Share some of your memories of these two memorable characters. And their endings ... especially Marika's ... do you agree with them? Should they have been changed?

These two energy riders really don't resonate with me too much in terms of sympathy.

Also, did anyone else think that the Genesis Driver had so much story potiental but got shoved to the side in the end? Anyone who had a Genesis Driver either got it blown up or got killed (If they used it exclusively). I understood as part of the story that all of these evil people had more power and they were gonna die anyway but it kinda fell into the same rut of treating the users of the second belt like shit.

These two were the definition of self absorbed ass ( Sigurd ) and loyal subordinate ( Marika ).
They are the first riders that I legitly hated in terms of morals. I did like their design and how they generally were good fighters but damn they were asses well Sigurd was Marika was kinda just to loyal.

Anyway, I will still miss them cause I felt that Yoko and Sid had a ton of potential but you know for plot reasons they died.

Sid was a terrible fighter. He relied entirely on brute strength to beat down his opponent, and got trashed as soon as he faced someone on equal terms with him- note the difference between his first fights with Kouta and Kaito, and then his fights with them after they got Jinba and Lemon Energy forms, respectively. He fought in a manner fitting for what he really was: A bully.

I will always hold a lot of respect for Yoko. She may have fallen victim to the curse like most of the others, but she's still the longest lasting female Rider by a lengthy margin and undoubtedly the most badass.

Marika has to be my 2nd favorite energy rider and 2nd favorite peach rider.

Marika is the one character I couldn't stand in Gaim. She gets respect for being the most prominent female Rider in the franchise, but she was so awfully characterised that it pretty much negates all of that.

Thank god, I’m not the only one who thinks that.

In a direct comparison between Sid and Yoko, I would still pick Sid as the better character, even though he’s just the bad bully with big ambitions.

But Yoko? All I can think is “Fangirl”. In the worst way possible. Everything she does is fanatically following a dude and when she thinks he’s not worth it anymore she follows the next one. She never does anything for herself or her own good. You may think: “She decided to do that so that’s her thing” but that’s crap. She’s even sicker then Mitsuzane if that’s all what she does.

I seriously expected her to rebel against Kaito when he lays out his plans and die fighting him because she realized what she really wanted in life (not being a doormat for someone else) but taking a blow for him only to die without achieving anything… that’s ass.

I’m really torn because her actress looks like a very nice and funny woman on the set-pictures, but I hate the role she plays.

When it comes to Rider-forms Marika is my least-favorite one in the entire show. Maybe because they gave the girl a pink peach-form. Like… really? And the looks aren’t that great either, the helmet looks really weird. What jumps the shark though are the giant boob-bags the armor has. They disappear when the armor attaches but you can clearly see what they wanted to do with this.

I wish we get another female badass Rider sometime, but with better characterization.

Sid I kind of like as the slimy dealer, I think his actor plays this well. I like the Rider-form with the Nordic tone, the crown looks a little weird but overall pretty good. Imagine someone who can actually fight in this and I like it even more.

If they do FiguArts of Marika and Sigurd I would gladly buy the later, maybe Marika too for a complete set of Next-Gen Riders. Maybe they sell them in a two-pack to make my decision easier.

To defend the boob bags part I will have to say that when the armour is a fruit and unfolding it is larger in proportion like the AC figures, hence those...bags. When the armour forms, the proportion is like SHF. I don't know if you are referring to something else but that's my reply.

I also agree with the peach fruit thing, it looks good on nothing but Marika, as if it was made solely for Marika's base suit.

Also, can someone tell me what is Yoko role's in the story? I have not paid close attention to what goes on and what is said.

To be fair, with the exception of Baron Lemon Energy (which was completely unplanned) all of the Energy Arms were tailored to one specific suit. In fact, considering how Minato is able to summon the Marika suit using Ryoma's Driver, I'd go so far as to say that, unlike the Genesis Drivers and normal lockseeds, the Energy Locks contain the data for both the base suit AND the arms. I assume Kaito's was modified in some way- I don't seem to remember him needing to replace his Lemon Energy lock.

Good point too, maybe Lemon Energy has too much Ryoma Cape Swag that it outshines Peach.

In the transformation-scenes from the side you can see it even better. These boob-things are huge in the 3D-model, and they get flattened out once the real suit comes in.

I know the proportions change on other arms too but it just looks weird. An armored suit shouldn’t have breasts to begin with.

You know, I really liked Yoko most of the time. Before her character was totally ruined in the end.
My problem isn't even the whole "I follow Kaito"-thing. With a good build-up of being totally crazy about seeing the new King, like... being some motherly figure for the new king, this would actually have been kinda cool (I always considered Yoko very motherly towards Kaito anyway). But not only was the proper build-up for this lacking, THEY DECIDED TO FRIDGE HER. Honestly, what where they thinking? Her death meant absolutely nothing for ANYONE on this show. Here's how you take a good female character and ruin her by going with the trope that almost seemed to have been forgotten (aka female Riders always die). Thanks.

As for Sid, his final scene had the same problem as Yoko's follower-complex. He said he didn't want to be anyone's lackey anymore... but we never saw that on the show. Yes, he was a subordinate to Ryoma and Takatora, but he was usually acting relatively independant. So his death scene lost a lost of its potential. It wasn't as bad as Yoko's, but it also not as cool as Ryoma's.

I liked Yoko, but I feel that she didn't completely live up to her potential, mostly because of her follower mentality that others have already mentioned. She was definitely a badass fighter and could have been a serious contender for the Golden Fruit, it's too bad she ended up as nothing more than a glorified lackey for the most part. Still, she was far superior to any other female Riders we've had in the past, so it's definitely a step in the right direction.

Sid was one of my favorites though, he was a really fun character with his chronic backstabbing and just being an all-around unapologetic bastard. It helps that his suit was one of my favorites too, I really liked the Viking look. Too bad his Sid Lockseed ended up being mostly pointless though.
