Which Sentai to Watch?
 

So far the only Sentai I've really watch is Gokaiger, though I have seen some other stuff here and there like an episode of Go-Onger and Dekaranger, Boukenger vs Super Sentai and Deka vs Magi. I've been considering starting to watch some more Sentai but I'm not sure which I should start with. I'd like to watch either:
Go-Onger
Shinkenger
Dekaranger
Or if I can find subs Carranger

Any reccomendations on which one I should start with, or maybe one I didn't list like Boukenger or Magiranger?

So far I've watched Deka, Magi, Boukenger, Go-Onger, Shinkenger and Goseiger. Out of those I HIGHLY recommend Dekaranger and Magiranger. Shinkenger is excellent too, but not quite as good as those 2 IMO.

Go-Onger you'll either love or hate, and Boukenger/Goseiger aren't so great.

My favorite was Kakuranger

I've only seen like 2 eps of Gokaiger, but everyone speaks so highly of it so I will need to get back to that soon. I also have all of Shinkenger downloaded.

I've just been too busy with Kamen Rider to make any Sentai progress :)

I like Kaku so far, and Shinkenger is real good too. Shoudaphone!

I watched Gao, Deka, Magi, Bouken, Geki, Go-On, Shinken and Gosei. Out of those I really loved Deka, Geki, Go-On and Shinken. Magi, Bouken and Gosei were decent and Gao was alright, but I love the zords from that one.

Gokaiger is a must though. just too much awesome.

Best 3 modern Sentai:

Hurricanger - The first 7 episodes are BORING...then with 2 minutes left in ep. 7 the show grabs your by the balls and never lets go.

Gekiranger - 99% perfection.

Shinkenger - "We're the bad guys..we are here to destroy the world".... "We're the good guys we're here to save the world!"....Thats your entire plot, sounds pretty dull right? NOPE a cast like no other, Shinkenger is ALWAYS interesting every episode!

I agree with Kaijumaster's recommendations 100%. I do like Go-Onger, but that is a very case by case basis and you have to see it yourself to see whether you like it or not. A few friends of mine love it, then some hate it. It really depends on the viewer for that one.

I'd highly recommend Magiranger, Gekiranger, and Shinkenger. All three are very solid overall, especially Shinkenger.

id say skip Carranger honestly the whole show was meant as a parody of sorts of Sentai and really its not that great. id say skip Magi and Deka as well as I find both of those unbelievably boring

and for the love of justice, just skip Goseiger you wont regret it

I grew up watching Choudenshi Bioman, which is undoubtedly one of the best from the Showa era. I lost interest in Super Sentai when Power Rangers showed up. Then in 2004, I got hooked on Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger. At the same time, I picked up Denji Sentai Megaranger and Mirai Sentai Timeranger. I went offline on Super Sentai afterwards, but fully regained interest with Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, which had me downloading every Super Sentai series available online.

With that in mind, here are my recommendations:

I'd recommend Go-onger only on the grounds that you're looking for something completely absurd and gimmicky.

I'll have to disagree with you on Gekiranger. It was pretty good yes, but it had a few glaring flaws. The introduction of Chopper was out of the blue. There was no build up or any kind of foreshadowing.

The only character in shinkenger that is not like any other in past sentai, for reds, is Shinken Red. The rest are generic character types.

Or if you want a more light hearted series with a fun cast of heroes and villains.

Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger was pretty good overall. It was the second Sentai I watched after Shinkenger. So it was cool is see an "older" series.
