Ah, this douchhole. The one I loved to hate before his very timely death. I love the design of Duke- probably my second favourite energy rider, after S-Zangetsu. He needs a javelin weapon. The javilemon. With lemon slices on the end.

The main thing that sticks out to me is that moment I realised he was Aguri in Garo, because how drastically different they are as characters made me completely blind to it.

I never really liked his character. Good thing that man didn't get to live.

Best villain in a long time. More interesting than White Wizard/Wiseman and Sagittarius from Fourze. I'll tell you that much. He drove a good bit of the final chapter. From leading the team into Yggdrasil Tower, to tricking Micchy into letting him operate on Mai so he could have the golden apple for himself. But don't get me wrong. When Baron thrashed his ass I was cheering. He deserved what he got. After what he did to Micchy, and Takatora, and everyone else he screwed over. My only regret is that he is dead and won't come back as a villain in the summer movie or any other crossover that might come up.
Or he might. You never know.

I didn't realize that until I started a re-watch of Garo. So weird to see him be a likeable douche in one show and then an evil douche in another.

I feel he was a good villain, but I don't see why he gets his own post and the Nut Bros. get a grouped post. I could talk one whole thread about Zack and Jonouchi separately lol. He reminded me of Hojo from FFVII just a little less crazy than Hojo. Though I don't think he really got to show how strong he really was though.

Yeah... Ryoma was a good insane villain.

The villain Gaim needed. Nuff said.

I usually gravitate towards the scientist types in fiction but that's not why I like him.

He had this weird teenage mid-life crisis look and attitude that made him look anything but a researcher/scientist. He had an odd charisma but his fervent fascination helped drive the fact he's a scientist and the best at what he does.

I love how overt he was towards the end but still is douchey towards kouta (as he had to gulp down sour lemonade) and revels in it. He's 2nd to Takatora in the Energy Riders tier for me..

His armored from was based on a king, he could turn invisible, recorded everything everywhere FOR SCIENCE!, had a henshin pose evoking the Zyurangers... I could go on. Ryoma is awesome.

Ryoma was one of those characters you loved to hate. What a despicable asshole... but he was a lovable one. Duke was also an awesome Rider though I think they built it up too much without enough payoff.

I love Ryoma/Duke, great villain, he is pure evil, betraying Takatora, rip Mai's heart to get the forbidden fruit etc what a sinful guy :thumb:

One of the best antagonists I have seen so far. Nice henshin sequence, awesome finishers. His personality too, is cool. Ryoma's a man of Science, and by golly is he one of the better mad scientists I know. Plus, he developed the Drivers in the show, and has a kill switch for some of them. His Armored Rider form has a beard as well.

And oh, a Professor in shorts? Better than Professor Birch, imho.
