I try my very best to polish this season into something other than the turd it's been.

What the FUCK?! FUCK THEM ALL! FUCK FUCKING FUCK?! Fuck ALL those OTHER POWERS!! FUCK CHANGEMAN! FUCK FIVEMAN! FUCK FLASHMAN! FUCK MASKMAN! WHY THE FUCKING FUCK?!

Now then, I do like those suits, I just can't stand swig them where they never belonged and never should belong. It is not a nod to Sentai fans. It is defecating on the faces of both the PR and SS fandoms.

And perhaps it is because I watched ALL of Kiva last month or I'm playing with my new IXA Figuart, but Yellow Five's flute whistling with every swing made me think of Fluestles.

I was fully prepared to give this episode an average. Despite them using suits never used in American shows before, despite them using Dairangers power in Megazord mode. But no. It's getting a Poor. Know why?

"They need the ultimate power... Him!" Freaking make then whole damn finale about JDF why the hell not. You know that internet meme "It's not the Justice League, it's Batman and his Bitches"? That's pretty much what Saban turned the whole damned season into.

What happened with the "ultimate power" thing? I've just seen a bunch of people tweeting about it but I don't remember anything from the UK airing, so can only assume it was a marketing preview for next week's?

Yup. The announcer said "And they'll need the ultimate power to save the world... Him!" And then they show JDF dressed in his knock-off Green Ranger suit.

How they fit his ego in the shot I'll never know.

Ew. At least the episode itself doesn't fawn over him quite as much I guess.

I'm looking forward to the episode just for the thread because these reactions to the bullshit that is Super Megafarce are the best part of the show bar none. :lol

I guess I'm the one single person on this entire forum who loves Super Megaforce. I even put it as number 2 on my 5 favorite Power Rangers seasons on that thread right behind Mighty Morphin itself.

That being said, the ONLY negative I have about this episode is the Zords getting destroyed. I HATE whenever they do that in Power Rangers!

Apart from that little downside, bring on the Legendary War!

I am dreading the next two episodes like you cannot imagine. I'll watch them. But nothing you can do can make me enjoy them.

Keep in mind though, that this advertisement isn't the idea of Saban, it is that of the network, and they are idealing trying to get higher ratings by promoting a return-cast actor, who is a fan favorite.

He's not this fan's favorite.

It's the dreaded curse of nostalgia. It's hurt Transformers, it did a number on Ben 10 and of course Power Rangers will and may seem like it will always suffer at nostalgia. Not everyone likes the Original Green Ranger and having fan favorites passed over just to hype him up is only going to hurt this brand more and more as time goes on.

He may not be your favorite, but Mr.Frank is a staple of the Power Rangers community.

Trust me, I'm not a fan of the guy either. However, back in the MMPR days he is what got MMPR off it's feet and onto a brand-new chapter, and made people really-really get into it.

That and he has been doing his damnd'ist at cons and on Facebook to keep the Ranger Spirit alive.

He is somewhat the unofficial mascot of Power Rangers. For always and forever.

And that is one of the reasons I worship JDF. Just like John Cena is the Face of WWE, JDF is the face of Power Rangers.

Interestingly enough both of them have rather massive egos and body types to boot.

JDF doesn't really bother me as much as he does others mostly because I don't really care that much about the actor behind the character. Hell, I didn't even know his name until the whole Morphin' Madness bullshit. I do think that if going to whore out nostalgia the should atleast say that the entire Mighty Morphin' team is the "ULTIMATE POWER" even though I think that's a loud of crap but alas Saban is whipped by Nostalgia. :(

I knew there was a reason I stopped super watching Super Megaforce. Because it was super poor. And you made Ernie drop his smoothie. Nobody makes Ernie drop his smoothie. Super.

My problem is still the same, and hasn't changed. We still have a blank series calling itself an anniversary with blank characters doing blank things that was adapted from a monumental anniversary show that blew out all the stops. It could have been a contender. I don't think I'll ever understand the adaptation.

Which was the Dairanger megazord attack? All in all, i gave the episode a great rating. It was good on its own and set up for a grand finale(whether THAT delivers is another issue)
And what the hell were the wings on QRex's back? It looked like MegaWinger...

Why is it a knock off suit? I see it lacks the silver stripe everyone seems to hate...

Only because they digitally edited it not to be there.

It was the Mega Winger..... At least, that's what it was in Gokaiger.

When the Legendary became the Phoenix and started flying around destroying ships? That was Dairanger.

I have no clue what it's suppose to be in PR, but in Gokaiger that's the Jet Phoenix attack from Jetman.
