2015's Super Sentai Rumored?

So a trade mark appeared for what might be the Sentai show after ToQGer.

Seems like the rumor going around that it's Ninja again could be true, the text to look for is 手裏剣戦隊ニンニンジャー or translated means Shuriken sentai Ninninjā

Of course this could be fake, so do take this with a grain of salt for now.

Now THAT is a very different type of name if true. No more -gers for once. This could be awesome if it pans out, hopefully better than Hurricanger for the genre. But Shurikenger must make an appearance :lol

Its not that different of a name. The katakana used at the end of the name are the same they always use when the Teams name ends with -ger. So it could just be Ninninger and not Ninninja.

Well, I'm currently predicting that the next Taisen film will be Drive teaming up with the three Car themed Sentais (Turboranger, Carranger, and Go-Onger), so the three way Ninja Sentai battle will most likely be for the 2015 VS movie.

It seems I'm the only one not excited about the prospect of more ninjas.

To help try and make a point for myself heres me just spitballing better motifs:
-Branches of science
-Myths/legends
-Fairytales
-The Solar system (works as a Sailor Moon homage just like Jetman and Gatchaman)
-Ancient civilization/aliens (sort of like Ohranger)
-Knights
-The ocean
-Men in black-esc (sort of a prequel to Dekaranger)

That's just off the top of my head, surely ANY of these would be better than ANOTHER ninja sentai

Additionally, you're only going off the motif and the motif alone. It's like if the next Sentai was based around pirates and complaining "We had pirates in Gokaiger!" despite knowing nothing of the direction they're taking it in, theme, tone, or gimmick.

I'm aware. I'm not saying the next theme being ninja would damn the season to being mediocre, I just think a different aesthetic would be interesting. The only season similar would really be the proposed Dekaranger "prequel". Magiranger had nothing to do with myths, or legends, or fairytales, just magic, and Ohranger had potential but because of the political climate veered wildly from what it could have been. I believe we haven't really seen sentai with the motifs I've thought up (again, very quickly, and, again, sans Dekaranger)

I'd rather a theme they haven't done AS MUCH and with a much longer time since the last one.

I can promise I'm not nitpicking for attention, nor do I feel I'm jumping the gun, I'm literally just voicing my opinion on the prospect of having yet another ninja-centric series. It interests me why the majority of the other posters(is a word?) seem to be all for it. I enjoyed Hurricaneger and Kakuranger was alright, I guess I must have underestimated the love for the two series.

I would love to hear people's reasons for excitement for the potential 3rd ninja installment.

(this post is 100% sarcasm free. I know understanding tone on the internet is difficult.)

Again, we literally know NOTHING about this series other than a name that hasn't even been finalized yet. Hell, for all we know this image isn't even real.

You're totally jumping the gun here, and all I'm saying is that it's way unfair to judge this series just based on name and motiff alone. So how about just calming down a bit and wait till we get more info?

Hell, look at Ohranger. It's motif is shapes, it's theme is ancient super powers, but it's actually about a military organization. It's all over the place :lol
We're going into this ninja thing blind.

I'm not implying that you're saying that you're preemptively judging it, I'm just saying that things aren't as clear cut with Sentai anymore. Hell, at this point, Sentai is basically a random word generator. "Card Angels" "Anniversary Pirates" "Dinosaur Batteries"

Kiryu, I hold that you're reading into my tone wrong. I promise I'm not really wound up about this, I just saw a potential piece of news and responded to it. If I'm jumping the gun in saying that I DON'T want another ninja sentai, would everyone else saying that DO want another ninja sentai then also be jumping the gun?
