TK-05 Drive Type Technique Revealed!
 

Looks like once again Drive is trading out the Tire Koukan gimmick to another part of his body.

Drive Type Technique will feature the TK gimmick on the neck of the figure!

Tire placement is pretty silly once again, but I like it. Love the green on this guy as well. Looking forward to seeing the show suit.

I like the suit otherwise but that tire placement is seriously ridiculous, although slightly lessened by the bulky shoulderpads.

Looks like they made a Kamen Rider out of Beast Wars Depthcharge. Not complaining, I actually love this design. It's like a drift car, sort of. Which is what I was hoping Type T would end up being. And I love him a hellauva lot more than Wild.

i was just wondering where the tire would be, i was placing bets on his legs or wrists because i didn't think they would do it sideways on his chest since it might get in the way of the arms, either way i'm going to really like this one i wonder what tires are going to be for it

The funny thing is I know I've seen that chest design on another Transformer design but for the life of me I can't remember which one...

Why couldn't the colors for Technique have been used for Wild? :P

I really dig this design. The Tire around the neck really shouldnt look as good as it does :lol

I still like Type Wild more because of it's colors and tire placement but this also has a pretty good design to I'm just not fan of the color green.

Vega is going to look amazing with this.

Interesting. I don't dislike it, but it's definitely my least favorite of Drive's forms so far. The helmet design just isn't doing it for me.

I absolutely love this thing. If the toy looks this good the in show suit will be glorious. I really expected the tire placement to be different for this Type, but I'm excited for the possibilities it creates. Wild really made the gimmick work in a new way, so I'm excited to see what Technique does.

Oh man, these suits are just starting to get uncomfortable looking.

It looked pretty good as a suit, and it's not bad in full. The helmet is kinda weird and a little boxy, but not bad. I like it better than Type Wild.

Uhhh...another crap design. How did they go from awesome with Type Speed to, this?

I haven't been impressed with any of the upgrade forms either. They may look better in motion, but they just aren't doing anything for me at this point.

To be honest I think they all look freaking awesome, however I never been disappointed by a rider design save for Meteor Storm, so who am I to judge?

The tire goes on his neck? That is just incredibly silly yet creative. The other two had tires in practical places but this is just wow. I like it! Hopefully type technique is as cool as his design.

Doesn't the Fire Braver tire and the Door gun come with this figure or am I remembering wrong?

I was hoping the wheel for that form would be on his left shoulder.

I kinda saw the tire placement coming, honestly. I don't think I like the design THAT much, but I'll hold off until we get to see the real suit.

That's correct. Door Gun for sure, I'm not 100% on the tire though, but Fire Braver sounds right.

So are Midnight Shadow, Max Flare and Funky Spike going to be incompatible with this one?

I'm sure they'll still be able to connect, but at least on Shadow & Flare you may not be able to fold out their pointy bits. Wore case scenario? Max Flare has 6 flares that fan out from it. When connected to Technique you leave 2 on either end folded out, but the ones that hit the shoulders are are folded in. It's not like the tires need to spin when attached to a figure since that's not really a feature of the gimmick in toy form. Funky Spike's spikes aren't much of anything so I doubt they'd impact movement at all.

If you hit his head hard enough the tire pops out. :P
