Guess this shoots that rumor down for good.

Niiiiice. Now I´m really excited to see who will turn out to be Kamen Rider Mach.

If they're different people, I'm all the more interested to see the reasoning behind their combining bikes.

....maybe that's just proto-mach, though :)

Someone said that it's just possible that they're preparing to do a henshin-shot, for Chaser to change into Mach. Honestly, I'd rather them NOT be the same person.

I'm with you there... Chaser's design is too good to just throw it away.

And I rather see Chaser become some sort of anti-hero then to just morph into a Kamen Rider.

What I can see happening is that Mach shares some kind of bond with Chaser, instead of them being same person. Their bikes can combine in the toyline, if that gimmick appears in the show it kind of says Chaser and Mach need to be individual characters, since someone needs to drive Chasers bike to this combination. It isn’t sentient from what we can see so far so it wont drive itself there.

By the announcements and that Chaser gets his own toys I kind of hoped they would make him an enemy that lasts through the whole show and undergoes some kind of character development, not just become the sidekick Rider.

I don't see how Chaser would turn into Mach. The suits don't give off the feel that they are connected. Though I can see Chaser getting some type of Kamen Rider form in the future I don't think it'll be Mach.

And the bikes combining don't prove that they're 2 separate people. Double could control the RevolGarry with his phone so if the machines do belong to one person then 1 could just be remote-controlled.

On a side note, Mach kind of looks like a storm trooper in this shot

True, but why is it even around when Chaser is Mach? Shouldn’t the bike transform alongside him? What does he need two bikes for? Other then an "Epic Split"-finisher of course.

Honestly, regardless of whether or not Chase is Mach, I'm still kind of sad that there's a Kamen Rider in this show with a bike. I thought the idea of being like "oh, there totally is a costumed character in Drive who rides a bike," and then making it a bad guy was a really cute twist.

I was honestly thinking Drive might be a one-Rider show for a second before Mach was announced. It would've fit the Showa throwback feel the show is going for, and made a nice contrast to Gaim, but then it turns out we're just going right back to the Den-O/Double formula.

That being said, how the heck is the dynamic between these three going to work if they are separate characters? Drive and Chase have explicitly been set up as rivals, by the show and the promotional stuff, but then we have Drive and Mach, who are clearly on the fast track to being rivals, what with the shared form.

I'd also like to note after all that negativity that I'm already loving Drive at least as much I did Gaim, and that I'm sure I'll end up liking whatever they do.

I really like the look of Mach in that picture, and so glad that he's not Chase.

There is alot of ways how the Toys could be used in the show. Chase could become a good guy, Mach could start out as a bad guy and then later turn good or Mach having powers that let him control certain kind of machines and thats why he can use Mashin Chasers bike for the combination with his own.

I've been saying it from the start. There was no way that Proto Drive, Machine Chaser, & Mach were all the same dude. Proto is almost implicitly Chaser. Mach will likely be a brand new character introduced in the teens as many modern rider shows have done since Den-O.

Either way, it's gonna be predictable as fuck like W-Wizard.

I have a feeling Mach is likely going to become good. I personally getting tired of the anti hero secondary riders starting off as the typical badass then becoming friends with the main rider at the end. One reason why I love Baron since he became the show's final villain at the end then just becoming the best friends forever type of guy.

I do hope Mach & Chase are separate. I SO want Mach's identity to be Shinnosuke's old partner.

Make Mach be another Accel and Birth. In my vision, I can see Mach being Hayase found by a mysterious man like Shroud, who helps heal his leg and tests him if he can become Mach and fight alongside Drive. And the mystery man can somehow be connected to the man who created the Drive system.

What if the current Chaser is actually a modified human that's being controlled by a Roidmudes? So then the actor currently playing Chaser becomes a 'new' character after being freed. He then become Mach and the Roidmudes stays in chaser form.

It's plausible given that the roidmudes 'take over' the lives of people.

I remember reading from the Episode descriptions of this month that a new Reporter character is being introduced, I think possibly that could be Mach.

Honestly I really do want Hayase to become Mach, he would make a great candidate for a secondary rider and go back to the stuff like Kiva where you know the character who is becoming the secondary Rider.

Just had a crazy thought About Mach and Chaser: What if Mach is Proto-Drive but M-Chaser is the the Proto-Drive shift car turned in a Roidmund?

Its NOT gonna happen!

Anyway... what if when Hayase turns out to be Mach, Drive explains to him about Chase. Despite what Chase always does when going after Drive, Mach sees him as his "competition".

If Mach and Chase get trapped in a jam somehow, they'll be forced to work together and THAT'S when their two bikes combine into a special vehicle.

what about this: the roimudes created mashine-chaser to fight proto-drive, but seeing the fast development of drive and his Powers they make a New, stronger, verition: Mach. and that is why the bikes combine.
