I assume these are sound series/gasphapon in style, very tempting though might pick them up but owch that price.

If you go by price per lock, it's actually cheaper than the Dark Gaim set. There you get three locks for 2592. That's 864 yen per. This set is 14,580 for eighteen locks which amounts to 810 yen per. It's not a huge difference, but still. It's just a lot of money to pay all at once.

Five bucks says one of the secret three is ShadowMoon.

I knew we'd get Lockseeds of the ageist assholes known as the Showa Riders.

I dunno, I'm just not feeling this set. Maybe I'm just burnt out on Gaim merch.

All look pretty good to me. And when you do look at how many you're getting, the price doesn't seem all that bad to me. It's still a lot, sure, but makes sense.

Maybe another is Tackle?

How do I buy them?

i'm assuming that the three mystery lockseeds will be ShadowMoon, Tackle (both mentioned earlier) and Shocker Rider. i could be wrong about the last one, but the other two are just too obvious not to do.

Oooh, Shocker Rider could totally work.

I hope that's the case. I'm pretty sure I'm going to grab the set anyway, but that would be the icing on the cake.

i think maybe one of the three mystery ones could be kamen rider stronger charge up, possibly.

Shocker, Tackle, and Shadow Moon are my guesses. It's not like there's a lot of options.

I could see Apollo Geist being one.

Man, those Lock Seeds look good. My guesses for two of the three secret ones are Wizard All Dragon because it was revealed but never released, and Shadow Moon because why not, he's awesome.

If it's a Showa set, I wouldn't expect Wizard to be in there.

Now to figure out how much buying Stronger off someone would cost me after middleman fees.. Math >_<

I'd be happy to divide up the set with someone, but the only ones that interest me personally are Ichigo, Nigo, and Super-1.

It'd be awesome if Bio Rider and Robo Rider were two of the secret locks, though. I'd be down for Bio.

But we still got three for OOO and two, almost three, for Wizard.

The cost of engineering that many locks with springs, button activation and LEDs? Not cheap lol

Yeah, but it's Bandai PREMIUM. We already have gashapon/candy toy locks for some of these, but DX versions would make it worthwhile.

True. But Modern riders have a bit more going for them in their forms than "Has gun" and "Has stronger sword" They probably could do something with Bio is terms of adding some liquid sound effects in addition to the Bio Blade. But I have no clue what they would do for Robo.

This. If albeit unfortunate, the average DX lockseed is $20 and that's on a mass produced level. I doubt many would really want to pay 360+ USD for this set.

You gotta remember that PREMIUM BANDAI also means MADE TO ORDER.

Sure they have the resources to make them, but what's the point in making a bunch of DX lock seeds that not everyone would buy? It's a lot more beneficial for them to produce Gashapons because of their composition.

That, and for OOO, I feel that the argument of him having 3 Locks is cause of the popularity of his TaJaDor Combo. I mean, they released the Ankh Lock Seed before it, so it was bound to happen that his popular Red Combo (Which was also the last combo he used in his show's run) would be made. And I'm glad they did make it! (hugs his LED TaJaDor Lock Seed)


The actual retail for DX Lock Seeds is around 1600-1800, which is at the last time I checked the exchange rate $15-17. So more like a $276-311 value before shipping. Better off making a Gashapon which people only really pay 400-500 yen each, bar the rare 1/50 LED gashapon versions which sell from anywhere from 1200-2000yen on Mandarake

I'd say wait a bit til the Oren Donguri and Dark Orange/Lemon set get released to see if there's LEDs, cause their also Gashapon style.

Several people have managed to make their Gashapons LED versions by connecting the LEDs from Wizard Rings to the circuit boards for Lock Seeds

Literally only Rider1 and Black RX. 2 out of 15. Not that many.

I don't think so. Premium usually sees a price increase to begin with.

I wouldn't count on LEDs. If they lit up, then this price would be pretty sweet.

I'm getting it either way.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Although it does seem like something that would have been mentioned.

Even if I know what I'm doing, I'd still rather not open up a lockseed. I'm funny about modifications and things like that.



I'm just not gonna go through the trouble of getting another RX if the only thing it has going for it is a louder speaker and some translucent bits. I still will go after a Shin, however.

Eh..... Im done with Gaim unless its DX anyway, and I am not a fan of Showa anyway. So these are a pass just as the Dark Jinba set.

Technically four for OOO if you count Ankh, Den-O got four if you add in Momo and New Den-O, then Wizard and Fourze both have three with their secondary riders. Heck W got four with Skull. So New and popular equals lotta lockseeds.

So who knows how much other shows will get.

I still hope for Zeronos...

It looks like the Shows Set versions of Ichigo & RX have slightly different sounds than their Candy toy counterparts:

Ichigo:
Squash: Rider Tailspin Shoot
Ole: Shin Cyclone-Go
Sparking: Rider Double Kick

RX:
Squash: Revolcane
Ole: Acrobater
Sparking: RoboRider, BioRider
I guess they didn't want people who already the Candy Toy versions to feel like they had two of the same Lock Seed.
