDIBLE job with this episode. His ADR was spot-on-perfect for every scene, you really felt that he was annoyed and pissed the entire time. But I do have some complaints.

1) Save us the Megaforce and Super Megaforce Silver Ranger fight scene and use it to film something new instead of using Bioman. The constant inclusion of non-Power Rangers powers bugs me only because it takes away from another possible homage to a previous season.

2) Cameron Jebo's ADR was atrocious. I love the guy and he's brilliant in person, but his ADR felt dry - but it still had better emotion in it than anything Andrew Gray does with Troy. ;)

3) They didn't adapt the awesome morph-while-running scene that Doc had in Gokaiger. What made that scene so cool was that it was the actual moment where the Green Ranger decides to put aside his differences with Silver and do what's right - and allows Silver to have the time to morph in to the Gold Mode Ranger. Instead, a quick pep talk about that started with the most insane amount of guilt-tripping ever "Hey, my entire planet was horrendously massacred and I am the only survivor, I'm sorry you feel bad that your friends got put in to a Cinderella-esque sleep" followed with "We're teammates now! It's destiny! Yeah!" and it's all better. Not the best writing guys...

But still cool to see the Go-On Wings in the show and in new footage too.

And we also have our first Zeo Gold Ranger sighting - albeit briefly in the Gokaiger dream sequence. Still no new footage.

I WILL HOLD ON TO HOPE.

I really enjoyed it. It was not Great but it was Good. I don't see what the big deal is about using the old Sentai teams. I don't care if they name them or not. If they did name them most of the kids watching won't know who they are anyway. The adults who do recognize them, recognize them, so it doesn't have to be said.
I can't wait to see the rest of this season. :)

The big deal is its laziness. You aren't celebrating 20 years of the franchise if you're constantly making references to things that have never ever been part of the franchise before. It takes away from the things people actually WANT to see.

Yeah kids won't care either way, and they're the target audience so that's a fair argument. But they have time and time again said (or at least acted like) that this season supposedly caters to older fans too. Not all Power Rangers fans are Sentai fans, and I'm sure a lot of Power Rangers fans (such as myself) would rather see the franchise stand on what its established than lazily fall back on whatever cost cutting measures it can take.

THAT is the big deal.

It just occurred to me, why does Saban even bother anymore? 90% of the footage in the show is sentai. So why not just dub over the sentai footage and call it Power Rangers Gokaigers? Why, why even bother anymore?! Did Saban just dump all of its' money on the MMPR Movie and forget about Super Megaforce? I bet Dino Charge will be the exact same thing. 90% sentai footage and stupid voice-overs during fight scenes.

There's a difference. Samurai/SSamurai, Megaforce/SMegaforce were both headed by Johnathon "I hate effort" Tzachor. Dino Charge is headed by Judd Lynn. Who has a very good track record of making excellent seasons of Power Rangers. Just look at his work. He started working midway through Turbo, and was with us right up until Time Force. And those years had the absolute best PR seasons we've seen. Plus, from what I'm reading this new cast actually cares. Look at Yoshi "Nossan" Sudarso. He knows the source material, he's worked in PR before (as a suit actor), he even has the blessing of Nossan/Kyoryu Blue's actor Yamato Kinjo.

I understand your frustration with this season. We all have it. But have hope for the future.
