His real name is Shinnosuke Tomari. I like him.

I like him too. He looks very cheery.

He looks like he'll be fun. I can't wait to see him and Kouta team up.

Now that's something different. We had cheerful riders before the last few years, but he seems to be the innocent child-like type? Didn't expect someone like him under the Drive helmet, but the surprise sure is a positive one, he looks like a fun, likeable person.

I have yet to hear or see 1 thing that I don't immediately like about this show. I really like the idea of a sentient belt that gives advice. It's like Kamen Knight Rider!

I don't know guys...

I get this feeling that this rider is supposed to be more geared towards kids.

Which yes... that is the point of riders and sentai... but I'm just getting a real heavy "Younger audience only" vibe...

Have you guys seen the scans of how the Tire Sash changes? OMG it looks so badass.

I have seen them and I think its damn awesome. And damn its a cop themed rider show! I love this more and more every minute :lol

While many people are happy to see a MC work as a police, I look at that differently.
Based on the police Jdrama history Tomari Shinosuke will most likely be killed at the end of the show, just because it is how the formula works.
If he is not the one his closest friend will be his substitute.

I really really hope he's like Hikawa/G3-X from Agito in personality, I think that personality in a Main Rider would be so much fun.

If the Rider after Drive is gritty and mature or something, I can see this show becoming the Goseiger of Kamen Rider.

I second that. Hikawa is one of the most heroic dudes in existence and I love that quality in my riders.

Suit and tie? no crazy fashion? I don't know man... :lol

Why I like this dude:

1. His surname means stop. Considering that he is based off a car, that is funny.

2. He got that Kuuga beauty mark.

3. VERY 90's toku-protagonist vibe

So I guess the tire sash is pretty much a recycled gimmick of Magic Girl Beast's mantles

I find it interesting how he uses the kanji for "cool" and "true/genuine" instead of the common "dragon" and "horse"

I'm holding judgement on him, and the series, until we start seeing episodes. I pre-judged Gaim and now it's my favorite Rider series I've seen. I'm still not in love with the suit though. But he looks alright.

Everything seems to indicate a complete reversal from the direction Gaim took, from his cheery face before transforming to his belt talking.

Mixing it up doesn't sound bad really. I'm still looking forward to see where Drive takes us.

My friend Lewis wore a suit and tie to any thing. We bet he was going to show up in tracksuits to a formal event, but he didn't :)

Ugh. I do not even like dressing up for job interviews. I couldn't imagine walking around looking like that. It's also why I can never cosplay as someone that wears a suit and tie.

This is a cop themed show right? Im gonna like it regardless, but I was expecting, I dont know, someone more older? Serious looking? Note sure. :lol

I actually really dig this guy. With a smile he looks kind goofy and carefree. But put that serious badass face on and I can see him ready to destroy monsters.

I like him ^-^ Not to mention I just hope the rest of the force is as useful as in Kuuga.

What..?I've watched many police Jdrama's(one of my favorite genres) and only two had a main character killed at the end. Sure that could be seen as a little higher than most, but since Jdramas are only suppose to have one season most of the time they don't have to worry about keeping the status quot. There is no reason just to assume Tomari Shinosuke will be killed at the end

Exactly, not only that I don't think I've ever seen a cop JDrama where the main cast weren't wearing suits(well except for the forensic team who wear their uniform blue jumpsuits and cap)

Kamen Rider Drive is looking to be awesome. Mr. Belt and a car otaku-policemen. What could be better than that?!

And the tire might be silly but at least it's there for a pretty decent reason. Overall, this feels pretty grounded after some silly concepts in the past.

I'm nervous. This totally feels like a "Hey, ToQGer has great merch sales! Let's do what they're doing but with CARS instead!"

Could the success with Gaim's toy line, which influenced later episodes of the series so they could create more toys, become the new norm for Kamen Rider? IE: "Let's follow the Sentai formula and make it entirely merch-driven"? I hope not. Gaim's success comes from a great story - ToQGer's success comes from collectible toy sales as the series itself while apparently doing better than Kyoryuger in ratings is losing what little adult fans are left.

I dunno. Not optimistic right now.

I think I might like this series. I like the happy, silly types, I mean look at Den-O, the Imagin were silly, & they've been in like 10 movies already. Plus the tire/sash thingy, sure it may seem like they're cheaping out & they probably are, but think about it, when they make the inevitable Drive Figuarts, maybe Bandai will feel bad for the people losing money right out of their pockets, & just make the sashes interchangeable like Jimba Lemon Arms, because it would just be ridiculous to make 4 different figures of 4 forms that essentially look the same. Dang it, I just went off on a tangent, but nonetheless, the guy seems cool, the suit is awesome, & the form changes, though nothing much, have cool abilities, which I hope will make for a great show.

Yeah, I watched them, back in like 1990 when I was 8.

This is pretty much the same as with Go-Onger and W though... The Gaia Memories work the same way as the Engine souls do.
