I really wanted Kiva, so consider me disappointed. The original was definitely in need of a redo though, and this one doesn't look bad at all.

I'm with the Kiva crowd, but I'm okay with this. I plan on having all the main Heisei Riders, but I haven't gotten the early guys because I'm waiting for renewals.

Wow Kuuga looks nice. I guess I can sell my old Kuuga SHF now. I was hoping for Kiva as well, but I can wait for now. I guess Kuuga's forms will be renewal too since the other forms were web exclusives and Kuuga Ultimate Form may be too old to be reissue by next year.

Yeah, I think with this one the differences in sculpt really are like night and day.

So far all of the Rider renewals that I own have been great. Black 2.0 is my favorite Rider figuart of 2014 and Kabuto renewal is pretty great too. I hope S.H.Figuarts Shinkochou Agito or W will be next later down the line.

Ohhhh...I'm conflicted. I already have the original one and it's one of my favorites. That said though, it definitely isn't the best proportion wise and the renewal looks much better in that aspect. Plus, yeah, it'll have all the bells and whistles of what Figuarts are now. I love Kuuga but I don't know if I want to double dip for about $50 or so dollars when I'm happy with the version I already have.

URGH! So bitter sweet. Looks so good, but DAMMIT, it isn't Kiva!

Why do we not have Kiva yet? This is inexcusable!!!!

On the other hand, holy ****!! Now THAT is a vast improvement!!!

I just hope Bandai remembers how to do this thing called Quality Control.

I was gunning for either this guy or Kiva, so I'm fine either way, the paint on my old SH Kiva and SHF kuuga are both fading because I owned them during a period where I didn't really take care of them so it'll be nice to at least next year replace one of em :D

I need this now, and I'll probably have to go sell my Kuuga now. Wow that looks beautiful.

Staff are working on #4 and #5 already.
The order of Rider planned for Shinkochou Seiho is linked with the release of Tamashii Effect sets.
BURNING FLAME = Hibiki
IMPACT = Kabuto('s clockup actions)

Tamashii Nation 2014 will show new Tamashii Effect lineup, and may hint the next Shinkocchou Rider.

Renewal of Black, RX, and Shadowmoon is deal to popularity overseas (Asia).
S.H. Figuarts Rider renewal = ver. 1.5.
Releasing Robo Rider, Bio Rider, and bikes is a project to reproduce the scene in Kamen Rider Black RX Around the World.

Also looking into Shinkochou Seiho for non-Rider characters.





Suika Arms for S.H.Figuarts was planned at early stage, and probably will be the largest item for the series.
Knuckle and Jam will probably be out.

So glad I waited before buying this guy. The old one has history, but the renewal is just amazing looking. I'm with the Kiva crowd too, but I'm sure it's not far off. The funny thing about Kiva is they have no old figure to improve upon, so it will be interesting to see if they hit a home run with him or not.

Well, Kiva's basically in the same situation as Hibiki and Hibiki was fantastic so I have faith.


And of course they would announce this a couple of weeks after I picked up the original Kuuga SHF....gaaaaah! Definite pick up for me. Now please bring Kiva.

Kiva will come soon enough I guess, there's still plenty to be announced next weekend.

Meanwhile Kuuga looks beautiful. So glad I never picked up the original (although if I had, I'd probably just pass it off as Decade Kuuga now).

Although I too would have liked Kiva, I'm totally fine with this. I've specifically held out on buying the original Kuuga because it's dated, I was waiting for a renewal version. Glad it's finally here!

That bit about the effect parts is really neat. I'll definitely be paying special attention to them now.

Based on the pictures, I don't think so. It looks like he has the standard wrist joint.

I love Kuuga, so I am all over this renewal, even though I have spent countless dollars amassing all of the Kuuga Figuarts.

I probably wouldn't rebuy every one of Kuuga's forms in a Renewal version, but then again, I really do love Kuuga, so who knows, I might.

Uh, Figma Cap doesn't have Figma-style wrist joints? All the Avengers have ball jointed wrists.

You really see the age of the original Kuuga. Like Kabuto and Black, he looks very gangly and thin compared to the new mold. I look forward to replacing mine.

Fair point, except all my newer Figmas have this same style of hand.
I guess I mean more the way the peg doesn't have any way of clipping into the hand (or into the arm for older Figma wrist pegs). The peg is smooth and offers no resistance, so the hands just fall off. They need a mushroom peg or somesuch, like Figuarts have.

That's nice, but Agito needed a renewal just as much, if not more.

After this, which figuarts need Renewals? Obviously Agito, but W, Decade and Wizard could all benefit greatly from them as well.

Wizard is still fairly recent though, so I assume he's waaaaaaaaaaaay at the bottom.

I'd like to see the Gokaigers revisited with less cartoonish proportions, though it'll likely never happen.
