Hmm.

Yes and no.

Yes because you get Dino Thunder, Mighty Morphin, LEGENDARY SQUADRON, and Zeo Legendary morphs. A lot of original footage (most of it unmorphed). And some new footage of the Megaforce Rangers with Silver.

No because the episode isn't breath-taking and jaw-dropping. It's not a "YOU CAN'T MISS THIS AWESOME EP!" type of thing. It's an average episode of Power Rangers that makes your nostalgia feel.

"Tricera Shield!" from Dino Thunder Blue.
"Let's use the Zeo crystal!" from Orion before turning in to the Zeo Rangers.
"Mighty Morphin White Ranger! Saba!" from Orion.

Someone will rip it I'm sure.

Dairanger gets a name now? That's pretty neat.

I still think "Legendary Squadron" is a really uninspired cop out for a name. It sounds more like the offhanded comments from the first half of the series, "Blitzing" & "new power" than an actual proper name for anything. Otherwise not a very bad episode. Certainly better than a majority of the first season.

They'll always be Power Rangers New Powers to me.

Maybe Power Rangers New Powers Force.

I originally thought that the line that Troy uses was spoken out of context. Like, they should have said "Legendary Ranger" instead of "Legendary Squadron". But Orion's reply makes me think that it was intended.

"Let's use Legendary Squadron mode!"
"Great idea - I'll use Mighty Morphin!"

Still sounds kind of awkward and almost like an error, the dialogue would've been exactly the same if "Squadron" was replaced with "Ranger", as Orion's reply would've simply been referring to the fact that using a Legendary Ranger Mode was a great idea, rather then specifically "Legendary Squadron" or whatever.

Although "Squadron" is a pretty acceptable translation for "Sentai" so maybe it was completely intentional.

Or worse yet - something they didn't catch through Google Translate.

Suddenly, "Power Rangers New Powers" sounds like the most creative thing since Pillow Pets.

That was episode was a lot of fun! I loved the story with Tensu and the action with the monster was good.

I'll wait until it airs, or see if it comes up on Nick.com again early.

Not too bad. I can certainly appreciate that much original footage, even if it was mostly unmorphed stuff.

Well, just saw it. Couldn't wait till Saturday. I agree with others in saying that the original unmorphed scenes were done rather well. They have an exceptional quality that ALMOST instills a new respect for Neo-Saban, but then you hear the ADR work and are brought right back down to Earth. Tensou's voice actor actually did more than the traditional whining or Command Center tinkering and mistaking a suitcase for another like him feels rather thought out. The writing during the chase wasn't terrible, but it felt like Emma got the short end with weak dialogue. The whole deal of not looking in the suitcase seems like they were stressing morality out of necessity, especially since Emma was the one who grabbed in full view of the public who had no idea of her intentions. The guy who mistakenly grabbed Tensou was made to look more suspicious than he actually turned out to be, and that was a good move on the writers part, as well as the mention of Vrak. The first battle with Sirjinkor seemed flawed because they started in the middle, which made Mighty Morphin' Green and Dino Thunder Blue seem random. The Zeo team attack was called "Dynamite Attack" and was clearly inspired by its Ohranger designation. I'm actually surprised they adapted this episode. It wasn't bad nor perfect, but it was above average.

P.S.: "Legendary Squadron" doesn't work for Dairanger, but it is a step in the right direction. Personally, based on what was done here, I would say use "Star Squadron" instead.

Huh. So that's how they explain the all-Dairanger morph without causing people to question "Why is the White Ranger not fighting with the MMPR?"

By just handwaving it... It works, but I still don't like it.

But hey, if I wanted to watch pirates turn into past heroes, I'd watch Gokaiger.

Giving the Diarangers their own name is better then nothing I guess. I do wish they film their own footage of MMPR White/Kiba Ranger with the other MMPR/Zyuranger rangers or at least pay Toei to re-film that scene over again. I would imagine a casual fan who does not follow Sentai would be confused by watching that scene.

So they called the Dairangers Legendary Squadron.

Not Power Rangers Thunderstars like I had hoped. Not Power Rangers Star Force, nor Power Rangers anything else that has Star or Thunder in it. Just Legendary Squadron.

Screw you too, Saban.

They should have just called the Dairangers the Morphin Masters. They were mentioned several times in season 1 as the ancestors to the power rangers already.

im taken sqadron more as any non pr team group morphs. like how the others or jake just call it legendary mode for one ranger change

I liked it. It was fun, it had a few moments I facepalmed. But I overall enjoyed it.

Was I the only one that found Tensou's voice really annoying?
