Godzilla PS3 game coming to North America in summer 2015
 

According the official facebook page, Namco Bandai US plans to release the upcoming PS3 Godzilla game for Summer 2015 in the US. There will be more at the Game Awards show tonight. No word on any possible Xbox version for the North American release.

I would love an Xbox-release but I don't see it happening.

I don't have a PS3 and the PS4 has no real backwards-compatibility so... crap.

The Toho Kingdom site staff member Chris Mirjahangir said that he has been talking to Bandai/Namco about a North American release for the past two months and have been showing them the big fan demand for the game in North America. Right now, the game has been doing well in Japan since the pre-orders for the game has been great and Namco Bandai mention a possible sequel on the next gen consoles.

You're right though, in a way. But for many people, including me, the Xbox was just the cheaper option at the time. Wasn’t that much thought put into it. My next console will be the PS4 so I won't have that problem anymore.

I played a little bit of the demo and it was fun. It's the Godzilla game that I always wanted as a kid back in the 90's since there was no Godzilla game on the N64 and PS1 (In America).

The first xbox was perfect for odd niche games (hell it got JSRF), the 360 onwards however definitely not the consoles for japanese games, it's bombed two generations now in Japan even after they tried so hard with all those JRPGS for the 360.

So yeah go sony or bust on japanese games, even just for the lack of any region locking on games.

On topic. Oh god I'm so happy they're bringing it over, it would have been really expensive to import over here, so now I can wait and just use all of my trade in vouchers to buy it whooo

I'm almost imported the game on Play Asia until the news was announced. I hope the PS4 version is worth the extra $20 price.

How big is the Demo? Since my internet connection isn't the fastest i'd like to know if my PS3 will be running all night XD
