Super Megaforce Ep 12 - "United As One" Poll and Discussion
The Megazord is damaged! Vekar is sick! Only human happiness can cure him! It's up to Emma and Orion to stop the monster! Orion and Emma get married? Can Emma save the day?! Airs this coming Saturday on Nick. Watch it online now! http://www.4shared.com/video/vdEtwfy...BD%D0%B3_.html NOTE! This episode was postponed a week as Nickelodeon recognizes World-Wide Go Out and Play Day! |
Man, adapting Ahim's costume plan from Gokaiger REALLY didn't come out very well here :lol
I'm glad Orion at least pointed out how ridiculously elaborate it was. |
BOO! No Dino Thunder Pink/AbarePink Key! LAME!
Damn you Saban for robbing us of a great opportunity!!! |
Man oh man these episodes just keep getting worse with the editing.
|

I'm actually surprised they didn't use AbarePink and instead used original footage. Then again they'll make up for it with fucking Changeman (Legendary Dragon) in "Grass is Always Greener or Bluer". Levira's first line this episode was the STUPIDEST THING I've heard in days. LoL the only reason why Emma didn't turn into AbarePink was because of a fucking kite. bahahaha.

I don't understand why Saban and Nickelodeon are dragging this show on and on and on. France already burned off all the episodes and showed the Finale Yesterday (September 19). Let's just get on with our lives and let it be over already.

As far as I'm concerned, The World Wide Day of Play is the ONLY good thing they have done in a long time. |
The Episode, which didn't air last week due to Worldwide Play Day, airs today on Nick at Noon EST!

This episode was so bad I think I need an ambulance. Orion, when everyone else calls on Super Mega Power... shut up. You don't need to yell it to. You're already Super Mega. You start that way!
It is getting increasingly uncomfortable seeing Jake pretend he's Doc. Scenes that worked in Gokaiger don't work in Super Megaforce. They just don't, especially Doc's. And then Troy. Mister Hero, Mister Squeaky, just so casually leaned against the wheel of the Megazord and lazily fired his pistol. "DON'T LET GO OF YOUR WEAPON, Oh but you fire that bitch like a true Gangsta!" And then the cosplay stuff.. that wasn't bad, if I'm honest. I was expecting the worst but it worked. Especially Orion commenting on how elaborate it was. Where, exactly, did she get the police cruiser?! Even the first scene with the Rangers had issues. Like them trying so hard, atleast twice, to keep their identities secret.. yet they call out the Monster and damn near morph in front of a whole wedding party! The best part of this episode was the Dino Thunder morph, and that was almost entirely Gokaiger footage. And that's sad somehow. This whole season is sad. I'm sad because of it. |

*EDIT* Also? I would give anything for Saban to cement Gia and Emma's lesbian relationship. That line at the end reminded me of the Incent Folgers commercial for some reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5Ir6CzxKl4 |
What Gia/Emma lesbian relationship what?

It's just they come across as a little bit more than best friends. Which there is really nothing wrong with. =0 |

What? If I can't have a decent anniversary show or even a decent Goseiger adaptation, I can at least have possibly intentional/possibly unintentional lesbian undertones. With this show's acting it's hard to tell. :lol |
This episode had some good points, but it was a little...weird. Keeping the whole "cure the Prince with happiness" plot feels out of place in PR, but fits in perfectly with the Megaforce worldview, which just seems to show how much Megaforce disassociates itself with the rest of PR in general, despite all of its "valiant" efforts. I will admit that showing more of the monster in original footage to better replicate the Gokaiger counterpart was a step in the right direction because it showed a one episode villain doing and saying something. The original footage of the Megazord's internal compartments didn't look all that terrible either. However, Emma's plan feels a little too contrived here, not just "elaborate." Unfortunately, I think Emma gets the short-end of a very low-end product. Her lines just feel weak and seem to be pandering to modern-day censors and needless exposition. The Dino Thunder usage felt rather random here, like most of the other Legendary Ranger Morphs. There was no build-up to it at all. It would have been nice if there was at least a "Mighty Morphin" change to Pink by Emma because it would have started the whole "Go to the Dinos" instead of the whole "Let's do this as a team since we haven't done so yet" DT morph. I felt like Emma could have done something else rather than making a kid's kite fly. The episode's title "United as One" only seems to reference the inevitable arm-switching, "all six in the same cockpit" part of the plot. The good parts of this episode were more isolated than necessary here. Dino Charge should not have to suffer from this, and I hope DC Pink isn't forced to make a lot out of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
